That depends. We may win Sunday or every Sunday, but for me to be proven that MM made the right decision, it'll have to be on the arm of KH not the legs of WM. Otherwise, its an invalid comparison. If it is on the arm of KH, then I will gladly admit I was wrong. I've done that before and would love to do it again.

I agree and that's exactly why I'm so upset about this move. I'll still hope they win. But deep down, I'm not at all convinced this is for the long-term betterment of the team.

What I don't understand in looking at that list is why Edgerrin James has so many attempts when he plays with one of the best Qbs in the game. Or why Rudi Johnson does, when Palmer is so hot right now. And so forth. It seems puzzling to me that these teams are running the ball so much when they have such great quarterbacks. Maybe if we ran the ball more, we'd have a better quarterback...... nah. I'm really stupid.

Losman shouldn't be benched because he's not solely responsible for his stats and our loses. If you bench Losman for poor performance, then bench half the team. We'll be playing all back ups and practice squad players but at least you'll be putting the blame where it should be. Yes, the play calling is partly to blame. The Saints even said the Bills offense was predictable. So, I can be upset about the coaches and the play calling. JP looked pretty good on the first drive last week. But then we got away from the formula on that drive (run first, pass second) and look how it ended up. I've actually seen sparks in JP. Of course, the stats don't always bear that out. So I guess it doesn't matter because we all know how important stats are.

Apparently, we've fallen so low we don't even care about making the Superbowl. I'm not even sure that we even care about making te playoffs. Everyone just wants us to be contending for a playoff spot. So let's do all we can to pretend we have a shot at the playoffs and ignore the obvious.

I don't understand. If KH was such a great player, why was he here as a backup? Why has he never led a team to the playoffs? Why all of a sudden does he become the best QB option out there? I'm afraid anyone that thinks KH will get us into the playoffs this year is closing their eyes on reality. He's not done it elsewhere. Why is today and this team any different?

The admin at OBD pretty much threw away our oppurtunity for potential when they named a virtual rookie as our starter back in Feb. All I'm saying is lets follow through and see how could he can be before we throw him aside.

Who says we're still in the Playoffs? That's the problem here. Too many people think this is a team contending to win the east and a playoff spot. It ain't gonna happen with the lines that we have. It doesn't matter who the QB is.

Nope. Because JP hasn't had a career yet. In a rookie's case, you have to weigh his potential not his past. If we had a superbowl team now, I may agree with you about dumping JP. But we clearly are not a Superbowl team. So why not let the kid develop and waste a year to have a brighter future?

So what do I do, now that the football season is over?

Exactly. You can pull out one of Bledsoe's early games here and use that to justify why he should still be the starter in Buffalo. You have to look at the whole to see the sum of the parts. And right now, these parts are adding up to a whole lot of mess.

Its gonna be another QB. Once Kelly fails, then we have no choice but to get a good young QB in here that can be the future.

I'm afraid people are just missing the point. The point is everyone says don't worry JP you don't have to carry the team. But, then when the team flounders, who gets the blame? Its a double standard. And myself, and probably most people here upset about this are more upset about that than anything. Its the double standard. Its the being sold one thing and given another. I was perfectly content watching our team go 8-8 this year with JP. Because he was our future and was going to take us to the superbowl someday... not just the playoffs. But, now they've changed the rules and JP may not be the future. So what was it. Also, myself and many others see the big picture. And know that more often than not, when you pull young promising QBs and screw with their heads, you screw their careers. So its not about the next 2-3 weeks. For me, its what kind of team are we going to be for the next 5-6 years. Right now, they've taken a huge step towards uncertainty and that's what I don't like. I'd gladly give up this season, if Iwas reasonably sure it would give us 5 or 6 great ones in the future. Now, who knows what we'll get htis season or next. I guess I'll just watch the game, drink a little, and sit back when its all over and see .. see I told you so to myself again. Because I've seen this train wreck coming.

Exactly. KH can through one pass and have better stats than JP. But what does that tell us. Nothing. What if KH's stats are better but we still lose? Then we leave him in and say are QB looks real good back there? Who cares that we lost? I don't cause man that guy looks good. It's like Favre. He looked great on Monday night - statwise. But the Packers still lost, so it means crap. Starting KH means crap, unless he's the reason we win. If he's the reason we win, then maybe I'll cahnge my mind. But unitl I see him prove he's other than a journey man on his last stop before retirement, I say this is a big mistake - bargaining the future, for a high today.

What happens when KH plays so-so. But we win because they finally give it to Willis 30 times during the game. Then what? We decide KH looks better handing the ball off than JP.

What'll happen is they'll finally run the ball more than pass. As a result Willis will have a big game. KH numbers won't look bad - although they won't be spectacular. And we'll win the game. Then everyone will say, see KH was the right choice. That will play out for a few weeks but then the bubble will bursts and we'll see exactly why KH is a journeyman QB that has never amounted to much. But by then, we'll have lost another year of JP's development and we'll be in this same predicament next year - a young qb with no experience. So we'll try to beef up the receivers and maybe bring in a better backup QB because KH couldn't do it. All the while ignoring the line. Sounds like the last 5-10 years in a nutshell to me. De je vue.

It's all bull sh--. JP will never get better on the sideline. KH has never proven that he should be a starter anywhere. How we go from the season is not on JP's shoulder's to.. its JP's fault lets bench him is beyond me. It's not about supporting anyone player, its about supporting a team. If you bench one guy because he's not performing, then they should bench half theteam right now. Mularky just dropped tremendously in my book. We'll still be lucky to finsh 8-8 this year, regardless of who's the qb. All they're doing is playing a trucky game with a young man's confidence and his ability to be a leader. This team has gone downhill since they unceremoniously cut Thomas, Reed, and Smith and now the sh-- continues. Let's all blame who's not the problem and just keep rolling to sell tickets and merchandise.

If they did announce that, it'd be the first mistake - giving the Fins time to think about KH and not JP. Not to mention the other mistake.

Amen to that. Haddad was a great young and "wanting to prove himself" receiver. I think he'd be leading the team in recieving right now if not for being so undeservedly cut.

Well, I certainly wasn't someone that signing KH was the greatest thing since sliced bread. But, I do see your point. Stranger things have happened. I haven't given up on the season, mostly because I never really got behind the season. I being somewhat level headed and a student of history, knew that JP was going to struggle this year. That he would play some games and look good and then follow up a week later looking miserable. So the season, in my mind is not at all lost. In fact, we're 1 game better than we were last year. And of our 3 losses, 2 were to teams that are (at this point) looking like Superbowl contenders. I'm not saying we should protect a No. 1 pick or anything. I'm just saying that if JP supposedly has all the potential that everyone seems to think he has, then why don't we let him play and develop that potential. He was pulled last week when we were down by 6 points. How great for his and the teams confidence would it have been if he were able to struggle all game like he had and finally get a drive together in the 4th quarter that put us in the lead? Win or lose, it would have done immeasurable good to this team not on now but for years to come - certainly in comaprison to him watching KH try. If we don't give him a chance, how will he ever become the starter of the future that leads us to the Superbowl?

True, but that's a marketing ploy by the teams to make money. But the NFL will only let them do it for 2 games each year. The real uniforms are all becoming just that.. uniform. Of all the teams with new uniforms recently, look at the colors and tell me they're not all the same few colors. Why is that?
