1. I'll flip your question around and ask:

Could somebody please answer me this...Why does anyone feel the need to still bash Bledsoe?  So what if he gets praised here at TBD?  He's a goddam Cowboy and the Cowboys suck...every last one of them including their coach and owner.

The bashers didn't mind starting threads during the first preseason game about how badly he played, and even started threads after one of the first plays of the first regular season game.  But when he plays well, nobody should talk about him?  :pirate:

I guess since the Flutie/Johnson debate still crops up from time to time, it is to be expected that DB, his performances as a Cowboy and whether he should still be a Bill, will be rehashed from time to time.

    To each their own.

If anyone feels that strongly about, why not go wash his balls over at a Cowboy message board. ;)

  3. Wow what a surprise...another column on what an idiot Sullivan is. He's a freakin' columnist and is supposed to write a piece 3 or 4 times a week stating his opinion. What a bore it would be if he ran all his columns through OBD & TBD for approval. Why not just add to the TBD TOS that "Sully's opinions are stupid" and be done with it. ;)

  4. His MENSA membership gives him that right.  It's printed right on the back of his members card.

    PTR

    471421

The MENSA membership also entitles him to talk endlessly about baseball even though 95% of his listening public could care less except for playoff time.

The Bulldog is the less polished of the two, but Joe fan can relate to him a lot better than some condescending guy with a photographic memory for stats.

  5. 8.15 ypa, though, which is excellent. that's the most important qb stat there is.

that's actually a very good showing for a"bad game". he's not gonig to be great every game -- no one is. also, the raiders' defense isn't nearly as bad as you are claiming. their first 3 losses were against 3 of the 4 best offenses in the league - NE, KC, and Philly (and they would have beaten Philly on the road if not for missed FG attempts).  they have good talent in the secondary and on the defensive line.

in fact, they were picked by many to go the super bowl.

    471816

His performance was definitely closer to "bad" than it was to "above average" as Peter(not to be confused with Pete ;) ) stated.

  6. It has become embarrassing for the Jags to have all the empty seats when they have a competitive team. Like was stated earlier, the Jags can't pull the tarps on and off, on a per game basis. They are on for at least the 2005 season. This is one city, where in hindsight, should not have been awarded a franchise.

  7. Actually, it was above average.  It was not great, but it was certainly not as bad as some of the stinkers that we have seen this year while watching the Bills.

    471731

Above average?? Take a look at the stats. It actually looks a lot like the games he had last year.

11 for 26, 212 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 4 Sacks & 13 points scored against one of the worst defenses in the league.

  8. Let's see where Bledsoe stands at the end of the season. It was an impressive outing against the best of the NFC(Philly), but he had a lot of impressive games during his first half season as a Bill. That being said, letting DB go was still the right move to make.

He wasn't taking this team to the promised land, no if's and or buts!

PS How was Bledsoe's performance last week against one of the leagues charity cases aka Oakland?

  9. I have Direct TV and have Sunday ticket and you watch little bits of each game while the Bills game is in commercials and every team gets screwed by the referees it's a shame that there ref's in the NFL.  Even College Refs are better.  The worst ref is TOM WHITE sec by ED HOCULI what a bumb each are.  I beet the longest game each week is refed by ED HOCUULI and its a shame that they don't fine them for making bad calls.  I say suspend them if they make bad calls.  THEY SUCK ANYWAYS SO WHO CARES.  HIRE NEW ONES NFL!!!!!

    471526

The referees and the members of their crews are graded after each and every game. You can bet that the officials that grade out the poorest at the end of each year are either replaced and/or "put on notice".

PS What does the length of the game have to do with anything? Who cares if Ed Hoculi is involved in the longest game each week?

  10. It was Walt "blind as a bat, dumb as a stump" Coleman and his crew.  What did you expect?"  Be thankful the Bills were able to overcome them and still win.

    471479

Miami had 18 penalties called against them! What did the Bills have to "overcome" in terms of the officiating?? ;)

  11. Sending Bledsoe packing was an easy hot pockets solution.  Tons of knuckleheads were in here calling for it like an angry mob in a Frankenstein movie (don't worry the illlusion is not lost on me).

Greatest D, Greatest ST, Hall of Fame new WR, Hall of Fame new RB.  Bledsoe was bringing us down.  B f'n S.  Can you see it now? Can you finally freakin' see it?

It wasn't Bledsoe. But Bledsoe made it easy for the coaching staff, the inept GM and a fan base that barely knows what a 4-3 defense is, to point to one guy. That way you don't have to do your homework and see the weaknesses in an offensive line, the lucky bounces that the ST got, the defense that gave up more 1st downs on 4th than anybody.  The o line that had more penalties than 30 other teams in the league.  A wide receiver corps and TE that were, and are, vastly overrated.

Now you've got more season ticket holders dropping like flies and advertisers going south and it scares the sheit out of the Bills brass.  Time for another blame the QB trick.  Don't get me wrong, I didn't and still don't think jp can be an NFL quarterback, but it's too late.  Most of you got your wish and took a wet behind the ears kid and threw him to the wolves with no apprenticing.  Surprise, he sucks!!

And the big 3 jp lovers/Bledsoe haters have finally shut up.

    F'n justice.

Why are you still here? Isn't there a Bledsoe worship board in Dallas somewhere. :flirt:

  12. How many people out there don't realize that in addition to the "New Topic" button, that there is also one titled "Reply". I know the Hot Pockets generation doesn't have time to read anybody elses threads, but give it a try. In addition to the Hot Pockets problem, we also have the LAMP'ers who believe that nobody will read their posts unless they are in the form of a new thread.

PS As long as I am on a rant..."mystery" subject lines SUCK. Not to single one person out, but a perfect example is the person who starting a thread recently, with the subject of "question...".

I'm done now. ;) Back to the 100,000 threads started on JP v. KH. Have a nice day.

  13. The show is called "Top 5 reasons you can't blame...[fill in the blank]". A good example would be "Top 5 reasons you can't blame Scott Norwood for the SB 25 loss". Give it a try when you get a chance. Two I saw last night were...

Top 5 reasons you can't blame the Falcons for trading Brett Favre

    and

Top 5 reasons you can't blame Art Modell for moving the Browns

  14. I don't care about the photos, only the games.  As someone who has never seen OJ run (aside from a few highlights), I'd LOVE to see an old game like that...

Count me in, if you can get it done. I was at that game and would love to see it again...good quality, average quality, bad quality, I don't care.

  15. Do you guys remember the days when we used to be good and went to Super Bowls?

Anyway, I have been meaning to post this for some time.

    464773

I've actually had something on my mind for about 20 or 30 years....What was the main reason Sattlers at 998 Broadway closed? I haven't been able to sleep as I wonder about this each and every night.

  16. "That sound you hear emanating from Buffalo was the J.P. Losman era officially reaching a crisis point. Can anybody be enjoying that rapid development more than Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe? Kelly Holcomb, it's your job to lose."

I'm not saying I agree with his statement I just posted it........what do you think?

Let's see how much DB "enjoys" playing the Eagles this week. :)
