  1. I'll second Mother Love Bone and Blind Melon. Shame they both had junkies for vocalists. EDIT: BillsFanNC mentions another below in Carbon Leaf, they're pseudo-local, from Richmond, VA. The best band whose name you've never heard - And "echo echo" is by far and away their best album.
  2. What game did you watch Sunday? The skipped passes occured when he was unable to step into his passes. A hot-read WR not having the presence to break off a route when blitzed means the QB has no where to go with it. Bledsoe has shown confidence to put the ball up where he thinks his WRs can make a play on it. If the WR isn't open, do you wan't him to throw an interception instead? Pointing the finger at the QB exclusively is overly simplistic. Sure, he's been less than perfect, but football's a team game, and in the real world your PS2 Madden-derived comprehension of the nuances of football betrays you.
  3. Call me crazy, but I'm "for" anyone wearing a charging bison on a red helmet. So yeah, I'm "for" Bledsoe.
  4. By your post it I can see you aren't familiar with the issue, it has nothing to do with accountability, it has to do with budgets. If you have a friend who teaches, ask him about "No Child Left Behind." I'm sure they'll be happy to share their thoughts on this program and it's subsequent funding, or lack thereof.
  5. Can anyone explain to me the fascination with bobbleheads? Do people really spend money on them?
  6. Thank goodness for "No Child Left Behind" and all of that promised funding
  7. You can blame GG for my presence here. A couple of his friends from college are very good friends of ours, and we attended the first TBD Tailgate as a member of the illustrious "Gerry's Kids." Nary a moment passes that GG doesn't rue that day
  8. I didn't notice that while watching it Sunday. Whether the whistle's blown too soon or not, the plays dead, and it sounds like they couldn't have awarded that TD even if it was reviewed and there was "conclusive" evidence his forward progress hadn't been stopped and he reached crossed the goalline. Good observation.
  9. I'd love to take credit sid, but that was MarkVI with the stogies. I was the guy that when you pulled in asked if you were ICE. Little did I know the infamous ICE man was standing right next to me! But you know how this place works, they lose and they suck, they win and, well, they didn't win by enough - or they're going to the Super Bowl.
  10. RJ would be en route to Canton if he only put the foil on. Great avatar!
  11. My two cents: The replay did not appear to show conclusively one way or the other. Whatever the ruling on the field, I think it would have stood. Just so happens, the ruling on the field didn't go our way.
  12. I'm with you Tolstoy. In the TBD preseason prediction contest I had them going 0-2 and coming back to beat New England. So far I'm 2 for 2 looking to go 3 for 3. The Bills will beat the Pats.
  13. Guilty as charged. Local news, Bills games, and Sabres' games. I try to avoid espn. Too much "e" and not enough "s" for my tastes. Makes me miss CNNSI.
  14. I didn't realize that people actually watch other people play cards on TV... What's next on espn, the International Uno Games?
  15. I re-read it and realized the unintended tone and deleted my post while you were typing your response. BTW, Hogboy isn't anywhere close to funny.
  16. Translation: Blah blah blah, DB didn't put up enough points, but it really is the defense's fault. So pardon my confusion, but is it the D's fault or DB's fault? And in which one of those universes does your self-contradicting post make sense?
  17. Listening now: "Oh I don't think that's something we've even thought about yet. Our best to chance to win is with Drew Bledsoe, but he needs the other guys to play at a high level, he can't do it alone."
