When the Broncos cut Perine I couldn't believe the Chiefs of all teams signed him. Valuable back on a good team. -

Congratulations again. I will add the phrase "CBS radio Trump's violent rally" so that you can amplify the power of your pet project. We may be up to 5 TBD search results now! -
Something very cynical about this. I think a review of history will reflect that the Venn diagrams for "ambitious" and "leader of men" intersect. And it is in that intersecting part that we should be looking for our cabinet heads. I did that because it is ancient history. But go ahead, throw it in there. He was in his 40s, so no, not excusable. The difference is he was elected (like Trump) despite the electorate's full awareness of his moral failings. Here we are talking about appointing someone from a vast universe of possible appointees.

By the way, when you google "CBS radio Trump's violent rally" you get exactly two results. Both are for Two Bills Drive content posted by some character calling himself "Biden is Mentally Fit." Congrats. You are creating your own personal echosphere! -

Thank you! I am smugly proud of belonging to this group. Not that there's anything wrong with belonging to the stupid, ugly, poorly educated group that constantly deals with self shame. -

Got that, all you alt media is more fair types? "Unarmed protester." Funny, because the mainstream media probably would have found room to note something like, "who shot Babbit as she was trying to crash through a locked door leading to the Speaker's chambers." -

It's a state prosecution. No presidential pardon power. Another ill-informed comment. What did you expect? -
So apparently we elected Ron Paul after all. It's the Triumph of the Loony Libertarians!

What the Hell is Happening in Syria?
The Frankish Reich replied to Coffeesforclosers's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don't know what to think about this. Bad news: an Islamic rebel force threatens to take over a country. Good news: Iran's control over Syria is slipping, fast. Probably good news: Russia is preoccupied with Ukraine and can't do as much damage as it would like to do in other parts of the world. Probably Bad news: stability under a dictator beholden to Iran may be preferable to chaos in the region. -
"I have never had a drinking problem or have never abused women, but just in case I did I assure you I am now a changed man." So what's the age cut-off for "youthful indiscretion?" Gaetz and Hegseth in their mid-30s? RFK Jr. in his 50s? Trump in his 60s? I agree with you about drinking and military culture, but if you're an officer with career ambitions, you learn how to control yourself.

United Health Care Exec Assassinated in NYC

He will be caught. They have a pretty good face shot of him. I would imagine that right now a combination of facial recognition software and tips from people who say they recognize him has given investigators a few good leads. -

Maybe a cautionary tale for all the other Republican 2028 hopefuls? Obama's Cult of Personality was not transferable to Hillary or Kamala. Or Biden, but that COVID year is looking like an outlier. Is Trump's Cult of Personality transferable to anyone else in the Republican Party? Republicans themselves seemed to say no when good candidates like DeSantis and Haley (and for hardline Evangelicals, Pence) failed to gain traction. We'll find out for sure in 2028. -
Good comment. The Bills are undoubtedly one of the best regular season teams. As you suggest, maybe that's because we're one of the most prepared (and typically, deepest) rosters. I'm not sure that our starting 22, all other things (injuries, etc) has ever been clearly the best starting 22 in the NFL. Other than those early Jacksonville/Houston losses, it's hard to argue that we lost to a weaker team.

Yeah, first thing that came to mind when I saw a major health care CEO was assassinated: damn Obama does it again! -
Folks, admit it ... we have a great coach and an even better GM and an even better than that QB. I count 12 current Bills players who were on McD's first division champs in 2020: Allen, Milano, Knox, Dawkins, Oliver, Epenesa, Taron Johnson, Quinton Jefferson (left and came back), Cam Lewis, Reggie Gilliam, Reid Ferguson, Tyler Bass. And I guess Micah Hyde now. So 3/4 of the roster turns over in four years and the team doesn't miss a beat. That's what that great GM-HC-QB team will do for you. Six years ago what Bills fan could've dreamed of that?

Pete now: "I'm a changed man." Isn't that a concession that the general theme of him as an out-of-control hard drinking womanizing wild man (as recently as the late 2010s) is true? If not, what did he "change" from? They're in the scrambling to save his nomination phase. But others (Joni Ernst) want the job themselves and aren't about to go out on a limb for him. I give him a few more days as nominee.

I don't think a pro leaves his face exposed for a camera to pick up.
