In-season, they always say that. He's a Jersey guy, I know that too. However, he is in position to demand big-time money from a program that is among the elite of NCAA Football. He has roots in Miami, is well-thought of by high school coaches in Florida, and has a recruiting base in the state already. He is young, energetic, and brings a brashness and enthusiasm that is definitely missing in Miami with Larry Coker.
We will see. Just because he says he's not interested in a job that isn't even open yet doesn't mean anything. He'll definitely have the opportunity to turn it down. If he does, good for him. If he takes it, good for him.
He has stated numerous times he has no interest. He just signed a 7 year deal, and word has it RU is already adding more money to it.
His wife does not want to move again (which she has stated publicly), and Schiano already turned down the Miami job before he left for RU.
Also, a recruit who I am not going to mention stated he asked GS if he were leaving, Schiano told him absolutely not, that he's here to stay and RU can win a NC. One thing about GS is, is that he's brutally honest, and would not lie to a kid.

I've been just the opposite lately. The NFL has been REALLY hard to take. Parity is good, but you can't figure the league out. I've been feeling this way for three or four years now. Sullivan actually summed it up fairly nicely in today's Buffalo News.
Some of the highlights:
So I woke up here Monday morning, groggy and disoriented, wondering if I had only dreamed that Peerless Price made a big play, and asking myself, "What the heck are we to make of this Bills team, 10 games into the season?"
Then I skimmed the standings and realized that all over the league, people are asking the same question. Is this football team good, bad or average? Is it a budding contender or a maddening tease, just another inconsistent team in the jumble of mediocrity that is today's NFL?
After Sunday's action, there were 17 teams within a game of .500 - that is, with four to six victories. That's more than half the league. It includes the teams that played in last year's Super Bowl, Seattle and Pittsburgh. Cincinnati is 5-5. I almost fell off the chair when I saw that San Francisco is 5-5, too.
17 teams within 1 game of .500? That's crazy. In my opinion, every team in the NFL sucks, and the trick is figuring out who is going to suck less that Sunday. The very average Pittsburgh Steelers put four good games together and won the Super Bowl last year as the final team to qualify from their conference.
I know, that's why a playoff needs to take place in college, I agree. But there's something about the pagentry and excitement of all college football that I don't feel for any NFL game outside of the Bills. I find myself watching a lot more college ball than pro ball.
I agree 100%.

Bypassing the Cobalt debate - for the moment -
...An Impala SS with the 305 hp V-8 would mark you as a Man Among Georgians!

But for something sporty and relatively inexpensive - have you considered Hyundai's Tiburon? The GT V-6 version has good scoot and nice torque. Miniscule back seat, true, but it is a hatchback with good luggage space (14.8 cu. ft.), and much more with the rear seat folded. It has side airbags, 4-wheel discs w/ABS, all the power stuff including heated side mirrors (a big plus IMO).
The automatic is a 4-speed, but with manual shift capability. A 5 speed manual is standard. And Hyundai's generous 5/60,000 total vehicle warranty, and their 10/100,000 powertrain coverage. Unless there is war on the Korean peninsula...

They usually sell for at least 2K off of list.
A downside is the wide, R-rated 215/45R-17 tires. Fine for dry, but questionable for heavy rain and snow. But Tire Rack likely sells a 4 tire/wheel package of some inclement-weather skins with decent dry and wet performance for about $500...and with two sets, you will get a lot of miles before replacement.
The Tiburon is such a chicks car (I know, insert Fit joke here).

I got "approved" from some local bank for 3.9% over 60 months. When I called to verify it, I wasn't actually approved (grrrr!). My next lowest one was 6.9% (word of advice...stay away from Capital One!)
On the Lending Tree sheet however, it said I was approved. I brought that in, and knowing they wouldn't verify it, threatened to go with that bank unless they beat it.
They did.

Anyone aware of a guy named Domenic Natale?
He is a QB, and transferred to Rutgers. he had to sit out this year, and has three years left of eligibility. For what I've heard/briefly seen in practice, this kid has a great arm and is accurate.
Considering Mike Teel sucks, we need a QB. Any news/info would be greatly appreciated.

Iit's actually a good thing that when a team beats us now, they feel the need to rush the field. That says a lot for RU.
The thing that pisses me off is, that we're so much better than Cinci. We came out cocky and flat, which is never a good blend. I would have rather lost to Louisville or WV.

Where's Rutgers? They only have 1 loss and...
JUST KIDDING, JUST KIDDING.

well judging by most people here it goes as follows.
ESPN is a joke---except when they something positive about the Bills or Sabres
Salisbury (or insert an anchor or expert here) has an agenda agaisn't the Bills or Sabres---except when they agree with my POV
Never watch ESPN---but catch every friggen show when they mention the Bills or Sabres

So effing true...

Yeah, as much as I respect Cincy and his views, I have to depart from him on this one. I have yet to read anything that would compel me even a little bit to take that thign for a test drive.
I went practical with my last car, so I really want to get something that at least has SOME "cool factor", you know? I can appreciate a car that you can always rely on to get you from 'A' to 'B', I just want to be able to head up to the North Georgia Mountains and have fun with it.
How much did you want to spend?
The Civic Si is a cool car. the mazda 3 is good, along with the Mazda 6.
If you're looking for an SUV type car, the Honda Element is nice, not too expensive, and gets great gas mileage for an SUV.
Are you going to finance? If so, here'a a helpful tip:
Get approved from lendingtree.com. Print the sheet out, and bring it to the dealer. Whip it out after a negotiated price, and tell them this is what you were offered. They want the loan, so they will definately beat it.
Also, do you have AAA? They have a car buying program. My fiancees parent ssaved almost 4k on a Toyota Rav-4.

IIRC, Edmonds made a comment about it to the effect of, "nice effort, but not ready to compete with the leaders in it's class." I may have that mixed up with another vehicle, so I'll double check.
My stance on American cars is basically the same as it is on foreign manufacturers: If they make a car that I feel is the best fit for my needs, I'll buy it. My favorite hobby is home audio and home theater. I'm in the forums all the time advising people to avoid purchasing Asian speakers because there are so many American made and/or American based companies to buy from with products that are as good or better for the same money. I don't feel the car market is at that point. And while I don't profess to know WHY that is - at least for the sort of car that I'm looking for - I just can't spend this much money for a car that I'm not excited about, particularly when I keep my cars for 5-7 years or longer.
Of course, being of German heritage I tend to gravitate toward all things German in lieu of a better American option....but I've avoided the German autos too for the same reasons I've not been more wallet-friendly toward the American products.
EDIT: "The 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt is a big improvement over its Cavalier predecessor, but it's still well behind the class leaders in handling dynamics, interior design, seat comfort and materials quality." -Edmunds.com
I drive Cobalt's for work and they're pieces of crap. it feels cheap, everything rattles, and the gas mileage blows. We've also had several problems with the vehicles, and they are all brand new!
Honda or Toyota my friend. Trust me.

GDMF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For all of the times to lay down!!!
Rutgers couldn't beat a pop-warner team tonight.
smokin...accept my sincere apology.
-
And yet I hear how Rutgers doesn't play anyone.

We deserve #3, beause we put up 50+ on Howard.

-
Chris Spielman said it best during the BC/Maryland game:
If Rutgers wins out, they deserve a shot in the NC game, beating a #3 and #8 team. he said if it doesn't happen, then why even have this BCS stuff.
I knew I always liked him.

I can't believe she's engaged to Billy Zane (that a-hole from Titanic).
WTF!

Also, check out the movie Survival Island (it also goes be the name three).
it's a low budget thing but she waltzes around half naked almost the whole movie.

Keeping my Rutgers homerism out of this...
The way to beat RU...They are xtremely fast. Lightening fast. Probably one of the fastest defenses I've ver witnessed. If you can stop their blitzing and pass rush, you can throw on them.
That's why i was worried about Brohm. he's got a cannon, and I had seen him make quick decisions with the ball.
WVU on the other hand is a Slaton/White run team. Rutgers has the speed and discipline to contain them. RU has converted LB's who are their DT's.
In all honesty, I was a lot more worried about Louisville than I am WVU.

If Rutgers gets past Cincinnati they have zero chance of beating West Virginia. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cincinnati knock them off. Most teams will have an off week following a huge win. They benefited from facing Louisville a week after they played West Virginia. Now they will be the ones who have to come off a huge win, and play a good team on the road. Cincinnati is improving every week. They play excellent run defense, and have played well against good teams all year. It will be the last home game they play this season. I knew once the line was released it would plummet so I grabbed Cincinnati +7.5 Sunday night.
You're on crack. There is absolutely zero chance RU has a letdown against Cincy. Zero.
Rutgers will stop WVU also. Their defense is faster than WVU's offense.

This is going to sound so cliche, but it's a Jersey thing.
I work for the athletic department. He's not going anywhere.
