There have been days after Bills losses where I would say that I’ve been “depressed” - Houston playoff game, 13 seconds, etc and in a fog. Today was such a different level. Im genuinely worried about the people and don’t give a ***** about the record.

This is what happened for me. During games, As Josh goes, I go. If he’s calm, I’m calm. If he’s frantic and upset , Im frantic and upset. As soon as I saw him so scared and covering his face as he teared up, I got really shaken up and knew something was very wrong.

1000% and also, these leaders are human and also need mental health resources. Mcdermotts face will haunt me from last night and Beane has to have had one of the most stressful seasons of any GM going back to Kim’s medical incident, araiza, Knox’s brother dying, Dane Jackson, Hyde and von season enders, Josh elbow management, ALL the weather ***** and now this

I made a list earlier and forgot about the Araiza thing! Just Unreal.

Something I just thought of as it pertains to the “bye week” part of the 1 seed, specifically the value of the time off. The Bills essentially will have played less than a quarter of football in 15 days, between 12/24 and 1/8. So while they still practiced for 3 days, the one concern some had about getting the 1 seed had to do with their early bye week and having a chance to recoup with injuries before the playoffs. They don’t have that exact advantage and would need to play a wild card game, but all is not totally lost out of the value of the 1 seed as it relates to that one specific thing (if they don’t get it).

From a pure football perspective, the only positive is that they are playing a team that they already prepared for once this year and have played 3 times in the last 12.5 months.

I have no doubt they will play on Sunday. Not sure they will win. It is what it is. Before we get too riled up about seeding, it may all be moot if they lose. There is only so much a team can take mentally as they try to prep for this game and take the field again. JMO

I think it will be cancelled and they likely do have contingency plan to determine seeding. Cleanest way is to go by win percentage after week 18, enact tie breakers as needed from there, let the chips fall where they may for Bills and Bengals, and move forward. Trying to play the game at this point is problematic for a number of reasons. If the universe says the Bills weren’t meant to get the 1 seed, so be it. JMO

I don’t think they can, really. Than you would have teams playing Sunday, Thursday, and then Sunday again, Monday at the latest. Nflpa would never approve.
