I think it is not a bad idea to have a 3rd string develemental QB on  practice squad, I would hate to ever see Tyree have to come in and play QB for the Bills.  Dungey was at least competitive and was instrumental is SU's success last year.  I am not close to being any kind of talent evaluator but IMHO Tyree doesn't have it.

So,why hasnt any team signed Dungey if he  is  as good as you say?

so having a real good 90 players that beats the pulp out of another 90 man team means nothing? I think it means much more and i’m thinking it shows we can beat most any team.

During the regular season you will only have 53. So,37 of those guys dont mean much in those 4 preseason games.Seriously,it depends on things like  rotation ,how much your seconds play against seconds, etc.

Honestly, the Bills had the #2 defense last year with a hobbled Murphy.    Is adding Clowney really going to make that big of a difference?   Especially on a one year rental?

Bills were #2 in total yards allowed. Not so good in other categories, like points allowed, sacks

This article does NOT clearly answer  the question: can Wade go directly to the 53 man roster WITHOUT  being placed on the PS. If he DOES go to PS,he cannot be activated.

Don't see Teller making the roster.

    We'll keep the starting 5 -

    Dawkins

    Spain

    Morse

    Ford

    Nsekhe

And then Long and Feliciano can play all 3 positions on the IL.  They'll be our 2 IL backups for depth.  That likely leaves 1 or MAYBE 2 spots for swing tackles.  I don't see the reason why we'd keep an additional OG.  Most teams keep 8 OL on a roster and I see us doing just that.  Especially cause we could kick Ford back out to RT if Nsekhe gets banged up and throw Long or Felciano in at RG to fill in for Ford vacating it

If that is your starting 5,who is the backup tackle? Ford can move to RT and Nsekhe can flip to LT? So,based on what we have seen,Teller,Long and Feliciano are interior backups? Feliciano & Long compete at RG,Ford at RT and Nsekhe as back up?Maybe McDermott or one of the new guys also stays. With Morse's  injury history Bills have to be prepared so keeping 9 is possible

Looking at last year's roster after the cut to 53 is shocking:

What a terrible roster this was. The Bills seem to have made significant improvements at every position except backup linebacker.

Thompson still growing as a linebacker, signed M.Alexander and have two promising rookies

My guesses (in no particular order):

    - Try to convince McCown to comeback out of retirement.

    - Brock

    - Weeden

    - Landry Jones

    - Matt Cassel

Surprised they didnt bring in a 4th. I could live with  Landry Jones, but I think they only carry 2 QB

I know you are probably thinking there's a link to a profound article in this post, but NO. I came up with his idea all on my own. Watch how the football experts like ESPN, ProFootball Talk and Yahoo will pick up on this and run with it.  You guys just remember that old Fergy was the first to recognize the clear goal of our head coach: He is building an 5  cylinder engine on the O Line with pistons firing from different positions at all different times.

    Here's what I mean:

What is McDermott's #1 goal in finding a suitable Offensive lineman??  ANSWER: Versatility

We have tackles that have played guard. We have guards that have played center. We have guards who played tackle. Shoot, we even had a TE who played tackle.  The point is, all through OTA's and minicamp, we have seen a variety of players playing at different spots.  Where else do we see this? On the defensive line of course.  DT's move to outside, DT's drop back, DE's move inside, DE/Linebackers move inside, etc.  So why not incorporate the movement and versatility of Offensive linemen in the same manner?

For example:  On 1st and 10, Morse lines up at center, Dawkins at Left Tackle, Feliciano at left Guard, Ford at right Guard and Nyseke at right Tackle. We gain 4 yards on a run play.  On 2nd and 6, we break huddle and Feliciano take the Center position, Dawkins moves to right Guard (his position for years) , Ford moves to right Tackle, Morse takes left Guard and Nyseke moves over to left Tackle.  The defensive ends and DT's will wonder what the hell is going on because most of them have studied film on the individual designated at that spot in front of them.  The versatility will throw them off.  Every great offense has to be innovative.

In addition, versatility allows McDermott to create a stable of 8 O-lineman who can play all different positions.  Just like McDermott cycles D lineman in to keep them fresh, he will substitute in O linemen or move them around the line every 3rd down or two to not only maintain "fresh legs" but to keep the defensive line guessing who they will be matched up against. It's a chess match, and McDermott is Bobby Fisher.

Keep an eye out. This is the wave of the future and McDermott will be the innovator.

That's crazy talk. They aren't going to move OL from play to play, its disruptive to  continuity. The biggest value of OL versatility is that you might be able to keep fewer (8?)on the 53.

Well, unless Allen makes a monster leap in his play, Prescott last season was worlds better than Allen.

Here's my big concern, Allen's passing strengths don't lie where Beasley typically caught the ball in Dallas, in fact the opposite, those areas were Allen's biggest weakness last year.

So whether that changes remains to be seen, but talking in the offseason much less the preseason I'm not sure accomplishes much, particularly in Buffalo where we've been offseason and preseason champs for years.

We'll see how Beasley works out, but they don't need him deep.  As it is, he only caught four deep passes last season and the gains were only 18, 19, 21, 21, and 32.

Duh....Bills didnt have a receive last year like  Beasley .
