I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you probably have no idea how hard Whaley has tried to find a franchise QB. The fact that we don't have one yet doesn't mean hes not trying hard enough. The real problem is that even though we haven't made the playoffs in 15 years...we have never sucked bad enough to draft the "Jack Eichel" of football. Last time I checked there are less franchise QBs on the planet than there are NFL teams.

When I say "they" I'm referring to the Bills organization. I think the media and some posters here may be overreacting a bit. The Bills organization is probably not as worried as some fans/media are. The bottom line is that it doesn't hurt to have EJ on the sideline as a backup if that's the case. Like I said earlier...I for one will be livid if TT starts and gets hurt and all of a sudden Cassel/Simms is next in line. For all we know Rex and G Ro are learning a lot about EJ this week and they may be thinking to themselves..."We can coach this kid"

Wouldn't be surprised if per Kiper's Hair they are interested to see what EJ could get on the trade market. But also be open to the option of being patient with EJ.

Call me crazy but even if EJ has a shaky training camp I'd still rather see him start the season given the few options we have. He has the biggest upside once he finds his groove. I hope we don't trade him. It would be very disappointing to watch someone else get hurt and all of a sudden we don't even have EJ as a backup.

Exactly, half the teams in the league are just throwing college QBs against the wall to see what sticks.

Agree. Hate watching receivers slow down to find balls. These receivers are fast and EJ knows that. I'd guess coach said he doesn't want to see underthrown balls and EJ took it seriously lol Edit: There were a few yesterday that I saw from Matthew. I've heard a lot of people talk about Gilmore being a shutdown corner...not saying he's bad but I feel like his tires are being pumped a little too much. He had a good season last year but I don't think he's anywhere near Revis/Sherman YET. Can I get some discussion on this?
