If you think Mahomes and EJ are similar level prospects then that is fair. I do not. Mahomes has a chance to be absolutely special.

That's the main issue I have. Of course the coach is going to want the best veteran QB he can get. But that's short-term thinking with a non-playoff roster. We need to have a real GM who can execute a real strategy that doesn't just look at today but the next few years as well. This is especially true when the team won't make the playoffs. We need to do everything we can to become competitive in the near future and the Tyrod deal hurts us big time next year. Yes, that was what Levy-Jauron thought as well. Frankly, I am tired of this way of running a football team.

That's the problem with non-visionary leadership. McDermott wanted a veteran QB and used his influence to get one with little thought about the cap implications. It looks like panic to non-Bills fans I have spoken to. Anyway, enough on McDermott. Back to Mahomes... The Bills fans saying it's a terrible class often belong to CoT. Funny that.

That's fine if you believe that Tyrod is way better than Foles. He is not. The point is that it appears we have a head coach who is operating out of fear more than anything. No reason to panic and give away the store for Tyrod level QB play.

Foles became a free agent and it was understood that would happen. I would much rather have Foles at 6 million then Tyrod at 10 this year then 18 million next year.

Who said we had to have just Cardale? Foles, Chase Daniel, Siemian all could have been looked into. You offer them the chance to start and we have no dead cap and the same or better QB play. The Tyrod extension reminds me of Marrone/Orton. We need a real GM. That is obvious and the Pegula's management style doesn't work. No accountability and the fans have to guess who is making the picks.

Some said Anthony Lynn was just a running backs, pound the ball coach. He probably got passed over here because he was on Rex's staff. But if the Chargers who already have Rivers invest in a 1st round QB while our new "aggressive" coach is focused on defensive scheme fits for his zone defense, it will again show the Pegulas to be clueless in hiring. Pegula's are 0-6 in hires so far with McDermott too soon to call. But the Tyrod Taylor extension is a huge red flag and passing on a top QB prospect will be another for me.

Yes, I am sure that the QB gurus of the NFL such as Sean Payton and Bruce Arians are looking for a QB with "poor ball placement, poor pocket presence, poor footwork, poor anticipation, poor decision making". The only thing poor is Fahey's ability to evaluate a QB. There are people that don't like Mahomes as much as Trubisky or Watson and that is fine. But Fahey's evaluation is so one-sided and negative that it appears he is just looking for suckers to go to his blog.

Please actually watch video of every snap Mahomes takes for a game. Fahey is just trying to get clicks to his terrible blog. He reminds me of the fools who compared Dak to Tebow last year as a passer. I like Mahomes because his accuracy is excellent both with a clean pocket and under duress. He also throws receivers open and throws with anticipation.

The CoT strikes again. Everyone but TT who can't throw a slant pattern on time is terrible.

Bruce Arians is one of the NFL's top QB gurus. If he is seriously considering taking a QB at 13 then maybe this QB class isn't as bad as some have told us.
