  1. Don't forget to throw in some extra comp picks!!
  2. No, Pegula is just the decider. He will take the room's temperature and whoever sells him the best makes the call.
  3. Ok, that makes sense.
  4. In what universe does Deshaun Watson have a stronger throwing arm than Patrick Mahomes? Who created that chart? Mahomes has a cannon, Watson has a rag arm.
  5. I’ll be shocked if Trubisky’s not the first one off the board,” said our AFC exec. A scout for another AFC team added, “You’re gonna see the ascension of the Carolina quarterback. He’s the guy, a top-two or -three pick. He’s the guy. A lot of teams like him up there.” So here’s the question: Are you comfortable taking an Andy Dalton or Teddy Bridgewater in the top five? The truth is, Trubisky’s promise is in offering a team stability—but not necessarily superstardom—at the most important position. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/02/10/nfl-draft-depth-talent-prospects-notebook Peter King is a great writer but the answer to his question is NO, you do not draft a QB top 5 who tops out at Dalton or Bridgewater. Now I have seen the Bridgewater comparison but do you honestly believe an NFL team would spend a top 5 pick to draft a guy who THEY thought at best could be Dalton? Someone is off here and I suspect it's King and his assessment.
  6. Jared Goff isn't looking like a bust because of Air Raid. My point was that Texas Tech has more of a stigma attached to it than Cal. When Cal does it the announcers just say "they like throwing the ball" when Texas Tech does it it's a gimmicky offense.
  7. We agree!! The person I call in my network told me Trubisky's upside is Matt Ryan. Not a top 5 QB but can slice people up bad with weapons and the right system.
  8. There are QBs with far higher upside than Taylor in this draft. You might not be sure they will get there but you can't tell me no one can be better than Tyrod. The 2014 QB class had people complaining about it and one QB was franchise and another, Bridgewater, seemed on his way to decent starter. Bortles is a bottom 5 starter and one disaster in Manziel. This QB class also has 4 guys people can discuss like that one.
  9. St Louis is a mess. The point is that we are overpaying a bridge QB for what reason? So Sean feels better? It's another Bills punt.
  10. It's not just Mahomes. There is also Trubisky. Defending the front office with the they are professionals line has been trotted out to defend Marv Levy as GM, Dick Jauron, Doug Whaley as GM, Chan Gailey, etc Good to see continuity.
  11. Yes, the classic don't share your opinion that differs from Bills fan groupthink unless you are paid by an NFL team. An oldie but goodie.
  12. I'm not worried about your evaluations. I'm worried that the same crew at One Bills Drive that have managed to screw up getting a QB will continue to do so.
  13. If we pass on QB at ten I have no faith that we get a top QB next year. Trusting in a QB class assumes that other teams will just let you have your guy next year. I see us as deliberately putting ourselves in QB purgatory as we refuse to rebuild, we are trying to win just enough games to miss out on a top 5 pick.
  14. Actually plenty of better alternatives have been presented. Nick Foles on a one year 6 million deal is far better to me than Tyrod getting 28 million over the next two years.
  15. The Bills themselves see him as a bridge. Hope is fine but that's all it is.
  16. If the QBs have no flaws you aren't getting them on a trade up. This QB class is probably a 2014. If we get to grab Derek Carr in a "poor" draft class that is better than a JP Losman in an amazing QB class.
  17. So how do you propose we get a top 3 pick next year?
  18. We can wait till next year but that doesn't mean we get a top QB next year even if we want one. And giving Tyrod another chance is the worst idea ever. We have 2 years of NFL games to watch as he struggles to throw over 200 yards.
  19. No. Because 2003 does not correspond to 2017. The point is that a strong QB class does not get us a top QB unless we are top 5. And it seems likely that the Bills are trying to Jauron a 5 win roster to 7 wins this year.
  20. We are being told to wait until 2018 to draft a QB because it is going to be stronger QB class. I just demonstrated how the Bills got to draft in the greatest QB class in 20 years and missed out on the first 3 QBs. Let's say 2018 has three top 5 picks that are QBs. Bills draft 7th. Then what?!
  21. How did the much better 2004 NFL draft work out for the Bills? 3 Pro- Bowlers in first 11 picks yet no benefit to Buffalo who wanted one at the time.
  22. This is a weird theme that seems to be coming up a lot since the closure of another message board. I am posting my opinion on an internet message board. Why do I need to preface every post with "in my opinion"? Seems redundant.
  23. Bills Pravda Jon Murphy trying to sell fans on another defense first draft. Yes, there are QBs in this draft with franchise potential. The idea of waiting for the perfect draft class is hilarious. The best draft class of the last two decades happened and the Bills missed on all 3 QBs and had to settle for QB 4, JP Losman. I'm tired of an organization this clueless. Steelers, Giants, Chiefs all looking hard at QB. Bills are better at QB evaluation than these teams?
  24. Manziel was Air Raid though. Honestly, if Mahomes played Air Raid at Cal he would be a consensus top five pick. The Texas Tech thing makes older scouts think of Graham Harrell.
  25. It's an internet message board. The idea that my opinions are my own is already implied.
