Two TE sets are becoming popular again in the NFL.

….and I think we have a pretty dynamic duo. We have a great TE room, and people sometimes hate that more than love that. It’s not TE 1 and TE2 the way I see it. It’s two different flavors and there are times for each.

People that drive excessively fast in heavy traffic. I get going fast, but you're barely arriving earlier than other people when it's that slow. Just chill the "F" out.

Put a little more effort into making sure you DO arrive.

Since moving to the lovely traffic of Atlanta I’ve shifted my tune a bit. If anybody needs in, I’ll give you every opportunity to change lanes. We are all in this same sh!t together!

I too find it reassuring to know that I can make back-alley deals to visit an old neighborhood when absolutely zero of my former neighbors would buzz me in.  )

It’s been 30 years, so I’m sure none of the same people are around. It was reassuring to know that we were unlikely to draw attention to ourselves from our old neighbors, and therefore hopefully not draw any kind of rifle fire.

Hot, but at least at night

But that humidity will still leave players susceptible to cramps that time of year. It’s brutal, but somehow I loved it while playing tennis.

I didn't know Casa di Pizza was underrated.  Is it still good after they moved off Elmwood?

They have/had one outside of Sarasota, FL and I loved it!  It was a special treat for me and especially the family when they were in town.

  6. Absolutely. We just got back from a trip to Hilton Head. That’s where I met my wife and my kids were born. I went to the place we had our first date. We called a friend who called a friend to call in a gate pass so we could drive past one of our old houses. We went by the other places we lived too. We also went to all our favorite restaurants.

That happens to me any time I go back to WNY, too. I love going back to see our old houses, and I lived in 9 (really 8 but one of them twice). Yeah, we moved a lot with parents in real estate.

But I think all that is pretty natural.

I may be too nostalgic, as I have a tendency to prefer the old over the new. I need to be more aware of that in myself and try to be more open to new things.

They should have just asked Bills fans before they hired this loser.

I would have said “please do, give him a long term contract and all the control he asks for.”  I try to be helpful where possible……as a Bills fan.

I can see us running two TEs on 30-40% of our snaps. Especially in the end zone where Knox knows how to find openings very well. I'm expecting him to get 30-35 catches this season with 400-475 yards and 5-7 TDs which a pretty good season for a backup TE.

I don’t think of him as a “back up”. I think of him as a different flavor.

I like your thinking and I'm starting to come around to the idea that Coleman might eventually turn into a stud.  I don't think it will be right away, but I like his ceiling.  He's fluid and you can just see he's a naturally gifted athlete.

That is the best word I could find to describe Kincaid as well. I like an athlete out there with body control who can box out, track the ball and twist and turn to catch it. Yes, I crave some more speed to scare the defense, but two years in a row they have gone with fluid pass catchers with solid hands with their first pick. That ain’t nothin’.

I have no need for an Al Davis track star who can’t play the sport, but one more legit guy who scares the D deep would be awesome.

I think he's more than that. Can also catch and block i heard somewhere :)

He may be small, but he’s slow!   😋

I like him from what little I’ve seen. He’s not going to run away from anyone in the NFL like those long college runs, but I think he can be effective. I can’t wait to see!!!

I can see Davis becoming the 2nd back up , and change of pace guy.

Between the tackles a bit more perhaps than we would like Cook to run ?
Ty will be the 3rd up. I like TY plenty , btw.

But I am leaning in that Davis is going  to become very good and  quickly. Different back than Cook. So complimentary I guess :)

    Go Bills

I saw one set of highlights I really liked of Davis. They showed the long runs, of course. But what I really liked was they showed him to be effective in the passing game, including a bunch of plays where he was very active and willing in protection. There was a lot to love about Thurman back in the day, but him picking up a blitz was a thing of pure beauty.

I was checking out some old NBA on NBC videos online that I came across and was reading through comments where people were declaring back when the NBA was bigger than the NFL.  Sounds crazy but made me stop and think for a minute about that.  The NBA was huge back then during the MJ heyday, the Dream Team, Space Jam, some great rivalries.  I loved the NBA at the time and definitely remember it being huge but hard for me say it was bigger than the NFL.  I also get the comments I was reading could have been coming from biased NBA fans reminiscing on the glory years of basketball but it was amazing to me how many people were liking and agreeing with those comments.  Just curious what your perceptions of that statement to be?  I feel like the NBA was huge but still not bigger than the NFL

I think you’re reading what some NBA fans had to say. Yes, the NBA was more popular then than now, IMO, but there was still a large gap in popularity with the NFL on top. I’d be curious to see how the TV ratings compare, but among my crowd it was NFL all the way.

BTW - I loved the NBA when the Braves were in town, enjoyed it in the 90’s, and I don’t even watch the Finals now. We took the kids to too many regular season games and had children say “they’re not even trying!” When they start talking NBA on TV or radio, I change the station.

EDIT: I’d be very curious to see how NFL ratings compare to college football over the years. That is the NFL’s real competition for attention. Growing up I just used to hear scores like LeHigh vs Slippery Rock, plus an occasional Notre Dame game. I’ve lived in the South for decades now, and in Atlanta the Falcons are an after-thought. It seems everybody has a college football team they follow closely, and once in a while I’ll see somebody wearing Falcons gear.   How much has the gap changed vs how much has my location exaggerated things in my mind?   🤷‍♂️

Come on now, McD openly stated in a press conference that he has zero answers as to solutions for our offense midseason last year.

Come on now, that is very different from McD “doesn’t know about offense.”  That’s quite a stretch, but I’m not at all surprised. And I’d still like to see the exact quote in context.

Yeah except the fact that your going to be a mile away from the field.

I don’t buy any of that crap about being closer to the action. It’s BS imo. The stadium is going to be significantly taller than the current stadium. Those rows up there are going to be steep.

Steep steps has probably been my biggest concern from the beginning. I’ve been to some places that were crazy steep up top, and it can be a real bother. I can’t freak out about until I know how much of a factor it is. No point in me making up worries that may not exist.

I'd have qualms if Davis supplants Cook and ends up playing like Moss did here.  LOL

What the team says can't be trusted or relied on.

What every fan should have qualms over is the blatant lack of a year over year MO on offense.

As to McDefense, he's already admitted that he doesn't know about offense.  No help there.  As to Brady, all we can do is wait and see what Brady does as we're merely helpless observers, and hope that he has enough room to change things as he sees fit.  But his body of work is detailed in that post, it's obvious that he's taking direction from McD, and due to both the lack of a year over year perceptible plan offensively, from both a draft as well as tactical approach, coupled with the type of skill-position talent we now have on offense, it seems pretty clear that whatever comes out of that door come September, it's not going to be what we've had up to now, much less playing to Allen's strengths.  Right?

Here's another quasi conundrum.  On one hand the false narrative is that our offense improved under Brady for to the changes that he made.  But once the evidence is presented that demonstrates that false conclusion, then the same arguers will say that Brady really didn't make any significant changes as he has to work with Dorsey's offense generally speaking.  LOL.

As to the bold, do you have a quote or a link or something?

This is great research and another reason McD needs to be replaced by an offensive mind that will stay with Allen throughout his career like Reid and Mahomes. McD doesn’t bring any value and in most cases restricts Allen from his overall dominance. He’s the coach you bring in for a shift in culture, not to start a dynasty. I’m sure my take will get its share of dislikes and disagrees as per usual but it’s the truth

It’s nice to know for sure who decides the truth. It must be a heavy burden.

I think VPG is going to win the starting C job personally.

That certainly would not shock me.

I know some people have reservations about Keon being able to separate adequately, but I think he will concentrate and work hard on route running. I like his potential, and I love the value in the rest of the draft. I’m usually optimistic, but I really am eager to see some of these later guys and how they perform.
