Alright.. I'd argue you're being a bit conservative with your definition of "market". The raw number of people who live near a stadium is a fine metric, but taking intangibles into account, I believe the bills are far more "valuable" than you're giving them credit for.

First, ridiculing this courageous fool is shamefully uninspired. The NFL rules on ownership were not written with the eyes of the public in mind. They are explicitly designed to protect the interests of established, wealthy ownership. They institutionalize financial secrecy, stubborn dealings, private vs. public hostage situations ("I'll take my team to X if you don't give me Y"), and a litany of other things common folk like us raise pitchforks over. The NFL as it stands today, is a collection of rich people's toys. A loud and articulate statement on the subject, I believe would generate interest/sympathy nationally, especially one tailored to the Buffalo Bills and their current situation. No equity, no draconian residency requirements, just a symbolic share which grants you the same rights Green Bay fans are allotted. If the plaintiff was completely black out drunk and any reasonable person could see that, it could be considered negligence for someone in a position of power, be it a security guard or a member of the medical staff, to let that person out into the cold under their own volition. While I recognize the importance of championing accountability, if the facts indicate that this kid was totally out of it, their is an argument for shifting some of the liability for his death over to the cognizant individuals who decided where he'd go.

Does anyone else dislike the moniker, "Bills Mafia"? I don't like how it originated from harassing a television personality (over something incredibly minor) and I just generally dislike the whole Mafia aesthetic. What does "The Mafia" have to do with The Buffalo Bills? It's just a crude, random, and ill thought out fan moniker, and I wish we could change it.. to literally anything else. Am I alone in this?
