We need a top 5 defense to be in any consideration to take the next step with Tyrod. Enough with the middleing QB already. Whaley has been GM long enough, he needs to make a bold move up in the draft and make a name for himself. He finds a franchise QB and he has finally matured as a GM. If not, he is just treading water. All the linebackers, DT's, running back, reciever picks in the world arent going to cement his legacy. Only a true franchise QB is gonna do that. I dont care about his presser, i dont care about the draft position gained by losing this game. Move up and get the best QB, or just go home. Go big or go home.

Orton was a 10 year vet. Comparing him to a guy in his first year. EJ was just learning to read an NFL defense. Orton was like watching grass grow then quit on the team. At least EJ had a big arm and took shots downfield. Then theres what Watkins said about EJ hittin ya in the back of the helmet if you arent paying attention, the other day. Im interested to see if EJ has made the slightest progress in accuracy and ability to read a defense. Even if its a glorified preseason game. I think Whaley is too, i think thats why he is getting the start, not as an audition for the job next year. Wait, 2015? Isnt that when he only played the first play of the game in one of those? Cos that was a weird descision.

Do you remember watching Kyle Orton in that Nate Hackett offense? It was garbage. We got to 9 wins almost purely on defense that year. Anyways... I bet the Eejgster looks good today.

I honestly believe he is done here in Buffalo, and this start is Whaley showcasing him as a show of goodwill for him to land on his feet with another team via free agency. Hes been crucified on this board for no logical reason, but has been a professional and has conducted himself with class and deserves a legit chance to show what he can do. Whether its a career backup, or a legit chance to compete for a starting job.

I dont think he sucks. I think he ran the two minute hurry up offense decently. I think he can score points in the offense. I dont think he hangs his head like a beaten dog, when things are going bad, like taylor did in the Oakland and Pittsburg game. I think he has SOME ofthe skills needed to be a pocket passer, hes big, has arm strength, has mobility. I also think he has had accuracy issues and has looked awkward running the ball and taking hits at times. Basically a raw talent that never got a feel for the offense. But again, 14 games. Ready for the scrap heap? Idk, maybe. I googled "qb busts" earlier this morning and he was on a list of 10 biggest busts since 2007, so idk.

I dont know what a BF4E is,i just think its early to give up on a player with 14 starts.
