How do you see the OL & DL.

    Your Recommendations

    1 - Poor

    2- Below Avg

    3- Average

    4- Above Avg

    5- Good

    6- Very Good

    7- All Pro

    LT - Dawkins(5)  Doyle(2)  Quess(2)

    LG - McGovern(4)  Boettger(3)  Broeker(2)

    C - Morse(5)  Bates(4) Mancz(2)

    RG - O’Cyrus(5)  Edwards(3)

    RT - Brown(2) Gouraige(2) Jarvis(2)

    - The OL has been upgraded from 2022. There is decent depth. Will be plenty of competion at G and RT

    - I’d like a vet RT to compete. DJ Fluker would be fun. More likely Brandon Shell or Isaiah Wynn

    - UDFA Gouraige from Florida who played LT & LG may push for a roster spot. It seems logical to try him at RT next to his buddy Torrence and see if there’s instant chemistry. If that experiment works, the right side is anchored for a long time.

    - I like Spencer Brown, but he can’t stay on the field for training camp or during the season. He has been a liability on the field too often. If he stays healthy, perhaps he grows quickly.

    EDGE - *Miller(7) Lawson(4) Epenesa(3)

    DT - Oliver(4) Settle(3) Bryant (3)

    DT - Jones(6) Phillips(4) Dale(2)

    EDGE - Rousseau(5) Basham(2) Kingsley(2)

    - This is perhaps generous to Von. His previous season after a torn acl, he was All Pro.

    - Shaq is a solid rotational piece. Good run defender and is capable of 6-8 sacks with more snaps

    - Epenesa is a ?  He somehow had 6.5 sacks, but seemed invisible most of the year?

    - Rousseau has a chance to become an elite Edge player. He is already very good against the run. With his 8 sacks last year, his target should be 12 this season

    - I expect vet DE & DT’s to be signed in the near future.

    - Ideally we’d sign 2 DE’s and look to trade Basham or AJ.

    - I want Melvin Ingram + Ngakoue, Floyd, Quinn or Houston

    - DaQuan Jones should be extended. He’s earned it and frees up some cap space.

-4 year starter at Alabama DJ Dale could really push for a roster spot. If he looks strong in camp, Oliver should be on the trade block (Beane likely views it much differently)

    Eli Ankou?

Nah.  You can always use a big tub of goo.

Problem with him was he had too much goo  in the brain.

No,you aren't keeping up with the game.  Passing is WAY more prevalent than when you watched football in the dark ages.

The fact that your post is about 'a big tub of goo" shows why you can't be taken seriously.

  4. Moot point if they don't have the cap space

I believe that Ngakoue rumor someone posted a while back. He makes sense as a hired gun who can get you 10-12 sacks in a part time role.

He has reached 10 sacks twice in his career. One trick pony that wouldn't be a great addition

The Bills have been regular-season-good for many seasons now. But we haven’t been able to break through in the playoffs.

We got blown out by the Bengals in the playoffs by 17 points. Some argue that we were simply out of mental steam due to the Hamlin situation. However, we also did not look good in the limited action we saw of the first Bengals matchup (pre-Hamlin injury). The Bengals walked down the field and scored a TD, and they were walking down the field again when the injury occurred.

I think we can all admit that despite our record, the second half of last season wasn’t very comfortable. We lost to the Zach Wilson led Jets. We lost to the Vikings. We barely squeaked by the Dolphins at home. We needed a heroic last second throw and catch by Allen and Diggs to beat the Lions.

So here is my question - Is what we’ve done this off-season been enough to bridge the gap between the Bills and Bengals/Playoff Chiefs (playoff Chiefs are different than regular season Chiefs)?

    Added:

    Dalton Kincaid (love this)

    O’Cyrus Torrence (love this)

    Connor McGovern

    Taylor Rapp

    Deonte Harty

    Trent Sherfield

    Damien Harris

    Micah Hyde comes back

    Lost:

    Tremaine Edmunds

    Isaiaah McKenzie

    Roger Saffold (addition by subtraction)

    Jake Kumerow

    Cole Beasley

    Jamison Crowder

    Devin Singletary

I think we did get better. Kincaid brings something to this offense we have literally never had before. Ever.

We re-tooled 40% of our o-line with McGovern and Torrence, and removing Saffold is addition by subtraction by itself. I don’t have much faith in Harty and Sherfield, but I refuse to believe they’ll give us any less than Crowder and McKenzie did last season.

    What’s your thoughts?

Also signed Edwards.  Considered a guard but was a good RT in college

Yeah, experience is one thing, ability to hold the fort as a starter is different.  There's absolutely nothing to suggest that anyone after Milano is starting LB material.

It's concerning to be sure.  And what if Milano were to get injured?  Yikes!!

Williams is excellent in coverage and could back up Milano.

One of those 6 in bold will get cut or traded, my bet would be on Boettger as typically teams go with 5 interior and 4 tackles.  Or could they make a more shocking move and cut Morse?

Not 100% certain Torrence will start, could be Bates instead.  But if they were to cut Morse, then Torrence starts at guard and Bates at Center

    I doubt they cut Morse.

  9. This roster looks pretty good.

I agree that Kincaid shouldn't be considered a "starter ",yet, and some positions will be competitive in camp.

Although the DLine has quantity, I want to add a  quick, Von -Miller clone pass rusher.

Perhaps players like WR Xavier Hutchinson , Scott and Perry or RB Roschon Johnson will be available.

How about we trade Knox and Oliver for DHop and #33.

then draft Washington at 33 and Avila at 59. Then in the 3rd get the best DT that’s there. Benton, Ika, Coburn

    one can dream can’t he

In all seriousness, I’d say Avila, Bergeron, Schmitz, Mauch, Jones, O’Torrence, Tillman

Knox isnt going anywhere; Kincaid isn't replacing him, more like he will be a slot receiver and allow the Bills to run a 12.

Yes, so you are comparing signing someone like CJ Stroud vs someone like Derek Carr.  Who would you offer more too?

It obviously depends on how much cap space you have. Teams have different philosophies and priorities but would still have needs to fill in this free agent frenzy.

The NFL players union would never agree  to this fantasy, but in the spirit of your new game; in this case, only QB- needy teams would compete for Stroud, not all 32 teams.

I don't think GMs would be overly aggressive and reckless.

    Captain Jack Campbell

Some people are going to hate this pic I think that need and value match up here

If we go Captain Jack with the first pic, I hope that the second pic is on Marvin Mims wide receiver

Jack Campbell fits this defense perfectly and yes, the linebacker crop this year is horrible, but the two at the top are starters for their teams for years

Jack Campbell has the instincts that we are looking for. He is super athletic and doesn’t get enough credit for it.

Thanks for promoting Mims. I dont see why there hasn't been more talk about him.

  13. The trend for the NFL (this century, especially, last decade) has been to draft the 21 year olds,so nothing unique about the Bills picking 21 year olds. With the wage scale, there is less incentive to stay in college:  players want to start earning ,so they can get into their second contract earlier and make significantly more money. Your logic is flawed.
