  1. any direction they go will hopefully be the right decision. does McD risk going with a rookie his first season? can they find a equal or better in fa? or do you stick with TT and hope he can pick up his game from last season?

my gut says they move on from TT. I mean you can use the "we're going to go over all the options" but if they were really going to keep him, it would of already been a done deal imo. you may get some trade value for him from the browns if that is the direction they go?

McD has a real challenge ahead of him regardless. no rookie is going to come in and be the next Dak although I'm sure there are some that feel watson could be the guy but how many times has college to the next level been a real successful transition for a rookie? I'm not as high on watson and you might as well just stick with TT if they were considering taking him. fa QB? who? romo? could he really make it 16 games? with his history, doubtful.

going to be real interesting and wont be long and we should have the answers we're looking for...?

  2. according to the announcement, its permanent. The team wants the fans to use the social media platforms instead.

yeah, was going to edit my post. I see it's official. there was a time it was a good place to discuss bills football. I was a member there 8 years and lurked for a good 5 before joining. they're using the reason for shutdown as a move forward with the social media sources but I have a hunch it also had to do with just a big decline in quality of posts/posters.

  3. it was inevitable. it was ridiculous with the trolling and back and forth arguing and no real good discussions anymore as well as veteran members leaving the board. I had them close my (no delete account option so they banned my account) account about a month ago. in a way, I'm glad it's shut down but have to wonder if it's permanent or just updating the board? it wasn't long ago they had updated the forums there?

on the main site when you click "message board" it directs you to the buffalo bills facebook page.

  4. decisions, decisions

with or without Taylor McD is in for a big challenge going forward.

    draft

    fa/replacing players

    scheme adjustments

    schedule

it would seem this would be Whaley's last regime carousel if it were to fail and they need to improve in all phases, especially defense. offense was top 10 last season but one could expect changes with a new OC and still question remaining at the most important position? could be as good, better, or worse?

I believe the D improves with McD/Frazier/Waufle bringing in a new philosophy and discipline...

  5. It's time for him to grow up. I understand your point but he needs to show some leadership. Nobody cares about this and in a week no one will remember who is on the list. Set an example for your team mates and demonstrate that all you want to do is win and not worry about your numbers or recognition. Could you ever imagine any Patriot player reacting to this silly ranking? The answer is no.

    I agree with you.

  6. He needs to just shut up and not worry about this stuff. Who cares???? NOBODY. He's a good rb but he is still an immature child.

you really can not blame him, to a degree. yes, maybe he should ignore the stuff but who else is. you can blame it on social media/media/forums/technology, the 21st century. it is what it is and trust me, it's not going to slow down...

  7. Don't give a ****, either win or get the !@#$ out. !@#$ing quit on a team like a dirtbag, you deserve to be permanently injured.

    that's pretty extreme.

personally I wouldn't/wont blame them if they quit. why would you want to give 100% when the GM is going tank mode and that is what they would be doing by starting CJ. he showed in the Jets game he is far from ready to take the reins. also, why would a new staff want to risk their first season with an unproven QB or even a rookie? TT is the best option at this point and can manage the offense the next couple seasons until they possibly draft the future in the next couple of drafts.

  8.

Because best player plays. That is what happened with Russell Wilson in Seattle his rookie year. He was not supposed to start but he won the job.

thank you for your input but to me it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay him middle of the pack starter money if he were to lose a competition to either a 2nd year 3rd stringer or drafterd rookie? I know some are high on Watson (using as merely an example) based on his college level of play but I see him struggling like he did in the first half of the championship game against bama once he has to face nfl defenses. not saying he couldn't be a decent QB, not saying he will be either but chances are real good he (or any rookie) will struggle. that said, I really don't see a drafted rookie or Jones beating out Taylor in a competition and really see no reason to even have one if they were to going to pay him while going forward.

    just my opinion.

  9. So if it's really up to McDermott and he decides to keep TT, I sure hope we bring in viable competition in FA/trade or draft one relatively high to compete as well so he's not just handed the starting job. It should be an open QB competition, as much as I am tired of them around here. The only way to stop holding these every other season is to find your guy, and we haven't found him yet.

I don't care how much TT makes, which isn't even that much for a QB. I just want the best QB we can feasibly get on the field for the games and I'm not convinced that he's it.

just a question out of curiosity. say they do go with the contract or even an adjusted contract and you know he has been the starter for the last two seasons and by signing the contract, a basically middle of the pack level contract, why would they have a competition of any kind assuming they draft a prospect who will likely sit a season or two and keep Jones?

competition between Taylor, Jones and draft prospect?

now, if he were not to go with the contract and moves on they will have to bring in at least two more QBs assuming they cut ties with Manuel, then you would have good reason for a 3-way competition.

where do you get the idea "not just handed the starting job" when he is/will be considered the starter if they go forward with the contract?

    just curious
