  1. I was surprised McDermott didn't pull Tyrod and McCoy in the fourth once the Bills had a 2 score lead. Based on the Jet's lack of performance, I would have pulled them and had Peterman handing off to backup runners to burn the clock.
  2. I don't think he was much different than before - but the one area which he was different in my opinion - was being more of a pocket passer than a running QB. Seemed like he deliberately played more of a pocket passer role and thew balls away when passes weren't there rather than try to make a play with his legs. Not a huge difference than before - maybe one notch closer to being a pocket passer though. He still used his feet which is good. I just think he deliberately threw the ball away in a couple situations where I expected him to try to make a play with his feet. That is one more notch towards "passer" than "runner". I don't really know if that is a good thing or not. Guess we will see as the season plays out.
  3. It is like you disregard that fact that the QB just proved all the "can't throw over the middle guys" wrong. And you are just waiting around for the guy to fail. And you can't wait. That is what it seems like.
  4. A lot of people are addicted to drama. That is why they still read it and then go complain about it instead of just ignoring it. It is a human flaw. It isn't going away. Same reason people watch those stupid daytime television shows where they highlight people's screwed up lives. Sad - hormone addicted humans. The thing that I find funny about the whole balance question is that - the Dennison offense did exactly what a lot of people here predicted - threw the ball to Clay and McCoy. If this is what a lot of people expected, and it actually happened, why is it now coming into question? I expect to see a lot of that in a lot of games going forward. In fact, I am willing to bet it is going to be a staple of this Dennison offense. Going forward we will see more plays to McCoy and "tight ends" than we are going to see to wide receivers. If people have a problem with that, blame Dennison. I am happy with lots of plays to the tight end and back. However, I am unsatisfied with this offenses number of attempts to stretch the field - as predicted. And I think that is going to turn into a major problem/discussion point in the coming weeks. This team isn't going to keep winning if they don't present a deep threat more often.
  5. Its Barnyard not Junkyard.
  6. That's the spirit. Bet your family/friends are really looking forward to watching the game with you this Sunday. (sarcasm)
  7. Well they do dominate every category in the NFL. http://www.nfl.com/stats/team
  8. If you are basing your assessment of an offense primarily on total passing yards, you are going to misjudge it. Last night's KC Chiefs look like the team that I think Rex was trying to build in Buffalo the last 2 years. Andy Reid is obviously better at it than Rex. The Chiefs are going to win (if they win) by running the football well, by taking occasional deep shots and playing stout defense. They aren't going to need Alex Smith to throw 300 yard games week to week to win. They need to control the football and march down the field steadily on those 90 yard drives like they did last night.
  9. That Chief's offense was no slouch last night. It is entirely possible that the Cheif's offense improved a little bit from last year and they are going to be a force in the AFC. Actually, based on last night's game, it looks like that is likely to be the case.
  10. You don't know good football when you see it?
  11. A bright side: If the Patriots passing game struggles significantly the rest of the season - then I suspect Brady will be getting beat up on the field physically for the foreseeable future. Let's see how is 40 year old body holds up over the course of a season of physical brutality. D Linemen should get full stacks of Brady pancakes.
  12. Yep. And Yep. Sad to say - but I feel like the rest of the league looks at Buffalo like the way we used to look at Cincinnati - kind of a laughing stock - factory of sadness - been losing too long back to back - Bills are going to get these kinds of cheap shots. Fans should expect more of them until this team proves it is good again.
  13. God I hope you are right. Seems like he always finds a new "guy". If they can't execute the quick pass, then perhaps the Bills really have a chance to beat them. The last time the Bills beat the Patriots in Buffalo - the elation was so strong - I think it cured most of societies ills around Buffalo the following week. People quit using drugs. People of different ethnicities hugged each other and got along. Employees smiled at work on Monday morning. Bars gave away free beer. Even the chicken wings tasted better. Make Buffalo great again!
  14. I wonder if the Patriots will approach the BIlls with the same gameplan they approached with KC. I doubt it. I bet when it comes to the Bills, assuming the Bills' pass rush gets back to being good, we will see the Patriots relying on the quick passes - getting the ball out of Brady's hands in 2 seconds after the snap. When the Bills play them, if Brady holds the ball as long as he did against the Chiefs, the Bills front four will have a field day. They will eat him for lunch.
  15. lol Gillislee thinking same ole Patriots.
  16. HUUUUUUGE WIn for KC!
  17. Could it really be the beginning of the end?
  18. Beat in New England. Wow!
