  1. Are you mocking yourself? I thought this was already discussed and agreed that nothing of the sort is happening.
  2. Looking at teams that I think would be good instantly with him I would list Washington at the top of that list. After Washington I would not like to see him on the Jets, he would instantly make them a much better team.
  3. Can you tell me the difference between what DeSantis is banning and these books? You seemed to call DeSantis a Fascist for not allowing books like this is class
  4. I went to one of the adjacent school districts to here and have a friend whose kid is at Barker Rd. Seriously why is this required reading? @BillStime why do you support this in school?
  5. I thought we were discussing Jackson, apparently you were arguing something else.
  6. Yes, do you? Why does Jackson have such a high crime rate, in your opinion?
  7. I find it hard to believe he has been not 1.5 sacks in two seasons, but if true I am not picking up his option either. One season lost is one thing but two is a really bad signal that he is not healing properly. Tre missed a whole season and looked a little "less" when he came back but that is only one season lost.
  8. You stand by the statement that fixing the problems Jackson is racist, got it.
  9. That the Biden attacker is similar to James Hodgenson?
  10. Perhaps you should clarify your thoughts then on what should happen in Jackson?
  11. This team gave me lots of fun and excitement this year. They are certainly resilient and next year hopefully things fall into place in regards to "luck" because we had little this year and still ended up with 13-3 record.
  12. I stopped giving except to a few specific charities in the early 2000s when I found out who crooked the United Way was. They might be good now but for a time they were spending a ton of money on "fundraising" and salaries of their board. I give to my own religious group and the Salvation Army, who is also a religious group. I do recommending researching and figuring out one or two groups to give to.
  13. I will admit to be torn about Leslie because I think he has made a great defense overall but falls down in the small moments. On a 3rd and 5 you can't have DBs all 11 yards off the line of scrimmage, I don't care how good the other WR is. I think Leslie might actually be a better head coach now than a coordinator, his big picture is strong but his tweaks are lacking.
  14. Your argument is amazing, they need to fix Jackson, but not by replacing the incompetent people but by giving the incompetent people more money. True democrat logic from Billsy.
  15. Who are you referring to with this statement? Are you arguing against the Luddites of 100 years ago? At least you might win against people who have dead for 80 years.
  16. I can't argue apparently, I thought he would go for 80 catches and 1000 yards, along with 12 TDs. From the first Dolphin game on, except for Pittsburgh, he looked mediocre.
  17. I am still skeptical about the increase in deaths can be linked directly to the vaccine because so many other behaviors changed during Covid. People were less active, their mental health deteriorated, they drank more. All of these things had negative affects on people's lifespans. Trying to shut down the people pushing the "died suddenly" reeks of desperation and conspiracy though from people who would be hurt by less pharma sales. Let both sides explain their numbers and let people decide.
  18. The discussion is about Disney+ and other content, which is currently not being made in Florida, but will be in about 3 years. I am going to throw out a conspiracy theory with no research behind it, but this could be the way that Disney is relocating jobs without having to follow some stupid relocation rules in California. If they simply lay them off it might be legally easier than asking them to relocate and being turned down. You blame politicians for price gouging- you seriously project so often on here.
  19. Not sure why you think the people being cut are in FL- the article makes it sound like it is primarily Disney+ and tv production cuts, which are entirely in California. If there is more info available I would be interested but no one I deal with feels their job is in danger from this announcement.
  20. There are multiple conflicting thoughts you touch on here: I don't trust unnamed sources, especially with such large impact topics. I don't want to believe the US did it, but it is more logical than Russia doing it. Lastly the ONLY reason would do it themselves is to cause a quick escalation of the war, but I doubt that is what Putin wants but I definitely can't rule it out. So the short version is I am putting one more small chip in the US did it pile from this report but I am still not sold on anyone's involvement.
  21. I am sure his point is that through history people have all tried to be as Christlike as possible and when explaining to children it is easiest for them to see themselves in an entity that is physically similar and familiar. To make a different argument would require a level of stupidity that only Billsy has around here, not Tibs. Also God does not have a gender he is above all that and our tiny human minds can't properly understand.
  22. Gabe was a large disappointment for me this year, but I do believe he hurt his right hand early in the year. He dropped some easy throws several times that were not normal for him, and his contested ball work was very poor. I know we will give him one more chance but hope this year he gets it all together. I will also state he was certainly misused.
  23. I would love to see College football expand but for the NFL I think it is built pretty well, especially since best record might come simply from playing a lesser schedule. Though a change to 2 teams in each conference getting a bye would be better.
  24. I am a teacher and deal often with AP teachers. The funding does go through the county, which gets it from the states, which gets a few billion a year from the feds, so nothing is directly from the Fed. The funding prior to the pandemic was related at least somewhat to AP scores but I will admit that might have been from Race To The Top but it was a big deal for Federal funds less than 10 years ago.
  25. AP classes cost money in that you need a teacher to teach them, and separate sections of students to take them. The Federal government pays money to schools that can get kids to pass them. So if you just have a section but the kids don't pass them you lose money, but if kids are successful you get money and kids get college credits.
