  1. To defend Dorsey, I saw some really nifty new misdirection run plays yesterday. I think he is continuing to build and innovate.
  2. The Bills have never been able to run a proper TE bootleg, almost ever. Maybe Jim Kelly days was the last consistent success on that play. Even when they run one now with “success,” it’s like a 5-yard gain.
  3. I guess I am in the minority. Dane is a very solid #2 CB. I would throw out the Vikings game because it was Jefferson, who does that to everyone. And the browns game was a little misleading because Cooper was in the slot a lot (and Brissett was making some crazy throws there too). Dane plays very tight coverage, plays the ball well, and is great in run support. I think he has had some spells of bad luck recently, or QBs making just ridiculous throws. The TD he gave up to Chalk was as perfect coverage you can get and just a perfect throw and catch. Moreover, if the pass rush were better recently, some of his recent flaws would be hidden too. I hope they stick with him. Once Tre and Elam are back, I can see a nice rotation there.
  4. Klein was huge. Very good in run sport and competent in coverage. Dodson is an utter disappointment, and isn’t even going to be tendered as an RFA after this season. Bernard is still a raw rookie, and so the jury is still out.
  5. wasn’t that Taron?
  6. haha— awesome!
  7. That thread had some very subtle differences from this one. This one appears to be quite nuanced.
  8. Bass was slightly off all day. Missed the PAT, nearly missed that GW FG, and I am almost sure he missed the first PAT (but the refs somehow didn’t see it).
  9. As much as I wanted the pats to lose, I was hoping for some bizarrely heroic and amazingly lucky catch against the Vikings on that 4th and 16.
  10. I hate when they don’t reward great plays like that based on some hyper-technical replay review. That was a total injustice to a guy who made a terrific catch.
  11. Umm… what in the? That was the most obvious catch. His hand was under the ball!
  12. Re the red zone turnover, that was a really good and someone flukey play by the LB on that RPO. Diggs was wide open too on that. I re-watched it and I guess the right read would have been for Josh to hand it off there. But I think the LB just made an insane play there.
  13. Re Cook, I have never seen a RB make a check Down look so hard. By the way, t-minus 20 years and counting for the Bills’ last successful RB screen. The one today to Cook was a dumpster fire.
  14. With some additional reflection, this was a wonderful and hard fought win. The defense stiffened when it had to, and has really solved most of the run D issues that plagued them. The pass D was up and down, but I attribute it to very good Lions receivers. On offense, the Bills were not their best with the injuries to the oline. But they strung together three really good second half drives (one ended in a flukey pick, but could have easily been a TD). And the GW FG drive was clutch. This lions team is scrappy. They won three in a row, and have now lost to Miami, Philly, Minn, Seattle, and Buff all By 1 score in each game.
  15. There is a pretty direct correlation between our pass rush and our DBs. We aren’t getting pressure with 4 anymore. That makes it harder for our DBs to cover.
  16. sort of the yips. He is trying to not throw interceptions, so not trusting himself. The best throw Of the game was his last one, when he just saw it and slung it. He needs to trust himself again.
  17. our DB’s are sticking their hand in and hitting the ball and the receivers still catch them through the pass defense. The DB barely touches Gabe and he drops it. Was disappointing for sure.
  18. watching the bills game today while being a lions’ fan. I’d say that tops that.
  19. I thought AJ Klein was huge today for us. Would have been a nightmare with Dodson out there.
  20. Cook was very frustrating today. Figured he would have surer hands and could make guys miss in space. I still don’t get why Hines can’t be out there on obvious passing downs.
  21. I thought he did okay. That TD he gave up was obscene. Perfect position and hand right by the ball. Just a great throw. The Lions receivers are good, and the Bills left their corners on islands more today.
  22. Lions can’t stay in man coverage. Allen will run for 15 yards per pop.
  23. I suspect Tre will Be out there like 10% of the time today.
  24. Given my dislike for McVay, I have to say that I am Glad Goff is looking good and Stafford terrible.
