I keep coming back to Wade.  We saw the flashes of his talent in the 2019 preseason - he has NFL speed and escapability.   Obviously, he has zero football experience.

His talents would be a great addition in the Bills' backfield, but does his inexperience make him a liability?   He has said that the hardest thing for him to learn has been blocking.  I'm sure Josh Allen loves to hear that.

Bills need a punt returner and kick returner, and his skills fit there, too.   But are the Bills really going to trust him to make the right decisions on those plays?

Missing the 2020 preseason really hurt him.

As much as I like the idea, I think he's less than 25%.

He is almost 30. By the time the game comes naturally to him,I think his skills will have diminished

I didn't know that.   That pretty much closes that door for Wade, and I'm not surprised.

Didn't see that. McKenzie might be able to handle punts, still need someone to return kickoffs. Could be a rookie

I think you underestimate the level of his talent.   When the Bills were preparing for the Ravens, Wade was the guy who played Lamar Jackson on the scout team, because he was the only guy the Bills had with that combination of quickness and speed.

The guy is really talented.   It's only a question of whether he can learn enough to play the game.

I thought it was Ray Ray McCloud who portrayed Lamar Jackson

Signing Mitchell Trubitzky after using a high draft pick on Jake Fromm is a clear sign that every one on the team has to earn their starting role every year, week, and day.  This has serious shades of Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie.  I think the locker room is strong at this point but I really hope this isn't the start of another QB controversy.

Lets not forget, Trubixy was the SECOND OVERALL PICK in the draft not long ago.  The guy was considered a serious talent.  The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league.  One or two bad games from Allen, or god forbid an injury, and I think its very realistic we could have a debate about the starting QB and a locker room divided.

    I hope I'm wrong fellas....

Fifth round is a high draft pick?

How can you not like this assuming it's dirt cheap? If Allen ever got hurt with Barkley at backup, we were totally screwed. Trubisky isn't great but he can get by.

Exactly,if Bills had to survive an extended period ,say 4 games, worhout Josh,I would rather have Trubisky

I’m following Cynthia Frelund on Twitter and it sounds more and more likely we’re getting someone via trade. I hope it’s Mack but I would settle for Fuller. I just don’t want Ertz, TE is a position we can get in the draft.

Tight end is perhaps the most challenging position to transition from college to NFL. Dont count on much help from a rookie TE

Best case scenario is Levi being our 5th corner.  Good kid.  We could do worse.  Too bad he can’t play man worth a dam

5th? Behind who? White and who else? Taron Johnson in the slot. Dane Jackson hasn't won the starting job.Wallace gets challenged every year by a veteran and has kept the job

I'm more worried about Thuney to Chiefs and Dupree to Titans. That's 2 of the top teams in the AFC signing 2 of the best FAs.

Spotrac says the Bills have 10 mm in estimated cap space (although I don't see Feliciano on there). With available cap space we could barely afford a WR2 let alone the rest of what OP was hoping we'd sign. Beane's "splash" was keeping Milano, Williams, and Feliciano.

6 million of that has to pay for draft picks.  Not sure when you checked but Matekevich reworked his deal since Feliciano signed

It’s become apparently obvious that this is the Bill approach to FA this year.   After the first day and 1/4 it looks like a majority of teams are at above or nearly capped out.  Only a couple teams still have more than $20M in space and no one wants to play for them unless they way over pay.

My forecast:  We won’t see any moves until day 3/4 when the deep discounts are available.  We will add a WR #2, DE rotation,  #1 RB, punter, OL rotation help, #2 TE.

Sit back and enjoy watching teams hamstring themselves in a cap strapped year.

Where are you getting all the money? Bills aren't signing a #2 WR or a #1 RB... and I think they try to keep Bojorquez ,McKenzie, and Boettger if they can free up cap space

  9. Whenever I see these " what about signing so&so?" I have to ask; do you consider the PLAYERS perspective ? Can Bills afford what a free agent thinks he is worth? In Ross's case, hiw many targets could he take from Diggs, Beasley and Davis? And since he hasn't returned kicks,he won't start now. No thanks, there are other free agents and rookies that can fill that role

I don’t mind taking a flyer on a guy in the late rounds, but y’all seriously want a guy in the first 2 rounds w/ the holes we have on this team? Pass rusher is what we need so this defense can go back to top form.

Bills didnt tender Levi Wallace so, Corner IS a hole to fill

Since the season ended the debate has been between those of us, myself included, who think the problem with the running game and the team's abandonment of it is because our RBs aren't very good and those who have blamed it on the O-line.  Well, so far based on the re-signing of Feliciano and Williams, it looks pretty obvious to me that Beane, who in his end of season PC indicated he wasn't pleased with the running game, doesn't think the O-line was the problem.  The starting 5 are basically locked in with the exception of LG, which will be either Ford or Boettger.  So IMO Beane knows our RBs suck and will be looking to upgrade at RB, not O-line, either in free agency or the draft.

The lamest excuse I've seen for not upgrading the running back position is that Beane would have to admit he made a mistake drafting a RB in the 3rd round in each of the last 2 drafts.  Beane doesn't seem to be the type whose pride would cause him to keep the status quo at a position of need just because he drafted two 3rd round RBs.  If the Bills were so satisfied with Singletary & Moss as the top 2 RBs, they would have never tried to sign Bell in the middle of this past season.

The Bills supposed starting 5 only played like 3 snaps together last year. Constant shuffling preve ted them developing continuity

    Entire OL returns intact

2 DL take pay cuts to stay

    Star coming back

We have done a lot of work on our DL/OL's to think that the pick at 30 is auto going to be put here........

Some places I would look at now

    Corner

Running back - If Naji falls

I just don't see RB at 30. Right now they need a CB,and a DE. Then a TE and some depth, and kick  returners. I would like to see them keep McKenzie, Bojo, maybe Boettger

I stand corrected, I thought because of his tweets that he was going to be a goner. Good to see him come back, I wonder if we’re going to be players in FA though?? At least get one big time pass rusher.

I don't know what his 2021 cap hit is but I think they had 10 million ( top 51) available before signing him. Probably leaves just enough to sign draft picks . Could still cut Lee Smith and restructure a couple contracts.
