We've had the discussion before. Weed should be legal, it's infinitely better for players than popping prescription painkillers. That said, until the rules change, guys need to be smarter. The NFL spells it out for them when they can and can't smoke and some still fall foul of the rules. That takes some next-level type of stupidity.

DGB is a walking character concern and he's likely done this damage to himself. Immensely talented but raw talent can only get you so far and so many chances. Titans gave up on him too early and got next-to-nothing in return. Would've traded Fernando Velasco for DGB though, if given the chance.

Pretty sure that America struggles with the concept of elite. It's a serious problem when you've got PFT Commenter and his 'Is Joe Flacco elite?' schtick muddying the waters. I don't know that Revis is elite any longer. He most definitely has been and he's still likely very good.

Sanborn's salary is $1,057,500. To cut him, it's $277,500 cap penalty plus Ferguson's $450k salary. $330k saving keeping Reid.

Heard on the broadcast that one of the early snaps was a little right of Schmidt. Early in the game, I assume it was Sanborn. Being the sad bastard I am, I'll do an ST run through tomorrow. Without endzone angles, snap direction can be a little tricky to nail.

I had so much coffee in me that I couldn't even fall asleep for about half an hour. Re-watched that whole game again and Albright/Lucas in isolation. I know every snap. I get why anyone would pass on Albright. He's way lighter than most of my positional thresholds but I'm a sucker for a pretty blonde. I see a route for his development and I think he can be turned into a decent situational rusher in the next couple of years. He obviously needs to bulk up to around 240 as a bare minimum and get himself a place with Chuck Smith next offseason to build on his pass rush arsenal. He's all action and chaos, there's something endearing about that.

The way guys I liked are going down, I'm genuinely worried about Joe Thuney's wellbeing.

After re-watching the defense, Max Valles played a great game. Did a great job as an edge setter. Really starting to round out his game. Was raw as hell at Virginia a couple years ago.

Just gonna say it and get it out of the way. Jordan Gay was superb last night. The depth, the hangtime, so pretty.

I was focusing on the OL quite a bit. Cyrus played well, looks a lot more sound technically than he did last year. Ryan Groy looked solid at LG. Biggest OL standout for me was 4th string LT Marquis Lucas. He needs bumping up the depth chart, he's got practice squad written all over him but he acquitted himself well. Guys that were poor? Fernando Velasco looked awfully soft and slow, no way he makes the 53. Groy will be the swing IOL. Chris Martin is absolute garbage and needs cutting this morning. Outside of OL, Walter Powell did enough that I'll mark him into a WR/KR spot on the roster. Duke Williams did well. I love what Bryson Albright can grow into but he's not roster-ready yet. His hand technique is there, just needs to add some power to the mix. I'd have to watch back but initial thought was that Max Valles had a nice game on the edge. I feel a bit better about depth in a few spots now I've watched them play a little.
