1. I think there is a little dude who hangs out in the dryer and steals one sock from a matching pair.

I always seem to have a bunch of socks that don't match up.

And they always seem to like to steal them the night before a big date.

Figured this would be as good of an offseason thread as any

All right, dude, you caught me. You see, I got this roommate I live with and he never leaves the apartment and the walls are paper thin so I hide out in your dryer and you know, get my daily happy time. And dude, I don't economize when it comes to the end. There is tons to clean up. Thankfully I can always snag a sock or two from your load to clean up, my er load. I just keep it afterwards, I figure you don't want it.

  2. Hey, most of us here at the University of Texas dislike Bush, and we think it was really a call to satan.

Although there are some that like him, most if not all of Austin is democratic.

A large college and a state legislature usually attract liberals to a town....

What usually has happened in smallish college towns is that the city was usually somewhat conservative and then the 60s-70s activism happened and the students started sticking around after either graduating or droping out. They can't let go of college so they stay in the town where they went, refusing to move on. Eventually you reach critical mass and more and more leftist folks move in and the entire landscape has changed.

  3. heading in to work tonight time and a half will take a nap from 12am - 6 am , good night .

    So many!

    A few come to mind:

    1. Time Management Assistant Coach for Herman Edwards

    2. Senator with a such a safe seat that I can be drunk all the time and never do anything.

    3. The ball boy who takes care of the special kicking balls.

  4. I like them too. Vick too quick for the McNabb's.

I like the upset too. I actually think the road teams will win in both, when was the last time that's happened? I think it did in '92 when the Bills beat Miami on the road and Dallas did the same in San Francisco. I figure it may have later on, but can't remember.

  5. i have a problem with it......he's only 24 and just needs to get his confidence back to make a legit contribution to this team.........everyone remembers what he did his rookie year and we all thought we had a player on our hands.......he wasn't ready to start in '03, and last year's injury didn't help......

more patience is required.......we don't need him to be moss or TO's -- just a dependable 3rd wideout who can make some clutch grabs on third downs......he will be that guy and his case of the "dropsies" will be all but a memory........

Also, didn't Moulds take a few years to develop... you never know.

  6. No, even in mild form it pretty much sucks.  It's not just mood swings...it's a fundamental change in the way the brain processes information (for example, the same color looks vastly different to me when I'm depressed vs. when I'm manic.  A clear blue sky is a leperous gray when I'm depressed, but a bright neon blue when I'm manic.)  Not being able to relate to the world around you in a consistent fashion - even if the differences are only mild - is a miserable experience.

So those high points, you don't get anything out of them? I had heard that some became very creative during them.

  7. Corey Dillon and TO were also regarded as cancers...

Now people call them difference makers.

    213849

Cancers don't show their true selves until the team starts to struggle. It's easy for everyone to be part of the program when you are winning division titles. I think TO and Dillon had bad attitudes previously. Moss can at times be lazy in addition.

  8. Was reading an article today by Cris Carter suggesting that RANDY MOSS seek a trade and get a fresh start somewhere else.

Granted, this is a pipe dream for the BILLS..but Donahoe has had a knack for making big deals.

Think about it..Henry is gone anyway, Moulds..although a great player is past his prime..Dont get me wrong, I think that Moulds is a great football player..but clearly his best football is behind him now.

Moss I believe is better than Moulds in the same way that McGahee is better than Henry..its a matter of history as to what a small difference like a McGahee substituted for a Henry can do..(No disrepect meant for Henry or Moulds here just writing what I think could take the Bills back to the BOWL---and WIN).

Its a win win..Minnesota gets a proven running back, and proven receiver..two for one..they like Buffalo players anyway (See A.Winfield).

The Bills trade the two into the NFC and the Vikings trade Moss to the AFC.

Again, I say..pipe dream...but man...WOW...think of MOSS Lined up opposite

Lee Evans...McGahee in the backfield!!!!! Plus our O-Line and the #2 Defense in the league, special teams!!!!!! Damn, I think Moss would lick his chops at this deal...

Then again, im just a caveman...what would I know!

    213829

Why? I don't think he's worth more than Moulds and Henry and we would take a cap hit for Moulds while gaining a large salary for Moss. Additionally, Moss is a Lee Evans type of receiver. We need short-range receivers to have a good, balanced offense. Moss doesn't make sense at all.

  9. In all this movement to get Ralph Wilson into the HOF have people considered writing to Hall of Fame voters. Peter King and Dr. Z for example all take emails on their online editorials. I am sure others do as well. Maybe people can get these voters at least to start discussing his merits.

    Just a thought...

  10. Drugs or drug use does not make you bi-polar. People can and usually do experience depression from drug abuse, but one does not become bi-polar.

I personally do not believe steriods to be a cause of bi-polarism, but the abuse of steriods could trigger rage problems associated with it.

bi-polar is a mental illness, and many persons who are bi-polar seek out refuge in drugs to help them to cope with their up and down cycles. They do so usually not knowing they are bi-polar.

A person who is bi-polar will one day be curled up in a ball in serious depression, then the next day riding a happy-go-lucky energy wave that most menatally balanced people cannot obtain. It a roller coaster ride from hell for people who are seriosly affected.

Seems like it would be great except for the first part.

  11. I think saying it's natural implies that greed is a natural impulse.  It isn't.  It's learned.

It can be just as natural to weigh all the options and take a bit of a cut to build and stay on a winning team.  That's what the Patriots are doing, perhaps our players could learn from them.

I don't feel bad for Pats players who can't buy their cousin that extra Beamer because they didn't pocket another million, instead opting for a championship.

    213561

I don't feel bad for them and I don't fault them for taking less money. I would love if players on the Bills did the same as a Bills fan. At the same time, I am not going to hate someone for going to another team for more money though.

I don't think it's necessarily just greed we are talking about here. If status didn't play a role than why would these players sign contracts with high dollar figures they won't realize a couple years down the road except for status? It's not like the players are taking money from starving children here, they are taking it from billionaire owners.
