    A team friendly deal as well. Mario loves the Blue collar nature of Buffalo and has been a fan favorite sense. I see no reason why your scenario wouldn't happen. He has the money he wants, now will sacrifice a little economically to keep the teammates (Dareus) they need to win.

    From a pure positional roster number standpoint... +1 FB (Felton) +2 QB (Taylor, Cassel) +1 WR (Harvin) -1 T (Hairston) -1 S (Searcy) -1 LB (Kiko) -2 TE (Lee, Chandler) Positions that were even (RB) were ommitted Clay and Spikes were also not counted in these numbers

    I think a role as a 4th receiver and special teamer is his niche. Idt the bills would benefit from experimenting with him on defense. He has amazing hands and runs great routes. I think he has found a nice role on this team.

    I see wht you're saying, they don't necessarily make sense, but I think they were good moves. Releasing Chandler is still a puzzle to me, other than that, I think they are focused on retaining and acquiring talent

    Trial by combat? Cassel will win the job IMO. He is mobile enough and will do well if he can avoid the silly mistakes. I picture a lot of throws between 0-2 yards from the LOS. They will set the QB up to succeed

    A QB in the 3rd would be wrong IMO. You could get a real contributor there. They acquired Cassel for a reason.

    I'm beginning to think the offense that they're crafting is not what many believe it is going to be. There are too many pieces that just don't seem to fit. Though it makes sense to look at Romans history in SF, I can't help but wonder if they're going for more of a spread/ west coast style

    I'm taking the lack on media attention as a sign tht he's being overlooked around the league. Pure speculation, I know that he could be in talks that we've not heard about, but at this point, no news is good news

    Sure, but keep in mind Clay still has to sign it. I could absolutely see him signing with Buffalo for less money

    I think Whaley's approach is smart but risky. If he goes elsewhere, who is available for depth?
