I appreciate the sentiment and would have agreed ten years ago, but we are well past the point of no return with the left. On family members I do agree, obviously there is a long history there and things should always be talked through. Reasoning and having in person dialog with fully demoralized leftists however is a fools errand. Let alone in an online forum where you are solely using text to debate as happens here. Completely pointless. Kirk and TPUSA I do think is another exception in that they go to campuses and debate with young people before some of them are fully indoctrinated.

Oh I have most certainly researched what DEI is. It's Marxist. DEI is equality of outcomes. At the expense of all else. Kirk and non Marxists argue for equality of opportunity. Which is merit based, fair and decidedly not racist.

If you have currently black pilots at 6% of all pilots and an airline announces that their long term goal is to have 40% black pilots , it makes one question if the standards were relaxed in order to reach that goal. That's all he said. He uses the example of grades at Harvard to illustrate the point. We know that SAT/ACT scores for black students at Harvard were 30% lower than for white or Asian students. The standard for admission was different based on race. DEI programs promotes relaxed standards in order to achieve forced outcomes. Kirk argued that the only standard should be merit and not racial quotas.
