  1. Because the Bills need to decide what to do. Whichever choice they make will be wrong in the eyes of many.
  2. You have to decide which side you'd rather be wrong on. That's the side I chose.
  3. Oh well. Then go play for someone else.
  4. All I know about any of this is the kid will get his day in court, possibly multiple courts. If he's cleared he will get an opportunity to play with someone. If he's not then he won't. At this point it doesn't need to be Buffalo because the distraction that will happen between now and that time in the future when all of the court dates are over isn't worth it for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. You could tell me right now that he will be a HoF punter and that he will be 100% exonerated 12-18 months from now and it doesn't matter. This season CANNOT be derailed by a god damned punter. It's been 24 hours and I'm already tired of talking and thinking about it and I'm just a fan, I'm not in the building, I don't have to deal with the questions and the scrutiny and just the constant weight on my mind like it clearly showed McD was feeling tonight. I don't want them dealing with this every single day and that's what will happen and the public scrutiny of it will frankly be appropriate given the exceedingly long list of things football has covered up over the years from high school all the way up. They don't get the benefit of the doubt anymore because too many people burned the public for believing them, or wanting to believe them. At the end of the day I want the truth to come out, whatever that truth is. I also want my football team to be in no way connected to it.
  5. What would be the purpose of waiting? If they've decided to cut bait then you cut bait. It's not as if they cut him tomorrow AM and then suddenly won't be able to sign a punter. On the contrary, they'll have every unemployed punter in the league banging down their door.
  6. Yeah I don't think that's necessary either. There are plenty of warm bodies out there and there will be more after cut down. Talk Pat McAfee out of retirement. Whatever.
  7. He did a good job of not touching it.
  8. Smart players won't touch this with a 40 foot pole.
  9. That's fair. I'm certainly not going to defend any of the statements they've made in the last 24 hours.
  10. Given the circumstances, that he's "good in the room" might be working to his favor at the moment.
  11. The actual police just concluded their investigation, I'm not sure what you want a football team to have done differently.
  12. I also noticed that McDermott stopped short and rephrased to avoid referring to MA as "one of our players"
  13. Having more information would make it less stressful in my eye, makes the decision easier. I doubt they know much more if any more than we do at this point.
  14. That's probably in the realm of .0001% likely
  15. Could be one of those "we're on it, we'll handle it" situations and it very much wasn't handled. I'm pretty sure the Bills are gonna have some new background investigating people and a new West Coast area scout pretty soon. Let's hope it doesn't put a wedge between the coach and the front office because I can see how it could.
  16. That's how it looked to me also but who knows.
  17. Well if that's what he wants that's what should happen. If it gets to the point where there's dispute about that he can say I won't use him. I'll go for it on every 4th down and go for 2 every time if you put him on this roster.
  18. I fully expect to see renderings tomorrow given recent revelations.
  19. Regardless of how this goes, they have to at least bring another punter into the fold don't they? Lachlan Edwards?
  20. They just turned it in to the DA and I will say this again, lab work is very slow and I'd imagine the state of the world the last 2 years has not helped that backlog
  21. Either a bunch of people got food poisoning from the team spread or somebody got the squirts and didn't wash properly and spread it to everyone else. They left the team sashimi platters out in the sun.
  22. They ain't sneezing it onto each other. Captain poopy hands didn't wash up after a rough night on the bowl
  23. Wash your hands gentlemen. Wash your hands.
  24. Per Canadian law: As of April 26, 2022, lawful permanent residents of the United States must show these documents for all methods of travel to Canada: a valid passport from their country of nationality (or an equivalent acceptable travel document) and a valid green card (or equivalent valid proof of status in the United States) Alternatives to a passport which he probably doesn't have nor can he get: Citizens of the U.S. who are members of the NEXUS program may present their membership card as proof of identification and as a document that denotes citizenship, when arriving by air (when coming from the U.S.), land, or marine modes. Citizens of the U.S. who are members of the FAST program may use their cards as proof of identity when arriving by land and marine modes only. Permanent residents of the U.S. who are members of the NEXUS or FAST programs must travel with a passport and proof of permanent residence, and may be asked to present these documents to the officer upon arrival at the border.
