Joe Schobert traded to Steelers

Dude was a tackling machine a few years ago with the brownies. Lost track of him last year, just like everything else related to Jacksonville. Interested to see what the compensation is. Steelers really doubling down on the “old way” to win -
Sometimes it’s just routine for me at least. I find if I get in the routine of going, I can’t fall back asleep without it (middle of the night). Every so often when I fall into this cycle, I have to will myself to just hold it as long as possible and it slowly goes away.

Diet all the way. Except for Root Beer. That’s got to be a classic fountain bev. PSA: Wegmans carries this diet sparkling strawberry lemonade, only canned for some reason (no 2L). Do yourself a favor and go get some.

If I had to peg them, they’re more of a 4-2-5 -
Best 4th string QB in NFL - Texans
EmotionallyUnstable replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is the NFL’s end game with this? Goodell suspended Zeke 6 games for his gf filing charges of abuse, to which is he never charged. Yet 22 civil suits against Watson and not even moved to the commissioners exempt list? Is the NFL headed for a stand off with the Texans, waiting to see what the other guy’s move is in order to save face? I think it’s awful. -
I think @Alphadawg7 has a great point about Gilliam (FB) as an emergency TE. What does a 3rd TE offer you on your active roster? If they don’t play special teams, I’d rather them try to sneak a guy like Sweeney onto the PS and then have the option to promote him as needed given the current CoVID rules for PS elevations. Historically, they’ve carried 3 RBs and 1 FB, or 4 in total. Think back to Pat DiMarco and his ST contributions. I don’t see a way they carry, 4RBs AND a FB unless they really only have 2 TEs on the roster.

Upon another look, I think a question you’ll have to wrestle with in your scenario, if they don’t keep Taiwan Jones or DE Johnson, both whom have been praised as solid ST guys, are they really going to keep 11 DL, and only 6 LBs? You know how much they love their special teams In previous years, I’d say they’d be hanging onto developmental guys. Players that they took a chance on, or who they drafted and need time to groom. Reality is now upon us, and it’s time to win. I think they’re going to opt to send the “not ready” type players packing and hang onto guys who they know can fill a specific role (special teams, 3rd down pass rush, extra WR). They are in win now mode, IMO, and that means packing the 53 with guys who can play.

Preseason Trade Predictions
EmotionallyUnstable replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trades like this preseason are more common than you’d think -
I was looking at the potential 53, and for the first time in a LONG time, it seems relatively easy to figure out how the pieces fall into place. With the exception of maybe 6 roster spots, I think the top 46/47 guys are buttoned up. That being said, there seems to be a decent amount of young, players with potential that the Bills just can’t afford to keep. Pair this with Beane’s ability to turn roster bubble players into draft picks (see Teller, Wyatt) I imagine a potential trade is imminent. My guess is that it infiltrates the line. Guys I could see on the go: OL: Lamp, Bates, Boettger DL: Phillips, Zimmer, Johnson What ya got?
