    Kept Gramp's attention!

    But barely! 😆

I was holding my breath at the end... Thought Gramps was gonna pull a "Tyler Bass" at the end and pooch that rotary thing!

I must admit, I didn’t make it to the end.

It was the first movie I had ever watched in a theater, and I was scared for life.

Oh my GOODNESS! We saw that on a school field trip. You jogged quite a memory.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I'm a new fan of the Bills and am eager to learn their history

It will be like meeting that crazy uncle while you’re engaged. You can still get out if it’s too much to handle.

I think I'd have a better chance of hitting the Powerball or Mega Millions than betting on DPOY for Miller.

Epenesa would be a better bet as well.

I agree with that, but I think some of the talk was about being comeback player if he got double digit sacks. That is much more likely, though I still wouldn’t bet the farm on it without crazy odds.

In his final home game for the Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus (who had also been playing for the German national team) bought beer for everyone of drinking age in the stadium (total attendance 81,000). By the way, Reus is considering a move to US Major League Soccer.

I hope he comes to Atlanta! 🍺

The energy at those games is absolutely amazing!

EDIT: I was also hoping for a free beer.

Please do not get upset - you got this all wrong. I was in no way insinuating that you were incorrect. I was actually more concerned about the accuracy of the web site.

I’m good, I just don’t click on all the links put up here. I’m pretty darn confident in what he told me, but it’s now just a fine memory while he’s expecting his second child.

    According to

    https://driversed.com/driving-information/driving-techniques/making-right-and-left-turns/

it depends on the state if you can change lanes on a left turn. According to the web site, FL does not allow it.

Get your tenses right. Do you have the link for the month my son was taking the class? He’s in his 30’s now. If it had been my other son, I might question it. I made a point of saying I was referring to the past. But sure, you feel free to try to make a point.

True but since it’s legal in NYS, no one is going to “catch” you with a joint outside of work

You get in a car accident while reeking, even if it’s not your fault. There is some kind of mess up at work, even if it’s not you, but they can’t be sure.

I’m not saying it will happen a lot, but the things we didn’t see coming are usually what bite us on the ass.

My brother works for a fire department, and since it's still a federal crime, they can not hire anyone that uses or fails a drug test for weed.

With most jobs you are not going to get tested again without cause, but you never know for 100% sure. What might happen?

they probably would fire you if you were caught drinking on the job as well….

From my experience there is about a 50% chance.    :)

But seriously, you can test positive for weed for weeks. That doesn’t make you high on the job.

Agreed, but there's plenty of technical and trades employers who demand a 'whiz in the bottle' test prior to employment, and will disqualify an applicant for any trace of marijuana usage.  Many ads cite a window of usage of up to four weeks prior to the test as resulting in a 'fail'.

It’s not just the trades. Try to get a job at a bank or a lot of other white collar places and drug screening is just a normal part of the onboarding process. My wife’s group actually lost someone not too long ago because they messed up and failed it.  OOPS!

He seems to be subtly making light of the officer noting his uniform pants were ripped.  “I’ve never in all my years……”.

    Either:

    1. The officer was truly dragged to the ground and his pants ripped,  in which case the damage to pants might not be a big deal but knocking an officer to the ground certainly seems to be.  Nothing to make fun of there.  Or

    2. The officer was not really dragged to the ground so the pants weren’t really ripped at all.  Why not focus on the truth of the report as a whole and leave the pants out of it?

To me he seems to deny the main portion of the police report but also acknowledge……in a mocking way……the pants being damaged.  That seems dumb.

I was talking about the statement from the attorney you quoted. That sounded fair and rational to me.

I don’t know who the guy is who put out the tweet with the police report. That had a bit of a jab in it.

  11. I think this is from Scottie’s  attorney.

“In the early hours of the morning in advance of his tee time Scottie was going to the course to begin his pre round preparation. Due to the combination of event traffic and a traffic fatality in the area it was a very chaotic situation He was proceeding as directed by another traffic officer and driving a marked player’s vehicle with credentials visible. In the confusion,Scottie is alleged to have disregarded a different officer’s traffic signals resulting in these charges. Multiple eyewitnesses have confirmed that he did not do anything wrong but was simply proceeding as directed. He stopped immediately upon being directed to and never at any point assaulted any officer with his vehicle. We will litigate this matter as needed and he will be completely exonerated. “

I heard one of the owners of Valhalla called the Mayor and then the police department and ended up personally driving Scottie back to the course.

This has got to be some kind of bit, right?

Officer Bryan Gillis is having a day to remember!!!  😂

  12. Rory got a police escort when he was running late for a tee time. Probably not by the same guy, I’m guessing.

I lived for more than a decade on a PGA tournament course. The entire community gets into preparing for and enjoying the week. Every accommodation is made for the players, especially if it means not missing a tee time and getting DQ’ed.  This sounds like it’s exactly the opposite of what might typically be expected, but somebody died and the police had a job to do. No idea if this was a redneck cop on a power trip, or if he was doing his job and Scottie effed up by being an entitled jerk. I won’t slam anyone with the info available now and just assume it’s what he said, an unfortunate misunderstanding.

  13. Scheffler just released a statement which, predictably, said all the right things. He said there was a misunderstanding as to what was expected of him.  It concluded with thoughts to the family of the man who passed away after being struck by a shuttle bus. The mug shot and distraction will get all the attention, but somebody died here.

Without seeing exactly what happened it’s hard to have a strong opinion, but it does sound like a simple case of miscommunication.
