  1. nice to see the OP wrong.

alonzo put a nasty hit on flacco.

    dirty hit?

Joe Flacco suffers concussion on hit from Kiko Alonso

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000867728/article/joe-flacco-suffers-concussion-on-hit-from-kiko-alonso

"It was bang, bang," Alonso said. "It got to a point where I thought maybe if he slid a second sooner, I was anticipating him sliding and I was going to not hit him, but I think it was like, you know, a second late, which is why I hit him."

Alonso added there wasn't anything he could have done to avoid hitting Flacco like he did.

  2. ...functionality and protectiveness over looks?...ask Kelso............then again, if it is hopefully MORE protective, the NFL will have to heavily combat the "best and the brightest" who think these equipment advancements give 'em a green light to use it as a weapon.....

wasn't so much shape, aside from the masks, as it was color/logos.

  3. I think effective NFL QBs have to be smart and process information quickly. To me that means more than having a huge arm that can throw a ball 60 yards in the air. The limited time I saw Peterman I think he has that kind of processing ability.

Could be wrong of course. And I'd be delighted if TT keeps upping his play. But just my opinion.

cool. I don't/didn't see that in him. not to knock him and he may get his shot but I see him as no more than a viable back up at this point.

  4. I think Peterman will be the starter next year because he'll earn the position. I think sitting and learning this year will help him, and his skill set will fit the offense. Quit assuming I have certain expectations.

TT can win and I hope he does. Ultimately Peterman to me will make a better QB.

everyone pretty much knows/accepts taylor is not long term (may even start again in 2018 depending on the rest of this season) and they likely draft another QB to sit behind taylor (and peterman) while getting some bench time and 2019 seems like the year they may see the rookie starting?

I'm just curious as to what you base "ultimately peterman will make the better QB" on? maybe a competition for the starter next off season? a lot of it all depends solely on taylor. if he were to lead the team in to the post season, why even think about the back up taking over?

just my two cents, I see peterman staying right where he is. although I wont go as far as to say "ultimately" he will.

Partly off preseason, partly off college. I said earlier I think Peterman will start and that they will draft someone round one or two.

I like TT, and have said they should let him play to his strengths: manage the game, be careful with the ball, and run when he can. But to me success with that would be limited. A guy that can hit receivers quickly and move the ball consistently has long term greater chance of sustained success. I have doubts TT gets there, and to me Peterman may.

    college/preseason?

not enough to "ultimately" make him the better QB.

  5. for those keeping a close eye on the QB prospects. who is really standing out where you would say, we have to have that guy? I also agree with those about how many teams will be looking hard to snag one in the first round? could there be a diamond in the rough in later rounds? or will 2019 be the year?

so many questions with answers that remain to be seen.

it's really too early to tell, me thinks.

  6.

You didn't get the point of this thread, did you?

I get that this discussion will be a good one in the off season. I get that the team is made up of nobodies and a HC that seems to get the best out of them. I also get that with 10 games remaining in the season I will hold off looking to next year and what they do in the draft, until this off season.

    miss anything?

I'm onto Oakland. (with 10 more games to follow)

    I also get this.

I also get that if you want to look that far ahead, it is your prerogative.

  7.

but.... it wasn't impressive for looking forward

the Steelers and Pats put the hurt on their opponents and looked like division winners

Bills squeaked out a win at home against a middling opponent....

but....patsies struggled against the same team and the steelers are not winning all that impressively but it's always easy to put your team down and degrade a win.

    have a nice day

  8. I think they recorded 6 fumbles on that last play?

(:08) (Shotgun) 3-J.Winston pass short left to 10-A.Humphries to TB 36 for 5 yards. Lateral to 34-C.Sims III to TB 33 for -3 yards. Lateral to 13-M.Evans to TB 25 for -8 yards. FUMBLES, recovered by TB-76-D.Smith at TB 25. 76-D.Smith to TB 30 for 5 yards. Lateral to 84-C.Brate to TB 23 for -7 yards. FUMBLES, recovered by TB-13-M.Evans at TB 23. 13-M.Evans to TB 23 for no gain. Lateral to 10-A.Humphries to TB 20 for -3 yards. Lateral to 34-C.Sims III to TB 14 for -6 yards. Lateral to 11-D.Jackson to TB 6 for -8 yards. Lateral to 13-M.Evans to TB 14 for 8 yards. Lateral to 11-D.Jackson to TB 29 for 15 yards (99-M.Dareus).

  9. TT had a good game yesterday. But here's something I would have liked to see him do. That dumb call at the end of the half, the one McD took the blame for? TT could have and should have changed the play at the line. He should know you have to throw into the end zone or to the sideline there.

He should have enough savvy given his time in the league to be trusted with audibles.

as bad as it was and it was bad, it's behind them. hopefully he and the team will learn from it moving forward?

  10. Just my humble opinion, but go ahead and hang on to that 1 throw he made all game that wasn't a line drive from 5 yards out or wasnt overthrown by 10 yards.

Is he the QB on my team and do I want him to succeed? ABSOLUTELY. Is he a good throwing QB? NO.

Why cant people just admit this. It's not a personal thing. I dont know Taylor. I just see the game and notice that he is dangerous when he leaves the pocket. He has no confidence in the pocket. Yesterday he had Matthews open in front of him for an easy catch and he ran out of bounds. Earlier in the game he throws a 1 yard pass to Matthews to kill the half time.

    Go Bills!

    Enjoy Taylor!

Once TB solves their defense, this team will be a contender.

at the end of the day, a majority here know he is not long term. most, like yourself want to see him succeed while he's here and so far they sit at 4-2, 10 to go. most know he's not the greatest passer. as for the hang on to that one throw, damn nice throw I may add. thompson had 4 catches (no line drives from 5 yds) for 107 yds (27, 22td, 23, 44 ) not a bad day for just signing with the team and only few days preparation.

it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me to try and put him down after a decent game and a win none the less. that's just me though, I'll give props when they arise and I will agree, to a point, when the criticism is warranted. I'm also one to not give a whole lot of praise to the opponents QB or lavish in the fact they may be better and the team would do better, if in place of taylor. why, to prove what? it is what it is.

nothing wrong with hypotheticals though, even if unrealistic.

that's not to say I don't respect the play out of some of the top QBs in the league. winston is no rogers. he does have some good weapons and makes the throws but he's also pretty careless with the football. would I want him on the bills. no thank you. taylor will hopefully suffice and 2018 may have a diamond in the rough they'll draft and go forward from there. not a big winston fan and glad we beat him and his team yesterday.

    Enjoy Taylor!

Once TB solves their defense, this team will be a contender.

I may of misunderstood you for a bills fan. but this says you're pretty high on winston/tb?. they gave ne a run for their money and had the kicker got off the shitter, they may have won the damn game. they're not as bad as their record shows but I see no reason to praise them/him?

  11. aww.. you miss me. how sweet.

    :)

Tyrod played just well enough to win. i guess that is all one can expect. i do know though that 3 points on 3 turnovers is simply not enough. that gaff at the end of the first half is inexcuasable. a pass to pick up 4 yards? nah, if anything it should have been to the endzone.

they could/should learn from it. McD took the credit for the clock mismanagement. he is a rookie HC who seems to build on mistakes and has the team behind him that could and has so far led to a winning formula sitting at 4-2. TT for at least this game, silenced the (some) doubters with a 4th qtr comeback which to be honest, I even had doubt it would happen.

one game at a time, on to oakland.

    can you dig it Foxx

Do you see XRush, Crusher, Foxx, a couple others?

XRushX has been here and about and spoke quite positivly. your buddy Crusher has been banned. Foxx is a good guy who just wants the best for the team, mainly the QB position, can you blame him?

calling some out just to basically stir the pot?
