Without Allen McDermott might be coaching DBs in Kansas City. Was Allen on the field when the defense crumbled multiple times against Denver,Philadelphia, and others. KC only stopped themselves in the playoff game. If not for a goal line fumble the Bills are not even close in that game.
It may not seem that I'm open minded but I really try. I've gave McDermott praise many times last year.
So what does the board think?

The night they lost I said the Chiefs were winning it all.
The next day I was one who said it was a rebuild and McD needed to go also.
Right, right and right!!!This coach absolutely squandered our best chance in decades , multiple seasons in a row.
Now , here we are getting ready to rinse and repeat.
Never fear, at the beginning of the new season , I’ll pour some more salt in the would and point out that we will never win it all with McD.

I’m in Mexico, on Verizon, and there’s no outage.

Josh is the reason McD’s one score game percentage is even above 50%.He IS the reason these guys look competent.

McD's defense only forced the Kansas City Chiefs to Punt a grand total of 4 times in 3 playoff games, and allowed an average of 35.7 PPG. Good grief. How in the world is McD still the head coach of this team? It boggles the mind.
Beane shares the 2nd most blame, mostly for doing a bad job with Free Agency. Didn't spend cap dollars wisely, especially on the defensive line. Bad contracts. As far as the draft goes, Beane has done a great job from rounds 4-7 but at an average job in rounds 1-3 which is where you find your blue chip players/difference makers, and where precious cap dollars are spent.
The Players shares the least most blame, mostly for not making enough plays to win in crunch time in one score games during the regular season, and more so in the playoffs.
The bottom line is stats don't lie, it tells a story.

I watched the same stupidity and commented on it in the regular season game this year.
They gave him a free release on third and long, with everyone playing press except his coverage guy. The DB played off, past the line to gain. Hill got there, Tua hit him perfectly and Hill dropped the ball. LUCK.
I believe in going down swinging. You beat Hill by hitting him and challenging him at the line while having someone over the top. You don’t let him get up to speed unimpeded.

I spent my youth going to Catholic mass six times a week. I went to a private Christian high school.
One of my happiest moments was when my mother, who passed in 2018 , as she knew she had only months to live, told me she knew there was no heaven.Of course, we had a good argument about why she subjected me to all that BS and as with all parents, she was doing the best she could and what she thought was right. It took her till her eighties to break the mental conditioning she’d been subjected to as a depression era girl, but she did.
Try doing something nice for someone, not because you believe in something, but because it’s just nice to do nice things. That’s a far more noble cause than “ being a good ( pick your sect)”
I don’t have all the answers but I also don’t need to deify that which I can’t comprehend.
