You gotta remember, you don't pay for the sex. You pay for her to LEAVE. In this case, there's a premium for her supposed SILENCE. But since this guy PO'd so many powerful folks, this was destined to happen. And yes, I'd hit it.

Yes, it can. They had a metal singer (not famous) do it. It took him quite a while, but he managed to shatter a wine glass with just his voice. It's not like the Memorex commercial, where the lady hits a high note. The key is hitting the resonant frequency of the glass with enough amplitude (volume) to cause attenuation. If you pluck the glass, the tone you hear is the resonant frequency. The guy held the glass about an inch from his mouth and "sang" the tone he heard. After a couple dozen tries with a lot of different glasses, the glass shattered. I'm sure a young viewers decided to become engineers.

I must have missed that one. The best one I saw was the "can the human voice shatter a wine glass" episode. That was great.

Good one... except for that last part. Link

Okay, it's offical, I am useless for the rest of the day

My, that is shocking. At Gulfstream for the Florida Derby a couple of weeks ago, a newbie friend got on a "Let It Ride" streak. It was fun to watch. Of course, my betting more closely resembled Looney's. -
Yeah! They should get their Bearings Strait!

DOes anyone find ieatcrayonz funny anymore?
HopsGuy replied to taterhill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm trying to find what good, if any, can come of this. And I think I know what it is: Johnny Coli must resume his blog. That thing, I think can all agree, was f-u-n-n-y! Now - the rest of you play nice. -
I think it's because it reminds us that there are some people willing to take big risks for a high reward without cutting corners. These guys are bad a$$es.

Write this phrase on a slip of paper, and keep it in your wallet: "Je voudrais parler à un mandataire."

When I was a freshman in college, I mentioned to an ink-ed up friend that I might someday want a tatoo. His advice was to make sure I got it somewhere where I wouldn't see it much. His reasoning was that I'd get sick of seeing the same "art" day after day. This told me that tatoos were for other people to view, not for the person sporting the art. We all know that the in the military, you're trained to think of the unit first, and yourself last. Back in the day, tatoos were synonymous with military service. The forearm tatoo with the unit insignia was something a veteran wore proudly. These days, every 23 year old girl has the "tramp stamp" license plate. More and more recruits are showing up with ink, and well, it just doesn't look great at PT to see all these folks displaying their individuality. I don't necessarily agree with the new policy, but I understand it.

If you could choose the animal, person, body part
HopsGuy replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
He's the most famous of our alums (Drexel University), and we count the inventor of the bar code (Bernard Silver) amongst our ranks. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is America in a nutshell. -
Rub dirt on it and take a lap... Part 2

Just like Gregg Williams. Congrats, and welcome back to the rat race. I hope you'll have lots of time to spend on The Wall. -
Maybe this is all a clever ploy to indirectly monetize our loyalty to the Bills? I believe I said previously that I'd spend $10k to see the Bills in the Super Bowl next year, so I think you know where I stand. I'm not sure where my threshold would be to take the money. It's probably a lot lower than I'd like to think, though. Right now I'm envisioning the Sabres raising the Cup at Thurman's induction ceremony next August. Now that would be something.

My roommate in college used to tell this joke as though it had happened to him. Here's how he would finish it: "So now I'm furious. I leave my stuff there at the register and go running into the parking lot. I see the lady with her shopping cart and I start yelling at her. 'Hey! You're going back in there to pay for this!' And she started crying, 'No I'm not!' And I'm pulling on her cart, and I'm pulling and pulling, y'know? Kinda like I'm pulling your leg right now?" He'd really get into it with the pantomime and doing the lady's screeching voice. He was a master at those kinds of stories.

Gringo, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

I live in FL, so I've only seen one show at HSBC (Marine Midland at the time): Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, November 2000. Adam Raised a Cain. -
Joey Porter and the Dolphags, a match made in heaven...
HopsGuy replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I heard that Porter had punched a Bengal in Vegas, I was sure it was Siegfried & Roy's Montecourt. Hello? Is this thing on? -
Anyone ever stayed at Monte Carlo
HopsGuy replied to Richmond_Bills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
We had a group for March Madness 3 years ago, and some of the guys stayed there. We got rolled on the craps tables the first night, so we didn't really gamble much there. We used it as a central location for everyone to meet. I met a girl in the Houdini Lounge the last night of our stay, so I saw one of the rooms. I think it was nice. -
Top 10 drinks / shots that will make you puke:
HopsGuy replied to Tux of Borg's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There's a variation on the Prarie Fire called "Buffalo Sweat" It's Tabasco & Bourbon, typically Jim Beam. Looks like most of the shots on this list can be preceded with "I dare you to do a..." -
Good job, and good luck.

We're Bills fans. I'm sure we can deal with this.

A friend of a friend is a priest. He's only a couple years older than me, and I see him just about every time I go home. One night a few years back a group of us were closing down a bar. Around 2:15, the bartender yells, "Jesus Christ, will you people get out of here!?!" Father Joe (not his real name) says, "My boss is here? I better go!"

What? No love for the Drexel Dragons (RPI:41)??? Most road victories in the nation including Syracuse, Villanova, & Creighton (also Vermont, Temple & St. Joe's... no slouches in the bunch). The 1-5 conference record against VCU, ODU & Hofstra was their undoing. I think there is a misconception about the strength of the Colonial. At the top you have senior laden teams, unlike the BCS biggies with so many freshman auditioning for the NBA. George Mason drew up the blueprint for mid-majors last year. Seth Davis had a list of the last teams in (Illinois, Arkansas & Stanford) and said, "They should all have to play at Drexel next year." OK, I'm a little bitter.
