This is something you should do every day.
Plates will be noon Friday 9/7. Still deciding which location, although it sounds like those with a preference are leaning toward downtown so far.
What the hell is going in in Norwalk??? Look at some of the other stories on the right-hand side there. There's a hot-for-teacher article, a teenage butt-grabber, guys killing wife's dogs, a guy propositioning 14 year olds for sex...
Holy Crap!
One of the plusses of running out of the "wildcat" is that you don't have a QB (who is basically useless after handing off) on the field. So in essence you have an extra blocker. I always have felt that you have to at least show a willingness to throw out of that formation so that teams don't just put 8 or 9 in the box. If you telegraph run by never throwing from that formation, you really aren't gaining much because that extra blocker has to deal with an extra DB who doesn't have to worry about the pass.
McGee is on the IR using the new exception rule.
Easley is cut but has PS eligibility so if he's still around tomorrow he's back.
I kept Moore and cut Gilbert (keeping Edwards). Gilbert is on PS if he's eligible & available.
I'm going through my own round of cuts today and this is my last one. Note that this will be a "temporary" cut, as I am keeping Thigpen for at least a game or two until Tarvaris Jackson is able to run the team in the event of an emergency.
That being said I think this cut has to be Carder or McKillop. And I'm not sure McKillop can go on the PS. I don't want to waive Carder. Morrison has looked like he's lost a step or 2 during this preseason but after Barnett I have no other veteran linebacker.
OK - I talked myself into cutting McKillop.
Thoughts?
