That many? Wow.
I think it is actually 30%. That's a difference of 300,400 players

How much TE did Brown actually play? In high school? Let him worry about making this team as a TACKLE, then we can talk trick plays

There are tons of good players available. I just looked at a list. There are about a dozen or more that were mocked in rounds 4-7. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-ranking-100-best-available-2021-nfl-draft-prospects-tracker
Rignt, but with the strength of this roster, there arent many opportunities. Beane acknowledged how tough it is to recruit UDFA if their agent is trying to find a roster they have a shot at making.

When I heard that the Bills drafted two Swing Tackles with their 3rd and 5th round picks, I was a little disappointed. It seemed like Center/Guard should have been at least one of the picks.
I assumed, of course, that these guys were both future tackles because they’re 6’8” and 6’9” and tall players don’t typically make for great guards/centers. They get out-leveraged and clog throwing lanes.
But then, I stumbled across an interesting fact....
Mitch Morse is the tallest Center in the league at 6’6”
Ike Boettger is the tallest Guard in the league at 6’6”
Maybe... Josh’s height and playing style allows Spencer Brown and Tommy Doyle to ultimately kick inside? Perhaps that’s wishful thinking, but certainly worth mentioning.

Easy... Jaret Patterson, RB University of Buffalo.
He is signing with Washington

More like 30%

It’s interesting to see the duplicate picks at tackle. One possibility is Beane counting on some preseason trades for mid round picks next year.
Or maybe developing players to replace vets when their contracts expire. These guys will need some time

Bills need safety depth. I dont expect much from a 6th rounder but need bodies for camp

Shi Smith I think is a better prospect, but I'll take it. Interesting with Smith taken with the next pick.
Smith was my preference but I hope this works out

What's the scouting report on this guy?
Speed, kick returner ability, gets hurt every year.

Love this pick!!! Good chance he becomes the full time KR/PR and could fill the McKenzie role on offense as well.
Please. His overall return numbers were average . He gets hurt every year. Dont forget Bills signed Brandon Powell. I like that they addressed WR here, but Shi Smith was available.

Why? How stupid. Not one of those 6th round guys has any chance to make the roster.
5th round pick doesn't have much chance either. This way, you get TWO candidates fkr practice squad and maybe one makes it

I think we need to look at the DEs specifically
Hughes
Addison
Epenesa
Johnson
Obada
Rousseau
Beane has kept 5 DEs before so I think Beane does it again. I think it will come down to Johnson versus Obada unless Addison is cut for cap savings but I am not sure of the impact that would have.
I'm thinking Addison ( and Harrison Phillips?) is on the bubble. Johnson is a key special- teamer. So possibly Hughes,Epenesa, Johnson ,Obada, Basham and Rousseau make it.

I think you are high to think all this could happen. Cant force teams to trade with you

I don't love the pick but I have to trust McBeane.

If the Draft fell in a way that we get say:
RD1 - Jaelen Phillips/Gregory Rousseau/Jason Oweh
RD2 - Eric Stokes/Tyson Campbell/Asante Samuel/Ifeatu Melifonwu
RD3 - Bobby Brown/Tyler Shelvin/Alim McNeil/Tedarrel Slaton
I don't think that it's that out of the realm of possibilities to think this Defense could be absolutely filthy next year.
Etienne is easily the biggest upgrade we could add on Offense, and he immediately provides us with a 2nd option when someone goes all out against our QB/WR passing attack.
I also like DE but have concerns over the 3 you mentioned. I might flip-flop and go CB (Stokes or Samuel) at 30. Then maybe Tryon ,Ossai,in 2nd if they last.

Bills line up with TWO Linebackers mostly. Where would you play another one? As a "big nickel"?

Is Cody Ford now trade bait?

He is not coming to Buffalo

Smart. Trading up for ETN is the best possible move for the Bills.
I doubt he gets past the Jets at 23, so gotta trade up to 22 or higher.
This is the move to make. No doubt.
There is plenty of doubt...seems costly for a RB that already has mileage

The draft exists to maintain parity, keeping teams, and thereby the NFL,viable. This drives up revenue, which the players share in. Remember, also, the players are represented by a union which negotiates on their behalf.

Isn't Star under contract for three more years (21,22,23) with a dead cap hit of 5 million next year?

I think we’ve been depressed by our own mock drafts with who might be available at the Bills’ picks. Just heard Gil Brandt claim that players picked in this year’s 4th round would have been roughly 6th round picks in the 2020 draft. That certainly fits my perception.
Thoughts and counter arguments?
First of all,you have it backwards. What he actually said was "“This year, a pick you’d get in the fourth round might be the quality of a sixth-round pick NEXT year.” He was referring to the uncertainty of drafting so many players who didn't play in 2020,due to Covid, opt outs. What if he is wrong? Maybe some of these guys benefit, recovering from injuries? And,he's like 90 so I'm not sure how sharp he is.

Gitt Pitts!!!
It would cost most of the Bills picks to move up for him. No thanks ...will have other spots to fill ,especially with all the one-year contracts
