He's still bitter about the Bills firing Gregg Williams. Every time he came on to a show to talk, he always was puffing up old Greggy no matter how terrible his team was performing.
The Art Monk snub job led by him is disgraceful.

When was the last time a trade was made involving players for players as the main component? I think salary cap rules discourage this.

One can be right or many can be right about some things. Any philosophy can be wrong whether it be religious or otherwise. Religious people don't have a monopoly on taking something on faith.

There are two fairly probable occurrences that we should worry about. First is that they put a team in Toronto through expansion and it hurts the Bills financially enough that they move to somewhere else. The second one is that the Bills actually move to Toronto, pushed by Tags to do so.
-
Skydome is NOT an NFL facility...only seats 50,000. Take into account the generally weak CDN dollar, and you wonder why Toronto is so important? (Not to metion Mexico...the peso is even worse!) Every other sport has problems with US/CDN dollar issues, not to mention players not wanting to play in Canada. Why is the NFL even entertaining the idea?
Besides Toronto would have to build a new stadium to even make it work. Start worrying when you hear that story!

I agree, scary robot. They have their own league anyway. What gives the NFL the right to destroy it?
And Mexico...????? I am sure every free agent will be wanting to join a franchise there...

Speaking of which, do people remember when we were calling for his head after the 2001 season?

Commish Tag-a-boo-boo now wants to play regular season games in Mexico and Canada. Cardinals and Bills are mentioned as candidates. Canada also mentioned as a future expansion area. (weak Canadien dollar be damned, eh?)
You have the Cardinals playing before more empty seats than fans. Jacksonville has to cover up seats just so they can have a chane to sell out. Why the f*** are the Bills always mentioned as a candidate to move? Don't we sell out our games?
It's bullsh*t. Keep your freakin's hands off our team.

What were they thinking expanding to Jacksonville. If they had simply expanded into Baltimore or St. Louis back then, we would probably have a team in LA or not have had the Browns fiasco.

I think it's NewenGland, the NJ JESTS, and Seattle.
Everyone knows Boston's fans are a bunch of dirtbags and will not support that team once it starts losing again - and folks, it's inevitable.
The JESTS are the only NFL franchise that doesn't have their own stadium. They are looking to build one in Manhattan but MSG/Cablevision offered to pay $600 million for the proposed site and develop apartments there. The JESTS offer was about $125 million. They could make the move to LA and the Jints would be happy. The NY media would be too. One more storied franchise lost to California - LA Dodgers, SF Giants, LA JESTS. It fits.
Seattle doesn't deserve an NFL team. They're just too close to a rain forest. Rain forest? What's up with THAT? There are no rain forests in the NFL!
Arizona, Indianapolis and San Diego all have stadium deals, I am pretty certain. Here's an article on the Colts deal: http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/journalgazett...ts/10459322.htm
This article mentions Arizona's new stadium: http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=35933
Don't know what the third team would be but I guess we would be talking about Minnesota, New Orleans. In reality, the NFL should be thinking of moving Jax. Their fan support really sucks.

Heard Lee Steinberg talking on the radio today about LA getting a franchise.
He said the NFL will help build the stadium on a site by the Coliseum and it could be a expansion team but more likely an existing team. He stated it could anyone of three teams. Any ideas, or is this just BS wishful thinking on his part?
This LA crap is the NFL at its worst. They aren't just letting an owner move an underperforming team to the city, they are actually openly trying to force a team to move. Shows how little they care about fans in other cities. Seriously, how many failures have to occur before they realize that maybe football doesn't work in LA.

Emmitt actually clearly helped his teams win games. I am not sure if Barry Sanders had a very positive impact on his team. He could run for 20 yards one down and then lose 7 the next one. Not always the best production for sustained drives.

How about we just play the games in this country as we usually have. Tell me again why it's so important to have leagues that extend over national borders?

Hmm... "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen."

I am hopeful that this lockout will get rid of the southern franchises. Biggest mistake was over-expansion.

:I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Emmit. How is Emmit classy? I remember him turning around and waving good bye to a linebacker as he scored a TD. Thats a punk move. What has Emmit done that is classy? Derek Brooks is classy. Warrick Dunn is classy. Emmit is nowhere near their class
Enh, I think we are being partly blinded by our understandable hatred of the Cowboys. By comparison, there are lot more people on those SB teams I would call classless before him.

Bledsoe can lead us to 9-7 and perhaps 10-6 or best-case scenario 11-5. I am dubious he can reach that far but I think we know how much he can carry this team. Losman, who knows? But I rather risk another 6-10 if it means the possibility of a 13-3.
-
Canbuffan made some valid points about why it might not be time to put in Losman. Keep in mind that Losman had less than half a year of practice time. Without him being out there physically thowing the ball in practice, it will be hard for him to complete those passes in actual games.
But Bledsoe is not the answer. If you want a veteran starter--which is not a bad thing to want--there are other QBs to whom you can turn. QBs who have higher ratings than Bledsoe, and who can be signed for lower salaries. QBs like Kurt Warner!
I assume it's a coincidence that your user name has the name Kurt in it?

The Jets have some the highest ticket prices already and there is a waiting list for season tickets. How exactly are they low on revenue?
OT: How much does replacing air bags cost?

I just got into a little bit of an accident this morning, spinning off of a road and took some damage the car including the air bags deploying. It looks like the air bags and a cracked windshield are all that I got, but since I never have had the air bags deployed and haven't had an estimate yet, I was wondering if people had an idea on how much fixing the airbags usually cost and any advice on things to be cautioned about when getting them fixed as well.
