Was that the one where McGovern or Morse had the DT shoot in, the DT fell forward to the ground and Morse/McGovern basically watched him fall to the ground. Tony Romo said something like “ehhhh, not sure that was much of a hold”

Watched im a bar, a very quick replay and may have been.  Ot was a joke call regardless

  2. Has the phantom holding call been brought up?  It was offsetting penalties as Kincaid was held on thurd down and somehow the Bills were too called for a hold that did not happen.  Replay down, inc and a punt.  Bills were moving the ball thay pissession

It was a team loss.  A LOT of guys made flub ups that if only a couple hadn't we win the game.

But I have a serious question about the "miscommunication" play. I know a lot of fans are blaming Gabe.  I'm not a big Gabe fan, but how do we know he zigged when he should have zagged and not that Josh threw it to the wrong place?

Gabe sez it was miscommunication and they weren't on the same page.  Josh says he guessed which way Gabe was gonna cut and guessed wrong.

Gabe seemed to be going for the corner the whole way and Josh made a bad guess.

I guess they both screwed up.  Anyone have a better idea as to which one was truly at fault?

How about Gabe make the right read or track it properly for once?

  4. What a LAMP thread if ever there was one.  I'm scared to fire McD?????  Really????  He's turned their franchise player into a headcase (who somehow no longer evades pressure or can run anymore), hung his hat on his defense that allows mediocre QB's to torch them over & over (yesterday Wilson's average throw was <4 yards, but that was more then good enough vs. McD) and can't hold a lead or make that one stop.

And yesterday caps it off when it appears they "stole" a victory with 12 men on the field after they called a TO on third down, knowing Denver was going to kneel and then run out the kicker and they still couldn't figure it out (as someone said, did they have 12 on the field on third down?).

How many botched games is this for McD?

    But sure blame others.

Josh has to take a huge the blame for Jets. Yesterday was a mess from the offense all round. If they played to just an average level we would have won both.

The Pats... yeah, how they allowed them to get to 29 was a joke.

Regardless the Defense or where McD has made his mark has let the team down over and over.  Three games ended with the defense on the field.

McDermott not the one turning the ball over 3 times a game.

And it's not his fault that they had 12 men on the field to end the game?

Is he held accountable for anything?  Oh yeah, he was and is the only person to ever institute a "Culture"?

    Teflon Sean?

  7. Yep we all want to start threads based on what we think are important facts to discuss.  Ignore if they are not worth discussing.

    We'll get the point.

Nothing worse on TSW then your thread is merged & lost somewhere else that may have little to do with your thought (just saw one merged and looked interesting and now somewhere inside a 28 page thread, so no idea what the point was, just thought it maybe interesting😡).

Born and raised in Southern California. I've never been to Buffalo. I can't just go down to a local bar and chat it up with Bills fans. There are none in my neck of the desert. TSW is the only place I can go to talk about this team that I inexplicably became a fan of in early 1989 (ironically the day they lost the AFCCC against the Bengals). So here I am Bills brothers and sisters.

Ughhh. Remember that heartbreaker (dropped pass last minute).

Is there anyplace in SoCal to talk any football?

This is an active forum that is year round. It has better and more up to date info than the Bills website. It’s a great 1 stop shop for bills and teams associated/relevant with the bills. It’s my go to everyday to see if something drastic happened in the NFL, specifically the Bills.

I don't search out any other Bills sites.

I just need a place to vent because while I know Bills fans, few a maniacal, and will find them here.

You’re a refreshing change from the normal opponents Fans. Thank you. Good luck AFTER tomorrow night!

No idea why people got upset as hes just a Cincinnati fan who is giving his semi bias opinion as I do about the Bills.

They may have been a little bit biased. But what else would you expect?

I simply don’t buy the Dorsey criticism, and the primary reason for that is that ALL fan bases criticize their playcaller and the Bills have one of the top offenses in the league.  This is going to sound a bit strange because I love Josh Allen more than any other player I’ve ever watched, but I think it’s fair to say Allen creates more of the “problems” on offense than Dorsey does.  I put the word “problems” in quotes because often Allen makes an amazing play, but I think he goes off schedule and looks for “more” too much.  I also don’t think Dorsey and McD have told Josh not to run…he has made that decision himself because everyone else keeps hammering at it.

I am really hoping that the offense we saw against Tampa is what we’ll continue to see as the season wears on…if that happens we are going to be just fine.  There’s nothing wrong with how Dorsey is calling games.

How many easy throws do we see week after week from other teams, with receivers wide open.  Swear it is way more then Buffalo.

AJ Brown weekly makes highlight reel catches.  I can't think one from a Bills receiver this year.

When was the last time you saw a Bills receiver win a 50/50 ball or catch one with a defender draped all over him.

Oh and let's not forget Dorsey's inability to set up a decent screen or YAC.

  12. Thinking about Sunday vs. Cincy and the worry is will fans be complaining the next day about officials.

Every game after every important play or basically any play that is beyond 5 seconds in developing, be it a big gain or 3rd or 4th down stop, I find myself looking for a flag.

When there is a sack, is there a roughing the passer call coming or was there defensive holding.  An incompletion are they going to call PI or a targeting penalty.

If the protection is too good, is there an offensive holding penalty.

Any kick or punt return there must be holding too.

Yep I expect Sunday at least 2 times Buffalo will appear to make a play and there will be a holding penalty on Chase or similar and I'll be cursing the TV.

Can promise you too Mahomes and Kelce will get a few too to prolong drives and the replay will show they ticky-tack at best.

I find it more and more ruining my enjoyment of football.

And no more stupid, avoidable penalties on "defense gets off the field" plays.  Hopefully Linval Joseph can play and be in the game at those times.

Those are the worst.  The refs unfortunately can play a major role if they flag ticky-tack penalties.

I don't consider the Bengals to be some unbeatable juggernaut. But they are a good team, and I don't like how the Bills' zone defense matches up with their quick-pass offense. I think the game will come down to getting stops in the red zone (FGs vs TDs) where the field of play is compressed. But what the hell do I know, I just watch football from my couch on Sundays (not sarcasm).

And this is why I am hard on McD.  It will come down to some stops on D and McD making the right calls at the right time imo.

Yep I too am watching alone (or with my son) nothing complicated.

Hey, thanks for the concern.   I'm fine.   I seem to have turned a corner on my Bills fandom.   I've been intending to do a post about it, but it's a bit of a project, and I'm travelling to Cincinnati this weekend.

Since London, I missed the Bills the following week, I watched the last two games, and I watched no other pro football.  I'm reading nothing about the Bills.  I come here just to see if there's any news, like acquiring a corner back or a 1 Tech, but I seem to have lost interest in talking about the Bills.  I just watch the games, am pleased, not so pleased, or not pleased with what I see.  Then I just spend my week thinking about other things, until the next game.

My one substantive thought:  I think the NFL is all about building to a team that can win the playoffs.  The Bills are working on building that winner.  I have no idea whether they'll succeed, but the fact that they don't look dominant right now isn't something that I worry about.  I did worry about before, but not since London.  Either some players will step up, or they won't.    If the Bills win it all, there will be great praise for all the guys who stepped up.  If they get close and fail, well, someone didn't quite do what is incredibly difficult to do.   Josh, Von, Diggs, Bernard, Cook, the oline, Floyd, and unnamed people all could step up.  Taron Johnson had a career play in the playoffs before we understood how good he was.  Maybe Benford will be that guy this season.   I don't know.

Every pro football team is trying to do something that is incredibly difficult - to win the Super Bowl.  Every team works incredibly hard at it.  Maybe the Bills will succeed, maybe they won't.  I've stopped trying to figure it out.   I'm just watching to see what happens.

Glad to see all is okay.😁

  16. Caesar's a fan, what's the big deal?  Has some good points too.  At the end of the day it will be played out on the field.

What amazes me is that the Bills & Bengals have played 5.25 quarters in the last 4 years and the Bengals are coming off a very good game against a team that has now lost 3 in a row and the narrative has flipped.

Actually I'm feeling better now thinking back to the playoffs and remembering, that yep, I blamed McD and coaching and forgetting just how slick the field was, Isaiah's comments that puts the blame on the game plan, and yep emotionally maybe the Bills were drained.

Conversely I have minimal confidence in the Bills Defense, but just a stop or two and a FG, not a TD and I'll then roll the dice with Josh.

Bengals defense has given up yards most of the year, we usually do.  Anarumo always says points matter way more than yards.

Purdy's stats are a little skewed.  He had 156 yards on 3 drives:
Last 30 seconds of 1st half vs prevent: no points.
Last 2 drives of the game vs prevent: no points.

That's because SF doesn't want to expose him.  He did move the ball regardless and a few bad breaks or could have been more points.

Are you going to say the same about Geno Smith (threw for 330 yards too)?  Twice in the last 5 minutes they were inside the 10 and could have won the game, but came up empty handed.

You can point out that Cincy's D tightened and I can say they were not playing Josh Allen.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with the ups and downs of a Bills game or season. You could use your own off switch to ignore those who are voicing their displeasure, right? That way you're not trying to tell others how they should feel or react to a game.

    He's very good at that.😜
