Week 10, 11/09/25 Around the NFL (no Bills talk please)
Sojourner replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall
For real. Blown a few games this year. -
So is McDaniels getting another season? Just riding this one out? Or is the rest of the year an audition for him to make it another year? Hopefully it’s competitive to keep him around for at least one more lol

11/9/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Dolphins Gameday Thread
Sojourner replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Billspeed! Stay safe out there! -
The first handful of picks, at least to me, are always first round guys given it’s either that bad a team picking or a team trading up/down to catch a guy that “somehow fell/falls out of the first round”. So yeah, technically by round standards he wasn’t a first rounder. But I’m with you, he was a first rounder.

Are the Bills bringing back some old school tactics?
Sojourner replied to blacklabel's topic in The Stadium Wall
The fact Rex, an anointed and self proclaimed defensive mastermind, took a back to back top 5 defensive and did what he did was telling in itself. Going by that graph it pains to see the wasted talent from Gregg Williams’ last and Mike Mularkey’s first years as head coaches… truly an elite and special defense. Especially how badly the offense was over those 2 seasons. -
Would you rather playoff seeding scenario?

Guaranteed home playoff game/s for the last year at the Ralph/Rich. -

Definitely, hence why he’s the man. The other side to argue is Cook and his production opens up the play action full force. -
James Cook, and the Underrated Value of Running Backs
Sojourner replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall
Currently there’s 8 dudes making $10m+ a year. I think he has a chance at getting that if he continues. If Rhamondre Stevenson and Montgomery are on $9m, he has to get that, surely? -
James Cook, and the Underrated Value of Running Backs
Sojourner replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall
For sure. You talk about home run acquisitions and he fits the bill. Putting up monster additions to a team for dirt cheap. Still amazed the Cowboys didn’t try and retain him. -
Eh. Puka is an anomaly. He didn’t go to the combine, his pro day wasn’t great, played at BYU and was just decent, talent level they played wasn’t great as he was there before the Big-12 move for BYU. On top of that he had a serious injury history. Missed a lot of games over his 4 years of collegiate ball. The vacuum he fell into for the pro level was top notch. A team not far removed from winning the Super Bowl. A stud QB and WR in Stafford/Kupp with quality offensive coaches to boot; McVay, Zac Robinson and Yarber (who Kupp has credited to his success)
-
You summed it up at the end. The drop off is so significant that we need him to have that work. You’ve paid him and he’s producing. Ride it as much and as long as you can. He’ll get his rest or reduction in usage towards seasons end when/if we are guaranteed a playoff spot.

Josh Allen Returns to MVP Form-- Jim Kubiak BN

Josh is still THE man on this team but so far, from an offensive standpoint, Cook is the guy in MVP form for this team. -
The slogan is “Just Do It” Youd have shoes for your elbows or knees no doubt. ✔️

Would be interesting to see who the targets were in their entirety. Is it just doing something to appease fans by “going after a guy”? If they were going after anyone you’d like to think it would be a difference maker; Olave, AJ Brown, Waddle or Garrett Wilson. If those were the preferred choices, the return was always going to be significant to their respective teams. Obiously they were either not available or the offers weren’t up to par. Im on both sides of the fence on this one. It would have been nice to acquire any of those players who are elite or on that potential but keeping the draft capital for future also makes sense given the salary cap implications those guys would entail. Hopefully Theyre willing to move out of the late 20’s to 32 given that’s the projection of pick placement and up into the region where Lemon/Tyson/Boston are being projected- 12-18 range. Would love Carnell Tate if he declares but I’d bet he’s a top 10 pick with the way this college season is going.
-
Value worked out, won’t deny that. I think Addison was gone by that point? I believe the next WR after Kincaid was Jonathon Minho? Yup, that was how it panned out. Not knocking the pick for one second. He’s a solid player, was just weird to give a massive extension to a TE, draft a replacement that essentially turned a high salary guy into a role player.
-
Love Kincaid and he’s the better player than Knox but that pick was a bit of a headscratcher seeing as they tied Knox into an extension right before. But going back to that 2023 there isn’t a great deal of WRs who are decent after that. Rashee Rice and an up and down Jayden Reed is about it.

Well coached annd not to be taken lightly indeed. The adjustments in that Browns game were top notch. Obliterated one of the best defenses in the league.

Serious question how good are 7-2 AFC teams (and LAC at 6-3)
Sojourner replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Valid point but the Colts are with decent pass catchers. Pittman and Warren are a problem. -
Bet you he claimed the players on his Fantasy Football waiver wire though!
