I think the philosophy was tag one and negotiate with the other. If true it was much smarter to tag Byrd. As far as the tag price goes, all OL are lumped together so they'd end up paying elite LT money to a guard. I actually see this as a win-win - they buy time with Byrd and can be more aggressive with Levitre.

The few training camp sessions I attended he got the ball ALOT - I was sure they were going to put him into the offense more. I never know if that doesn't happen because he wasn't reliable in practices or if they just never put it in the game plan.

Yep I swapped flights to go to San Antonio.

Couple things: 1) Thigpen is an unrestricted FA. He's not on the team any more. We can go back to pretending he doesn't exist. B) Just because Fitz, TJax, and Corp are the 3 QBs on our roster as of February 15th, what makes ANYONE think that's permanent for Opening day 7 months from now?
