I will be extremely disappointed if the Bills draft a WR before an OT since OT, not WR, is our biggest need and there are no MLB's worth the 27th pick.

Are so many giving up on Spencer Brown? If you are calling for an OT at 27 you want to bench  Brown right? Missed some time last year and tried to catch up. In his 3rd season,if healthy  can we expect a significant improvement? Is Josh unhappy with Brown?

    Agreed.

Trading down in general to get more picks would be a good move for the Bills this year.

I'd rather have more picks than signing a ton of UDFA's.

"More picks" seems like a sound strategy...but I don't care to add day 3 picks.  They just might get poached off the practice squad.

If Bills trade out of the 1st,I hope it's for TWO, day 2 picks.

If a QB drops to 27...Bills could get a good offer.

It's really surprising there are that many quality edge guys.

I'm guessing a decent amount of them won't sign anywhere until the draft.

Call me crazy, but I'd like to sign 2 of these guys.   I'll take 2 of  Floyd, Quinn, Ingram, Houston, Dunlap.  I think the others may be too much $

Floyd has gotten 9-10 each of the last 3 seasons. Von knows him.
Quinn had a down year, but 18.5 sacks in 2021.....could potentially be the steal of free agency
Ingram is a Bills terror. We could use some nasty. The guy causes chaos routinely that isn't on the stat sheet

Just because a guy did well AGAINST the Bills doesn't mean he would fare well FOR them, especially now he is a year older.

So...you sign TWO of them? Why would two free agents come to Buffalo ,knowing the other was signing? Where would they play? And what happens when Miller returns? Who do you cut?

Walter football , walt and charlie both had bills taking him at 27. Hes excellent value at 27. get 5 years out of him and no 2nd contract. Theres no one else worthy at 27 folks.

Gibbs, Cook, and Damien Harris. Lets goooooooo

And piss off all three of them for lack of carries.

Threat breakdown! Thanks! He’s my favourite OL this year and if he is available at #27 we have to draft him….. Can Spencer Brown be moved to guard?

Bills won't move Brown to guard.  They just signed two.

Congrats on that glass half full perspective.  Diggs is almost 30.  Davis has been underwhelming as WR2 who's in the last year of his contract.  We should be looking to draft a future Diggs replacement who can play on the outside as the WR2 in the meantime. Unfortunately, this WR draft class is abhorrent.

Good point...and my concern is; what happens if Diggs gets hurt? Bills run lots of 3-WR sets so depth, and versatility, is important.

I'm not overly  concerned about the label of "slot" vs "outside" as long as the guy is productive.

Something about Jordan Addison doesn’t feel right. With that slender frame, I think he’s gonna get pushed around at the NFL level and be a 3rd WR at best.

Webster Slaughter ,Davonte Smith ,Dede Westbrook, DeSean Jackson, and many more skinny WRs did okay in the NFL.

I personally kinda feel he should concentrate on being the best player for the Bills he can be - it was great that Christian Wade was a fine drummer but would have rather seen him be a fine American football player.

But maybe that's my inner Grinch talking....I know there are a fair number of guys on the Bills who are interested in music - Tim Settle I believe has a recording studio in his basement etc - and it is just OTAs, I suppose you can't live and breathe them 24/7

Guys don't work out , practice or football 24 hours a day. They're entitled to a personal life, just like YOU are ,Mr. GRINCH

I feel like this is just part of some Beane smokescreen to make it seem like we're still interested in adding a rb and might draft Bijan Robinson.

He keeps saying that Edmunds' replacement is on the roster and we haven't signed anyone new at LB, so that screams that we'll take a linebacker in the 1st or 2nd.

Please share a link confirming Beane actually said " Edmunds replacement is on the roster ". I DID read that Dodson,Bernard and Spector, maybe even Matakevich,  would COMPETE for the job. But that doesnt mean Beane won't sign or draft a LB. Ridiculous to think he would limit his draft options by believing that. Perhaps a smoke screen to fool the gullible?

The only position where Buffalo doesn't have a player who could be labeled a starting caliber player is middle linebacker, and the value in the first round may not have a first round middle linebacker.  People are hating on Gabe Davis, but it can be argued that he is a starting caliber WR, even though he disappointed in 2022.  The same is true at right tackle in Spencer Brown and running back with James Cook.  I wouldn't be opposed to the Bills making their first round pick at any of those positions including TE.  If the pick were a tight end, I think it means the Bills tweak their offensive play calling a little to include more two tight end formations, sometimes lining a tight end up in the slot and maybe running the ball a little more.

Bills should add a playmaker and it could be WR or TE.

Could also go OLine at 27 if they think there is a surefire starter there.

As for "first round grades " and overall rankings, teams still have  to fill needs. If the rankings said the BPA at 27 was a QB,It would be a huge waste for the Bills, obviously, with Josh around for a long time.

If you pass on  LB at 27,what are the chances of drafting a starting LB at 59 or 91?

The more I think about it this makes the most sense. Imo the pressure is on Beane to make this draft work and fortifying Josh would be the best bet, whether it be a stud RB, a top tier WR or a OL to help solidify the trenches. To me it’s really between a stud RB or a mainstay OL because to hear Beane a top WR isn’t as important as one would think.

Not having an abundance of draft picks this year I expect Beane to tap into the the 2024 draft resource to make this happen, either using a day 2 or 3 pick to move up in this year’s draft. Why not use a future draft pick when the heat is on now for a successful draft. If Beane comes up short this year he may not have to worry about next year’s draft.

I haven't read anything where Beane says a' WR isn't important". He doesn't give anything away.

Well, I think that is a cogent consideration. Some on this board think it is ill-advised or even ridiculous to believe that could be a factor in Beane's decision making process. You don't want to let the players dictate your team building, but it seems reasonable to me that when your top players on offense are unhappy with the personnel and one of them is the franchise qb you ought to give that some weight.

I don't believe he really thinks that and if he does, he's flat out wrong. He's a low end WR2.

I like how you show off with words like ''cogent '. Most of your audience doesn't use this word.  And it still doesn't validate your football opinions.

Please don't encourage whorlnut's conspiracy theories, it already looks like he's going to lose it if we trade up and draft Jack Campbell.

Yes, the players can have some input.  Just like what was reported to help Dorsey get the job.  And last year when the offense sputtered the veteran players did not say "let's get the rookies more involved".  No, they went out and brought back Smoke and Beas.

What the FO is doing to help the offense is moving monetary resources over from defense to more investment in offense.  Seems like they were prepared to let Poyer walk, until they got an unexpected bargain, let Edmunds go, and Oliver is iffy.  The FO already did some OL upgrades, and tweaking to the WR group.  All big move talk has centered on name WRs (Dhop, OBJ) in contrast to last year when it centered on pass rushers.

We shall see if the OKine moves are upgrades. And  Oliver is "iffy '? Meaning you think they trade him? Good luck
