Josh Johnson in at QB for the Niners. He clearly won the Broncos backup QB job this preseason but they went with Rypien. If he'd been in there for Russell Wilson today at least they would've had a chance. He's .... Adequate!

I think the problem is this: Wilson finally tried (because grudge game for the Broncos; the Chiefs are to them what the Pats were to us) to carry the team on his back and did things like actually put his head down to try to get a key first down running the ball. And the result? Exactly what he and Hackett seemed to be afraid of: a significant injury. So they can score 13 points and lose with the 2022 Russell Wilson, or score 24 points with the old Russell Wilson and watch him get knocked out of the game. Not a good place for the Broncos to be.

Meanwhile: Brock Purdy = Gardner Minshew on a good team. Could this actually work? Chiefs-Broncos is a better game, but I'm hoping to see plenty of highlights of Tom sulking.
