  1. I dont know... Carr's poise really impressed me. Its something EJ lacked. Also Carr came from round2, whereas EJ was a top 20 pick. He was definitely overdrafted, leading to some of his "bust" perception. great post by the way.
  2. IMO, the spurs ought to be on that list prominently. Has any one seen the new "concept" helmets for the nfl? (The Bills one is red...) http://imgur.com/a/QaZHX#RKtRwEQ
  3. IMO, the OP is right to say the Watt pick6 changed the trajectory of EJ's career, but it seems that the trajectory was already negative or flatlining, and this play only made it worse...
  4. unfortunately marino is in said discussion... then again marino had better stats for the most part
  5. touche. I personally think GOAT sounds too much like goat. But in this case, I was on a mobile device, so the abbreviation made my life a lot easier. thanks for the reference point.
  6. AP was a similar success story. I concur.
  7. Very true. Just like Thurman being injured and falling to the second round was fate, I believe the Jets will regret their loss
  8. Bruce Smith is the GOAT. Best 3-4 DE, just a bit better than Watt, IMO
  9. Fine, I give up. Celebrate your victory. Youve managed to destroy a thread by arguing with me over a one line comment where I was asking for deeper meaning in the op's first post. He was the only one kind enough to provide it. So long, thanks for all the fish Thanks for getting the thread back on track for us. Sorry for screwing it up. I didnt mean to It's clear that Rex will do much better with our defense. But is EJ such a significant improvement over Geno? (Probably). Our O-line certainly isnt an improvement over the Jets's, though
  10. thanks. Honestly, I want to stop posting in this thread, but y'all keep calling me out on everything i say, so im forced to defend my logic, etc
  11. If your talking about me, I usually rush to the defense of "belittled" threads, and I was hardly trying to belittle this one. forget what I said earlier. Yoloin explained it to me perfectly. I was just asking for analysis that was deeper than "It's not Rex's fault because some washed up running back said so" Always looking for that deeper meaning, man. Luckily for me, the OP provided it.
  12. So true. Same situation (minus the tanking part) with the Marrone-Whaley situation? I this case, Marrone plays the part of Izdik, allowing whaley to use picks, but not allowing his game plan to use them Does that mean Kiko cant convert from ILB to OLB to QB for us?
  13. Thanks for filling me in there. That is an awfully confusing crusade.
  14. relax a bit, ok... I think Rex was a great hire. This just adds to it, but kinda useless info because it was so obvious. yeah, if CJ 2k had said, "Rex sucks as a coach, have fun, suckers" then this would be more relevant. But since he only confirmed what our front office already claimed, and was obvious, I was trying to figure out if there was even deeper meaning to this. Like Johnson wanting to suck up to Rex, or it would be a useless statement from the Bill's perspective. This makes more sense than what the others ^^^ were saying. Thanks for the analysis.
  15. My plan for the next 2 years (Fantasy/Perfect World): 2015: Draft a RB Sign Iupati Sign Jordan Cameron Re-sign Searcy, Hogan, Wynn, Easly, Thigpen (that's it.) Cut all useless players, like Pears Extend Dareus (so far, so good, huh?) Get Peyton Manning on a 1-2 year Mega Deal Playoffs, Baby!!!! 2016: Get Foles out of FA Extend other players that are FA and valuable Enjoy the next few years of dominance, as we crush a Brady-less AFC East year after year...
  16. No i get that it means the fact the Jets sucked last year wasnt on Rex. But given the fact that Rex is our coach now, whether we like it or not, this isnt valuable info. I dont really care about the 2014 Jets. In hiring him, Pegula must have sensed the 4-12 record didnt reflect his talents. So the true question is: "What does this mean for the 2015 Bills?" Absolutely nothing...
  17. Yeah because FJax is immortal and will live forever. In fact, we should never get another running back ever again because Fredex will be playing until he's at least 99 years old. GIVE ME A BREAK!
  18. ok. I was making a point there. But seriously, you must be crazy if you think a bad Manning is better than the average EJ...
  19. Hmm... not sure what he means there, or why it's really relevant considering neither of the 2 are under contract with the Jets any longer.
  20. I liked Yeldon initially, but he has an awesome O'line and poor vision. Every team should take him regardless, he's a game changer when healthy.. Most teams, however, wont take an injured player. Plus this year is deep in the RB position, so it might happen that he falls into the second round, but unlikely he'll fall to #50
  21. Dang, you beat me to it... This kinda sucks for the Bills. It shows the Eagles want some serious goods for Foles. I'm thinking theyre holding out for a top ten pick...
  22. Just what we need, another RB that is always injured.... High ceiling nonetheless, and he would be a steal at #50.
  23. I know that you and I like Tevin Coleman the most. Unfortunately, I read a report this morning comparing him to CJ Spiller. The difference here is that Abdullah lacks pure explosive speed, whereas Coleman lacks power despite his size. Maybe a possible train of thought might be to get Coleman to bulk up and become more of a hybrid power/outside the tackles back, making him cover more downs.
