IIRC he went last year. It didn't help. It's make or break year for him.
I think it did help, Joe Marino´s podcast touched on him being better (not there yet, tough); with 20% DROPS (10 out of 50 pases, or so) going down to: less than 10% in 2020 (something like 4 drops out of 60 passes, or so) and TDs going from 4 to 7, year to year... so... not a strong TE yet, but improvement was there... IMHO

Super weird, for sure, but its his way of not answering the question. By taking it to the extreme and making it about "any player" he's avoiding answering the question altogether. Which, of course, is a way of answering the question...
Bellysisck of the NFC side? maybe, and to think that C Cowherd was stating that Kyle Shanahan might be one of th top smart guys in NFL, together with Bellysick... and he trips this way

Are you like a Ryan Fitzpatrick type backup, or more of a Nathan Peterman?hahahaha!😆I think the former more than the latter! 🙃, i see myself throwing as many picks as 60 YD bombs, with the eyes closed! but no doubt being a confident hell of a guy in front of pressure. Anyway, don´t worry Mr. @whatdrought, I´ve seen the alert / aspirant list, has grown 10 fold since it started, so I will spend my days in reading the fun stuff you all guys are posting here! Thanks for the interest, tough...

Alright everyone, it's mock draft time again. Like last year, the goal is to complete 3 total mock drafts: No Trades (2 Rounds), Trades (2 Rounds), No Trades (3 Rounds). In prior years, the final mock is for our yearly contributors and those who were active in the first two mocks. While it's a mock and our accuracy rate is trash 😋, we still like to take have some fun and keep it as realistic as possible.
For the Bills picks, a poll will be posted for everyone to vote in.
Here's the rules:
1 - Everyone has 5 hours to make their selection. (If you miss, your pick will be made for you by either @whatdrought@BuffaloHokie13@Reed83HOF and you will lose your spot in future mocks)
2 - When you make your selection, the format should be as follows:
With the 30th pick in the TSW Mock Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming.
The Kansas City Chiefs @Virgil are on the clock.
(It's also encouraged to write brief summary explaining your thoughts)
3 - Do not derail the draft thread with excessive comments about prior picks. Discussion is welcome, but it went a little sideways in one draft.
Draft Time:
The first pick will be within 24 hours of when we get 32 owners. That could be anywhere over the next 72 hours. If you sign up, please make sure you are paying attention. I would recommend following the thread
1 - Jaguars (Buffalo716) - QB, Trevor Lawrence, Clemson

Dear @Virgil. I know I have not been involved much lately, and skipped last 2 year´s mocks, but just because I like your dynamic a lot, I would like to propose myself, for the ¨waiting¨ back up list, for any team that doesn´t show up, assuming their announced back ups are already playing this mock or not available in the moment (>5 hrs) you need them. Thanks in advance whatever your answer comes down to... let's all have fun!

McDermott likes the concept of “Growth Mindset.” You often hear this expression when he talks: “We embrace that growth mindset…” When Beane and McD evaluate college players and available FAs, one of the qualities they’re looking for is a growth mindset. That's why the documentary has that name.
For those who may not know, the expression “Growth Mindset” was coined by Stanford psychologist, Carol Dweck, and popularized in her book, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. In a nutshell, she says people can be divided into two groups: people with Fixed Mindsets and people with Growth Mindsets.
People with fixed mindsets don’t see future growth on their horizons. “This is who I am, get used to it!” Or, “I have a bad temper. That’s just who I am.”
But people with growth mindsets see themselves as forever malleable and capable of new growth.
If you want to know what children in school will achieve the most in life, don’t look at IQ. Look at mindset. People with growth mindsets accomplish more because they don’t put false ceilings on themselves or see themselves cast in concrete. They’re always looking for ways to learn and grow.
And that’s the mindset McD wants to see on the Bills.
Flawlessly said, thanks! Hondo ... this beer is for you! ...

Jaelan Phillips Edge 6'5 265lbs #2 Edge player on many lists.
Pro's
He has a great swim move
Upper body posture is solid
Really good shedding people.
Long Limbed with good hands
Student of the game. Reads plays well. He does his homework and he has said he loves just watching film on people.
Amazing first step
Size is perfect for the NFL level with room for more growth
Never gives up on plays. He will chase players till out of reach.
He impressed against good teams
Con's
Needs to build more upper lower body strength. Not a ton but some.
Lower body technique is a struggle at times
While he did well against agile tackles, he had his struggles against heavier stronger tackle
He tends to loose the edge at times
His hitting the player is soft which is good with hitting QB's in todays NFL but will struggle against Power RB's
Temper..
He does not play mean like the typical DE
Who might take him before us?
Giants they are looking for D'Line help but I think at 11 they get Barmore
Jets Who knows what direction they go but this could be one of them. or they could trade this pick.
Highlights
Enjoy
Eddited
Con. 20 games played... its been a while
Injury.. Yes he had a major concussion but read what he says.. it scared him as much as it injured him. He has been working at his game for a long time now with NFL level retired trainers. Injury is not an issue or he would of never been cleared.
Again.. I did not post this to say we should get him.. I am just saying its possible and there are people in these forums that like him for the pick.
I respect everyone's opinions on scouts like this... so should you
I declare myself a neophyte to anything regarding the ¨U¨ Team, so first time ever I see him, but I see another specimen of Epanesa on him... just my 2 cents!

From a marketing perspective. Better to go the Diggs route of forcing himself to watch it, than the Davis route of cowering with the "I couldn't watch it" quote. Davis is a rookie, live and learn.
Seems like you are a pain self-inflicting poster, and keep coming at it! 🙃

Just found this one. The initial clips of Cowherd go on a bit long, but you can always click forward to about 2:23 (and it's a good reminder that these guys change opinion like the weather).
Not quite as quality as "Invincible" from last year in its production, but ya gotta love the content....
Got a favorite Bills 2020 highlights to share?
Best highlights I have seen...hands down!! second by second, this really portrays how much Josh grew this season, silencing or, even better... definitively turning SPORTS talking heads (which some time act like clowns) like Colin around; thanks very much for sharing!,

Matt Barkley is a UFA. He is 31 and finishing up a 2 year, 4 mill deal with 600k gtd.
I would offer a 1 year team friendly deal and let him battle it out for QB 2 with Fromm and Webb and anyone else they happen to bring in at QB. If he’s beaten out for QB2 I cut him before the season.
I think Beane’s comments about the Barkleys being a blessing and everything his wife does indicates we could expect an offer of some sort. But I’m sure he realizes an upgrade is needed. If Allen gets hurt, I’m not sure any available backup is adequately replacing him. But how about Brissett? He’s a FA. I’m not sure about Fitz. Worried about the curse.
Brissett sounds good to me...

It’s still a team game, and SO MUCH depends upon what surrounds them. Part of the reason Watson wants out of Houston, I’m sure. If, at the end of his career, Josh is viewed as the better QB that means he’s been surrounded by talent and has had abundant success. I’m good with that!
EDIT: I am NOT saying Josh isn’t better, just that a QB needs talent around him to reach his potential.
.
Has been discussed from other angles, but hell there is a clear connection of Allen´s growth, with Diggs arrival to 716 area code...

There is just that element in the Buffalo fan base (probably in all) that immediately has to find the most negative spin on everything and anything...it's as if joy and enjoyment are such limited qualities, we have to ration them...it gets tiresome.
I don´t understand the ¨ all¨ qualifier you used there, I think many Buffalo fans are positive people, there is no other way we could´ve stood the long losing streaks, just saying...

Najee Harris or Travis Etienne would look great in a Bills uniform...very likely one of them or both is available at 30.
I don´t see anything in Kenny Drake, close to a Kamara as the OP claims to see, I see it in both these guys, however coming from CLEMSON and Bama, and all the accolades players from those schools get, I would be surprised if they are still sitting at 30...

Yeah...I mean that might as well have been Trent Edwards stepping out of bounds on 4th and 9 late in the game in opponent territory needing a TD to win but not throwing it up to avoid the INT. Or Orton sliding on a 3rd down and short run against Denver instead of trying to pick up the first with the playoffs on the line, then claiming he wouldn't have gotten the first down and should have thrown the ball away. An article from the Denver Post about the play:
When the game was in doubt, though, Orton wasn’t up to it. The fact is, he needed to be great for the Bills to pull the upset. He was terrible. On a day when Peyton Manning was ordinary, with the game there to be taken, the Bills needed their quarterback to be their best player and emotional leader.
Which brings us to The Slide. Early in the second quarter, the Bills faced third-and-2 at the Denver 25. Orton was chased out of the pocket to his right. He had a decent chance to get the first down. Instead, he slid 2 yards short of the first, leaving the Bills in fourth-and-2.
“Yeah, a poor decision,” Orton said. “I should have thrown the ball away, and maybe we would have had a shot to go for it. I don’t think I was going to get the first down running the ball.”
Orton was told that it looked as if he could have made it. He said he’d have to look at the tape. But it was one of those timid moments that can crush a team’s spirit. People say no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills. Orton looked like a guy who would rather hide beneath the wagon.
Just not a good look from streaker boy...you gotta lay your body on the line in these situations! He crushed his teams spirits with that lack of intestinal fortitude!
Priceless phrase! I have not seen the article before, thanks for sharing!
