Yea I think Bo was a better QB for him and he dealt with some injuries this year I think there are some guys that test faster than they are on a football field. For Tez he basically hit the same MPH running a go route during field drills as he did running his 40. And he is just really slippery so he avoids a lot of guys that can make it seem like he is faster than he is - he did have the fastest three cone. I think he is probably too small for the NFL which he is so low, but as far as a college career receiver he was top 10 easy.

Yea man, he is a really good WR. Him or Tez as like our WR6 would be a good back of roster player with a chance to develop. White has decent length for his size, if he can add enough weight he could hold up on the outside but his frame is pretty narrow

Excellent crossing routes and speed slot - :01 you will see him kill people on crossing routes at all depths, very good at getting lost in the traffic - :19 seriously send him on crossing routes at all depths - 3:23 takes the contact from Denzel Burke and runs through it, stacking and burning for a long touchdown. YAC and missed tackles forced - 3:40 decent leg drive through contact, and a long strider - 3:48 when up to speed can maintain that high speed while adding ankle breaking cuts - 4:42 crafty in the open field. He is not big but you have to catch him first - 6:39 if you get a hand in him he goes down, but catching him is not easy Weaknesses: If he succeeds at his size he and speed, he will be an outlier of outliers Though he will run through shoestring tackles and juke defenders, he chooses not to fight for extra yards Slot only player who got most of his yards catching crossing patterns and with a lot of open space ahead of him Conclusion: One of my other favorite players in this draft, and one I’m nervous to rank this low. Last year when watching Troy Franklin I had to look up when he was coming out because he popped on film. Ultimately, if he is to have success it will be as a Tyler Lockett type starting as a punt returner and being a speed slot who preserves his body when threatened with contact

My personal 2025 WR Rankings: #22 Ricky White WR UNLV (Rd 5-7) -Transferred from MSU to UNLV -Above 3.0 YPRR vs zone (one of the more predictive metrics for future success) -Solid special teamer at UNLV What does he do on film? Three level threat - 8:30 quick pass to Ricky to allow him to use his blocks and creativity for an easy gain - 2:36 gets the quick pass, breaks a couple of tackles and good body control to extend to the EZ - 3:42 intermediate inward breaking route on an RPO, able to create easy separation for the catch then shows that yac ability Basically the same play at 10:42. Super effective. - 6:12 savy use of natural pick to create space and then run to his mark at back of endzone - 8:51 easy crossing route he turns up field for a big gain - 6:50 able to maintain space along sideline and have good body control on the back shoulder throw - 7:40 he just roasted Utah State over and over Excellent Zone WR - :20 does a great job following the QB along his passing windows and finding space between the linebacker and secondary - 3:30 again finds his zone and then shuffled along with the QBs movement to give the best throwing window Beautiful job in the red zone finding space against the zone for an Weaknesses: - Does not have NFL size or speed, he would be an outlier if he had success - Ambiguity about why he was not played and then transferred from MSU, especially since he helped them beat Michigan - Best fit is in the slot but not overly twitchy or physical Conclusion: It hurts me to have Ricky this low, especially because his 2023 tape was even better with a more explosive offense. One of my favorite watches of the class. Though he played boundary in college often, his best place would be in the slot where physical corners would not get into his body as easily. Should hang in the end of roster as a solid special teamer and savvy backup WR.

A team that can scheme him touches may be able to use him in packages. Most likely path to a roster is at a punt returner and developmental WR.

I would be really happy with Hairston or Amos at 30. I’m not sure they would go first round if we don’t select them. Hairston is slender and missed half the year, Amos lacks top end speed despite how he timed in the 40. I don’t think the Bills will select Morrison due to his hip injury. Thomas I actually liked quite a bit more than I was expecting, though he had to grow on me. Seemed to get better as the games went along and got a feel for things and he totally beat WRs up by the end of games. Though you have seen more of him than me. Not sure if he fits the Bills defense great unless we do make a philosophy switch. My fear is we miss out on those guys though because the next tier of CBs is rough. If we don’t get one of those 4, I would just wait for Kone, Bryant or another day 3 prospect that makes it to our 4th round pick.

When I watch Farmer I see our old pal Jordan Phillips with his ability to knife into gaps. Some of the YouTube scouts think that some of his struggles in the run game and with inconsistency was with how he was coached at FSU. You certainly would be more familiar with that aspect of it, I know FSU was in tough shape this year.

Beane was at South Carolinas pro day. TJ Sanders, Kyle Kennard, Tonka Hemingway, Deandre Jules are all likely to be drafted from their DLine. Not to mention Demetrius Knight, Nick Emmanwori, and O’Donnell Fortune. (Dang writing those names out is like writing the transcript of that Key and Peele sketch). Yea I think the problem is Beane will overdraft for need. I think Hairston, Morrison (medical red flag), Amos and Thomas are early second rounders that may not make it to our pick.

My personal 2025 WR rankings: WR24 Andrew Armstrong WR Arkansas (Rd6 - UDFA) - Led the SEC in receiving yards this year (1140) - Is a hitch route merchant, catching 27 of these routes for 324 yards including 9 15+ yard explosive gains. -9.49 RAS, second in career yards per game behind Tet McMillan and a career Yprr of 2.57 What does he do on film? Very QB friendly -:17 large catch radius on errant throws -5:38 works his way back to QB on scramble drill Downfield ability -6:11 Does a nice job against the press to maintain good space between him and the sideline. Excellent ball tracking to come up with the over the shoulder catch. - 7:10 rinse and repeat - 11:42 ditto Toughness after the catch - 10:17 hit a lot of crossing routes throughout this season. When able to make the catch on the run has enough speed to get to the corner on underneath defenders - 10:30 a player who gains yac by running through defenders rather than away from them - 14:52 you see throughout the highlights Armstrong running slants against off coverage, giving his QB an easy target. Weaknesses: -Armstorng will be 25 in October, what you see is what you will get -Takes a long time to accelerate and does not have top end speed to run away from defenders -Lack of twitch means his best routes are the ones Arkansas ran him on - hitch, crossers, slants and 9s - where he can use his body to block off defenders and run through them after the catch Conclusion: Experienced WR with ability to make explosive plays but not home runs. Ball tracking skills are one of the things I look for as a baseline competency and he has it. Depth WR at best in NFL.

Some good talent evaluators are comparing him to Puka. Honestly I can see shades of it he just isn’t quite the athlete Puka is. Imagine he will go to a Shanahan protégé.

Yea I’m not sure if it’s TJ or Kennard or Jules that would be the person they were most interested in there. If they think TJ is one of the top DTs in the class - which I would agree with - I think you just take him and figure it out. Ed played 54% of snaps last year so their is playing time for TJ I think

Bech is getting comparisons to Puka and honestly you can see shades of it. Puka was a better athlete tho. Golden is another good route runner. And critically both of them play outside a vast majority of their snaps. Other outside receivers who have shown separation ability are Tory Horton and Jayden Higgins. I think my dog Tre Harris shows it too but doesn’t have many opportunities. Then you have guys that are (likely) better in the slot in the NFL like Egbuka, Restrepo, Bond, Felton, Tez and Noel.

DL: Oliver (first round pick), Groot (first round pick), Bosa ($12 mil), Daquon ($8 mil), Big O ($10 mil, suspended), Hecht ($7 mil, suspended) AJ (second round pick) WR: Keon (2nd), Palmer ($12 mil), Shakir ($15 mil), Samuel ($8 mil)…then a couple minimum guys. Even if you include TE: Dalton (1st) and Knox (3rd) Josh can do more with weapons then this coaching staff can do with DL investments.

It’s so frustrating the de-emphasis people are placing on at least investing into WR this year. The teams that did better than us last year: Chiefs - 1 first round pick and 2 second round picks on WRs in the last three years. This is in addition to having HoF Kelce on the roster those three years and the greatest play caller in my time watching football. Eagles - AJ Brown ($33 million/year), Devonta Smith ($25 million/year) Bills- 1 WR drafted in the first three rounds (Keon Coleman) since Diggs was acquired (2020, no longer with team). Shakir (15 mil/year), Palmer (12/year), Samuel (8/year). yes our defense needs to be better. Those teams had studs throughout their defense and we should draft DL and CB a lot this year. But the Eagles offensive weapons made life easy for Jalen Hurts to put up points on the Chiefs defense. We need to at least take a shot at one premiere pick going to WR to improve the group’s talent level. To me it’s not more talented than our DLine right now (2 first rounders, 3 other free agents making at least $8mil a year) and I’d really like to give Josh more weapons.

Yes we need much more speed, plus Hairston is already great in zone defense so the transition to the Bills should be smooth. Yea I like Frazier too as a developmental guy, good size and ball skills.
