I read in the Jags stats that Dareus had 3 combined tackles on Sunday, about the same production as in Buffalo
does it concern you?
or could this make you feel better

DL MARCELL DAREUS, 81.7 OVERALL GRADE
The Jaguars newest acquisition didn’t disappoint in his Jacksonville debut. Dareus only played 12 snaps, but in those he notched two run stops.

Who is hanging on to the past?
If you wish to claim otherwise here is the reality of today. New England is once again leading the division and they have proven they’re capable of winning in spite of perceived weaknesses this year. The Bills will have a very tough time unseating them from their lead in the division. Yes, there is opinion in this series of statements but what facts exist to refute them?
Next, the Bills schedule in the early part of the season has by record the weakest teams they will play.
The Jets game exposed the Bills.
The point of the above is not to be negative but to recognize that as long as the Cheats* continue to have a stranglehold on the division the Bills have a tough uphill climb to get into the playoffs. The road to the playoffs goes through New England if the Bills truly want to lift the 17 year fog they could start by winning both games against the cheats* and take the division.
seems there are a few that are.
you are entitled to your opinion and I'll be looking forward to the opportunity the team will have in the games ahead. I can only control my destiny, I'll just sit back and watch/wait to see where the bills take theirs?

If a guy does something bad to a girl in a long term relationship, like cheats on her, that girl is not going to forget the past and just turn the page.
If she stays with that guy, they are going to have to build up lots of trust, and he is going to have to prove to her that things are changing for the better.
For me, going 5-3 isn't enough trust yet, and especially after that Thursday nighter, those past 17 years of failure start to creep in my mind again. It's good that you are optimistic, I'm just not there quite yet
interesting analogy. it's not so much optimistic as it is just letting it play out as it will and leaving the past behind. sure you can compare past records but past teams are not going to be the same as the present team. too many differences with players and coaches. one thing I am so far confident in is the new regime and the process as well as the thought that they finally may have a competent FO? that in itself should give some the hope that they finally may be turning the corner?
as it stands, game 9 at home against the saints, then go from there.

DaBills - serious question for you my friend.
Let's say the Bills lose to the Saints and possibly another blowout loss, just curious what your mindset will be regarding this team going foward? Just another game with plenty left? Sadly this is the same old Bills? Indifferent?
obviously 7 more to go. if I had any choice in wins and losses I would rather see afc/conference wins so with that said a possible loss to the saints would not phase me all that much, life goes on. I also haven't the capability to control a teams destiny nor claim they are the same old bills until all is said and done. I wait too long through an off season to not try and appreciate the here and now. I live for today and hope for tomorrow.
one thing you can count on from me when it comes to the future, I'm no nostradamous.

The problem is that the Bills have provided 17 years worth of doubt creating examples. They way they lost to the Jets only fuels the fire in the current season. Not only did the Jets stomp on the Bills but to make matters worse the Bills appeared to have no fight in their response.
The fog of 17 futile seasons is hard to lift.
if I clung on to the past, I'd never be able to appreciate the present nor the future. sorry, I'm not the type to hang on to the past.

I like McD and think Beane may turn out to be a good GM.
But after all those years of soured hopes, it's hard to be very optimistic.I try to take it one Sunday at a time.
that's where I stand. one game at a time.

some of this fan base is really jaded when you come out and say wins are not impressive and project failure for the remaining 8 games.
I know, I know...17 years

yeah, wins are always less impressive...for some bills fans.

Welcome.
I HOPE it's going to be a good one, as I think that's the best chance the Bills have. If it's a blowout, I'm afraid your boys will take the prize. I'm not know as a negative poster, but I try to be realistic---and the Bills don't match up well against the Saints, IMO. Hopefully (for us) home field advantage, and opportunistic football (turnovers) give us a shot. IMO, this is a big test for this team, and the new regime. See if they can bounce back from a horrible effort against J.E.T.S
fixed it for you...

agree with most all of your post, seems plausible. but I'm leaning towards a win 24-23. they may give brees at tough time and come away 5-0 at home...
