  1. Lynch made that play. There were 3 Browns right now him and he made them miss then he made the rest of their team miss! GET LYNCH IN SPACE!!!! PS. Nice hustle by Peters at the end of that Lnch TD. He came diving in at about the 3 yard line and helped push the pile forward into the endzone.
  2. We have 3 QBs officially on the roster, yet the best QB in the stadium is wearing strret clothes! GET KELLY IN THE GAME!!!!
  3. You know......I watched this earlier and was just puzzled as to what happened here. I kind of let it go and just thought he was probably protecting himself. BUT, I just watched this again and there was no way he was trying to avoid the player. If you watch the replay, not only did he not try to get out of the way, but he squared up to to the ball carrier, lowered his shoulder and INITIATED the contact!!!! He definately was trying to make the tackle. There is no doubt in my mind. Aside from wrapping up the ball carrier, he used perfect form! I am still trying to figure out why this happened, but why this is not a bigger deal in the media is beyond me. I am convinced he hit the player on purpose.
  4. I appreciate the defense, but as I said in my last post, I opened the new thread on purpose.......just a subtle jab at a lof of the newbies here. But yes, my information was new and it was not a rehash of everything else hapening. So, even though I made the thread as a joke, it still may be more worthy than all of the others here! HA!
  5. Just so you know, I kind of did this on purpose......I am just as sick and tired as everyone else is of these multiple threads. I was just trying to get a subtle jab in there myself. But yeah, i do agree that this is getting out of hand. I just thought I would kind of mock all this myself!
  6. Just said that on News 4 at 11 in regards to the TG trade....... While it would be great to get him, there is a reason big time trades do not happen often in the NFL. Not saying that it won't happen, but I just have a feeling it will be back to the season as it was after 4:00 tomorrow. That is not necessarily a bad thing. While TG would help this team, I still think the Bills can beat anyone in the league if they play their absolute best game. PS. With all that said, it would be great to get TG here.
  7. Thanks.....I mean there are a lot of words to descibe what the Bills are and what they represent.......but really, everything the Bills represent and mean come down to 1 thing..... Nothing means more..... BUFFALO
  8. Well, that is not what I really meant. I didn't mean to imply that Walker was not athletic. In fact, I believe just the opposite is true. I actually think he is a VERY athletic man, especially for his size. He can do everything you need to have an OT do and I believe he is very solid. I am not saying that he can't pull or move because he can. But let me ask you a question...... Do you think a man that is 6'8" and weighs 370lbs+ will move better side to side in and around people or straight ahead? I am not saying he can't do the former, but if he is pushing straight ahead and just killing the guy in front of him all day, I think this O-Line will be better. And I don't want to single out just Walker. Our O-Line averages something like 6'4 and 330lbs and is one of the biggest in the entire league. They would be better if you just turned them loose and let them maul the guy in front of them all day. A man to man blocking scheme would just be better for these particular players. Throw in some zone blocking here and there, but use these animals we have up front and just dominate the line of scrimmage play in and play out and this huge line will wear out defense very quickly. So, please don't take my comment the wrong way. These big men we have up front are very athletic and can move. But with their size and strength, they will be better moving straight ahead.
  9. Very good. I have been calling for the Bills to get back to a more Man to Man blocking scheme for a while now. Right now, they are not using the physical size of our O-Line correctly. The guys we have up front have the size and strength to dominate a D-Line when going straight ahead. Right now, they are asking these massive linemen to run and move and they are just not made for that. Other than Peters, and maybe Dock, they do not have the required athleticism to make a zone scheme work as well as it can. This team needs to use its size and strength and just run through people.....not try to get around them. They started to use more man blocking in the second half of last year, but through the first 3 games, they are just not doing it as much as they should. A good example was the Lynch TD last week where the whole line ended up in the end zone! That is the kind of push this line could get going straight ahead. They don't need to be pulling Walker and Fowler, etc and have to have them move around. They just need to run right through the D-line and out physical and out muscle the D-Line. I am hoping they come to realize that they are not using the O-Line the way they should be.
  10. BINGO.......If Evans is down, there is no was to intercept a player down by contact and no way to cause a fumble either. THE REF BLEW THAT BIG TIME........ The ref also blew the pass interferance call on Evans as well long with several missed holding calls on the Raiders. The one play that would have made up for it of course they end up getting right on that tipped pass, but man.......the REFS WERE TERRIBLE today.
  11. If he is being shopped and is inactive for the game, usually that means somehting is getting done soon...... But I wonder about Ellis and Corner as well. VERY STRANGE.
  12. Per Text..... Wonder why? Bills Inactives: WR Steve Johnson, CB Reggie Corner, OL Matt Murphy, TE Derek Fine, DE Chris Ellis, DT John McCargo. Gibran Hamdan (3rd QB). Seahawks Inactives: K Brandon Coutu, RB Justin Forsett, LB Leroy Hill, T Sean Locklear, WR Deion Branch, WR Bobby Engram, DE Baraka Atkins. Charlie Frye (3rd QB).
  13. Yes he was and I was dying for the Bills to take him.......Connor, Poz, and Mitchell would have solidified this LB corps for years to come. They could have afforded to the AC go (I think they were planning on doing this anyway after the season) and been solid for many years. I got nothing against Ellis, but I wanted Connor to be a Bill bad. Oh well........ LETS GO BILLS!!!!
  14. Losing is NEVER acceptable........especially settling for it in advance! GO BILLS!!!!
  15. Hey guys....I know this is a very touchy subject. In fact, it just PI**ES me off that we even have to worry about this team leaving. But instead of focusing on the bad stuff, let's try to figure out some things that would make a new stadium WORK instead of all of the things that may make it not work. What I mean, is for now, put the financing part aside for now. I know it is perhaps the BIGGEST part of the whole new stadium idea, but let's talk about making the stadium as practical as possible first and then focus on the financing aspect of things. IDEAS: LOCATION: Well a lot has been said of where a new stadium would make the most sense. There are a lot of good ideas out there, but what it comes down to is where it would be the most convenient for Buffalo, Rochester, and Canadian fans to meet. In this case, probably either Downtown or Niagara Falls does make the most sense. The new stadium should be easily accessed from all of the surrounding cities. It should be tied in with not only the attractions currently here (Niagara Falls, Restaurants, Casinos, etc.), but in an area where more attractions can be added. STADIUM ITSELF: In order for a stadium to be practical and useful, it needs to be able to be used YEAR ROUND for many different types of events.....not just 7-10 dates per year. As much as it pains me to say it, if a new stadium were to be built, to make it more practical, it would probably have to have a dome. I HATE SAYING THIS and I know that most Bills fans will hate the idea (I do as well), but it has to be done. Maybe a retractable dome would work and it would satisfy everyone. Football fans could still have their outdoor games, but with the dome closed, it could be used for SEVERAL other events and dates through the year. Just look at all of the other possibilities that would come available if you were able to use the stadium all year. Concerts, large auto shows, conventions, among several other attractions could be placed in a stadium YEAR ROUND instead of just 7-10 dates a year. It would make the stadium more practical. A 68,000+ seat stadium would be about right. STADIUM EXTRAS: The whole idea behind a new stadium is to find a way to make it an attraction in its on right. I mean with Niagara Falls, the Waterfront, Casinos, etc. there is no reason Buffalo/Niagara Falls can't be among the top tourist attractions in the country. I know, as of right now, nothing is developed and that is a lot of the problem, but I think with a little thought and effort, it wouldn't take that much to improve dramatically. Along with the new stadium, what if a Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame was actually built? What if there was a Buffalo Museum, a Buffalo Bills Museum, etc. that accompanied the stadium (or even built into the stadium) was added to add more attractions to the new stadium area? Adding those things to the existing Falls and Casinos would give more people more options and things to do (not to mention what events might be occurring in the new stadium). New hotels and restaurants could be added for even more reasons to visit. Look, I know all of this is a long shot. It would be very difficult to pull off (especially financially up front). But I just think there is a lot of potential that could be tapped into in this are if it I done right. I haven't really thought about this at all. These are just some ideas off the top of my head. There are a lot smarter people than me out there that could take these basics and really turn it into something special. Again, it is a long shot, but I guess I am just sick and tired of all the doom and gloom around here. Everyone is saying that we don't have this and don't have that. We can't to this and we can't do that. Well, that thinking is why we are where we are. I think it is time to change that thinking someway, somehow. Instead of focusing on what we can't do, let's try to figure out a way to DO IT!!!! Nothing positive will come out of negative thinking. It's time to think outside the box a little. It is time to get creative. It may be risky in some cases, but I for one am sick and tired of coming to these boards and looking at the TV, reading the paper, etc. and hearing everything and every excuse as to why things are so bad and will only get worse. Granted, it is the reality of where we are right now, and we have to deal with it instead of just looking at it and just giving up. I LOVE BUFFALO AND I LOVE THE BUFFALO BILLS. I WANT TO MAKE SURE I, AND US AS A COMMUNITY, DO EVERYTHING WE POSSIBLY CAN TO NOT ONLY KEEP THE BILLS, BUT TO MAKE THIS CITY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS SOMEHNG SPECIAL AGAIN. I may get blasted by a lot of you on this board. I realize that. Many of you think all of this is totally impossible and I can't ay as though I blame you for feeling that way. It is tough to see it any other way at this point. But I firmly believe that with some positive thinking and some creativity and hard work, that things can change. Heck, I think even using some common sense once in a while would help things get better in a hurry. But yeah.....I know it isn't easy. Where is the money going to come from? I don't know yet. Who is going to make this stuff happen? I don't know yet. There are a lot of unanswered questions here. I understand that. But, that is not the point of this post. The point of this post is that things will not get better if we keep thinking the way many of us round here are thinking. It is time to think about how we can make things happen and not about all of things that are preventing things from happening and just giving up. Feel free to add o the ideas above. I know there are a lot of creative thinkers on this board and I believe there are a lot of great ideas out there that you guys have. And I would love to hear them..... And to those who think I'm in fantasy land, that's fine. I understand. BLAST AWAY!!! I don't care. I truly believe that good things can happen with enough hard work. Buffalo has never been handed anything. We have to work just to remain relevant. But, this is a FIGHTING TOWN and I believe in this town and I believe things can change. It is just a matter of figuring out what WILL WORK first. Then, focus on how to make it happen.
