  1. ...well, maybe not. Business Week Article BugMeNot Login: jessac718 cosmos
  2. Facts are not important when you have an agenda. Just make statements and hope nobody actually checks to see if they are true.
  3. That was not covered in my translation.
  4. Did you get bombed in a KFC?
  5. I see you have been taking comedy lessons from Tom.
  6. In an attempt to understand this: It is the will of Allah to pray to Allah. It is also the will of Allah to blow up said people while they are praying to Allah, all the while blaming the infidels for causing this servant of Allah to blow up the aforementioned worshipers of Allah. Makes sense. Just one question, though: if they keep blowing up worshipers of Allah, who will be left to "do the will of Allah?"
  7. Happy Birthday, Rock!!
  8. Happy Birthday to a fellow member of the 1969 Club!!
  9. When the mosque was bombed, I wonder how many Koran's were desecrated?
  10. Now, you are learning... We just need to find a way to blame DeLay and Halliburton for this and we will have completed the trifecta.
  11. Get with the program, Tom. It is Bush's fault he doesn't have authority to do anything about frivolous lawsuits in Canada.
  12. You laugh, but it is not out of the realm of possibility for the MoveOn.org whackos to attempt to pin this on Bush.
  13. Nope. There are people far more deserving than Reich.
  14. You need to forgive her. Her party is spiraling out of control and she needs to desparately cling to anything for hope.
  15. Wasn't Deep Throat "outed" a couple of times already? It seems like a yearly occurance. I agree with you. I will wait until I hear confirmation.
  16. <sigh> Big picture, Chris. Big picture.
  17. You had me until you brought in the UN thingy. Until a MAJOR overhaul is accomplished in the UN, the UN needs to stay as far away from this as possible. Hell, after 13 (yes THIRTEEN) resolutions, they finaly got around to defining what terrorism is. Any rational person would have concentrated on defining terrorism first so that it can be properly addressed, but the UN needed 12 additional resolutions before they even addressed this very basic concept. They obviously have no clue how to address issues of this magnitude (just look at the latest NPT review conference for additional evidence) and should stick to humanitarian aid projects. They can't handle that either, but it is a start. They can then work their way up to smaller conflicts.
  18. The problem I see with military tribunals with sealing sensitive info, is that the political operatives will use it against the current administration. They will start crying "they are keeping information from us. What are they trying to hide? Why is this administration so secretive? blah...blah...blah." While the idea is a good one, there is no way the media, opponents of the military in general, political operatives, etc will allow it to happen. Any time you announce that person X was tried and convicted and you refuse to release the information that convicted them, you are opening yourself up for cries of "Foul!" There is no way, IMO, it would work in our current political climate and the Hot Pockets mentality bred by the media.
  19. Gee, it is hard to imagine why we have the politicians we do, when the electorate says things like this.
  20. Well, we have had enough fun here.
  21. McCain does not stand a chance of getting the Republican nomination. My early pick for the Reps would be Allen (if Rice does not run). For the Dems, Kerry thinks he has the nomination wrapped up. Yeah, OK. I see Clinton as the nominee. Ried wants it bad. Pelosi wants it, but does not stand a chance. Expect Clinton, Kerry and Ried as the top three serious candidates. Clark will run again, but will fail as badly as the first time around. As of right now, Crippen will not be running again. I am focused on Party stuff and will stick with that. I am working my way up the ladder and am happy with my progress.
  22. That is because they do not need to brag.
  23. I read the post differently. It did not seem to be based on jealousy, but on pity.
  24. Funny, getting a high school education was so much easier when all you wanted was for other people to pay for it ('burbs should pay to have inner city kids educated in their schools). Now, when it comes out of your pocket, you want to apply conditions to it.
