McD: this is a useless concern. With this defense, the broncos won’t be punting!

We’ve been hearing all about the “storm” bc Buckeye fans are headed down there for the cotton bowl tomorrow night. People wondering if it will impact how many go down there. While it’s nothing like Buffalo, we’ve had 10 inches of snow in cbus with wind and temps in the teens for about a week so not deterring anyone here.

Ngl codrington injury status has been a hot topic on all of the podcasts and radio shows but I think it’s bc this is overall the healthiest roster that a McD team has been blessed with the enter the playoffs and it’s the only injury to discuss. Look I really dislike Matt smiley as a coach so I don’t have a ton of faith that the PR game will be as good as it’s been and that does impact field position and heaven forbid turnovers BUT I don’t see it a big McD blunder. As others have said someone had to play corner and he’s the last guy on the depth chart there. I remember one year Isaiah McKenzie played CB in the same situation. Ultimately it’s a hammy he didn’t tear his ACL. This team should be able to adapt and maybe he comes back soon.

I am guessing that while he may have reached out to Ty directly, that it was initiated/encouraged by Bills PR. While Ty did not come out and say that, he did mention and give kudos to Bills PR for their willingness etc and their part in the whole thing.

He said Sean reached out to him in a very professional manner like a day after the article dropped and said he’d like to sit down and just get to know him etc, Schopp asked if his radar was up on how much he would trust that convo and he gave credit to the Bills PR and Sean that they basically understand critical pieces are going to be run and that’s just a fact of the job but he wanted to give him a full picture of his first year and how he arrived to the current version of himself in the job. dunn said if they go out and loose he will write another critical piece and that’s how it goes but he respects him a ton

This guy was the darling of the league like 2 or 3 years ago. Their defense was abysmal but the team also didn’t invest in the players. Mike brown is cheap and just likes shiny things that sell tickets: that’s why they have a few superstars and no depth.

I’m not underestimating Denver but the chief’s thing doesn’t resonate much with me this year, the raiders were a botched snap away from beating them in arrowhead too and they are brutal. Division rivals almost always play each other tight. i think the more meaningful stat is that the broncos are 1-6 when the opponent scores 20+. They need to win a certain type of way. As a comparison, the Chiefs failed to score 30 points all year. The bills had some absurd streak of doing so. The Bills are a bad matchup for them.
