  1. Haha good point. For More commercials maybe?.. lol
  2. Josh didn't play well yesterday, but the guy also has 0 help. I can remember 5 plays at the top of my head- 1.Hollins not catching/tracking that deep ball 2. Kincaid drop on the sidelines 3. Kincaid breaks his route late and pass goes through his hands 4. Coleman gets hit in the head cause he's not looking 5. MVS can't catch the ball on the 3rd and 10. Not only does that crush the stats, but they are also drive killers snd it's tough to get in a rhythm. (And not to even mention the lack of separation from his receivers) I am not absorbing Josh as he didn't play well, but his players also got to help him out a bit
  3. Yep. I think another thing is the personnel. When they are passing on 1st down, it's usually off of play action when Anderson, Knox, Hollins and sometimes even Gilliam are eligibles This is why I'm not a big fan of the 6th offensive lineman and "role blocking wide receivers", because when you want to bake in play action off of those traditional run looks, the eligibles you have in are very bad to put it mildly
  4. Hmm- that is definitely very interesting. I appreciate you bringing up those statistics. But ya i agree- It's crazy that they struggle on 1st down especially when Josh Allen is historically a great play action passer. (I'm assuming a lot of the passes are play action on 1st down)
  5. Today was both. Josh was off, but ya it's definitely an issue with the receivers not creating separation. Im the biggest Josh supporter, but he missed some passes he usually makes in his sleep today
  6. Ya he has a right hamstring injury
  7. The big question is- Why the hell are the safeties playing the goal line when Houston only needed 5 yards... lol. McDermott will never learn from 13 seconds
  8. It's crazy in how many crunch time moments that a McDermott coached team has blunders. 13 seconds Denver, too many men on the field. Today, only 10 guys on the field. The list goes on
  9. Mack Hollins definitely would have made that catch Lamb made..
  10. It's definitely both. The receivers are not good at all, but Brady also calls a predictable and vanilla game
  11. This is where I'm at. Play action, easy button passes to get it to more 2nd and mediums/shorts. These 1st down runs aren't going to work as teams are just going to continue to stack the box until Brady shows he is willing to throw more on 1st
  12. I definitely agree with that. The issue in my opinion though is he is "running" to try to set up the pass too often. I think he needs to switch that to "pass" to set up the run, cause teams are just gonna keep stacking the box on 1st downs. I know easier said than done as the personnel at WR is not good, but he has to change things up IMO
  13. Ya they are super different but both bad IMO Dorsey was a wild man who produced a lot of chunk plays , but struggled with scoring when inside the 40 and with turnovers Brady is super conservative and predictable, but doesn't "lose" the game with turnovers and seems to call a game like he bets on the under by trying to run the game dry
  14. Brady and the wide receivers were the main reason the bills lost today IMO Like does Joe Brady have James cook in fantasy or something? Mix in a play action pass on 1st down for the love of god
  15. Is there anything more nauseating than seeing Anderson come in on 1st down.. with Gilliam and Mack Hollins in.. And you know without a doubt the bills are running the ball . And then they do and get stuffed like 80 percent of the time? Lol
  16. I am not calling for more passes. Im calling for more passes/play action passes on 1st downs which I think objectively would benefit the offence The throws are on 2nd and long and 3rd and long because our OC runs up the gut for no gain on 1st down every time. Which sets up obvious passing downs, which sets up Houston going to their blitz packages, which causes complete dysfunction lol
  17. I curse at my TV every time I see Anderson in on 1st down with Gilliam and Hollins🤦‍♂️ Lol
  18. No you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. A lot of people were saying McDaniel shouldn't have put Tua back in the game because it was "the right thing to do". My point was if a neurologist clears the QB to play, any coach is going to trust the neurologist and put the QB back in the game , without question
  19. Open running backs? I highly doubt Houston was giving him a lot of easy check downs. Houston plays a lot of cover 1, man coverage, single high safety So usually the game plan to beat that is to throw outside the numbers. Josh was off today, and the receivers couldn't separate. I doubt it's because he was ignoring a ton of easy check downs based on how Houston plays defence and based on the blueprint that's out against the bills offence. (Make the receivers win outside)
  20. Two main issues I see personally. 1. Lack of receivers getting open. (Especially with Shakir being out) 2. Predictable play calling- I counted 9 plays in a row where I guessed correctly when the bills were going to pass vs run. Like how many times are we going to run on 1st down? Joe Brady can definitely do a better job with scheme/play calling, but Teams are going to continue to dare the bills receivers to win on the outside and if they can't? I would say for the most part they are figured out in my opinion
  21. Bills would have a Super Bowl if BB was the coach, IF Beane was in charge of the personnel. Belichick actually knows how to slow down Mahomes and good QBs in big games, McDermott doesn't
  22. Joe Marino was a pretty big jerk to the locked on houston guy on the crossover. He got super defensive when the guy said the Bills haven't really beaten anyone good. After that, Joe was trying to flex on him all podcast in terms of saying the bills were basically a superior team. I don't know if anyone else got that impression as well
  23. This was exactly my point when people were criticizing McDaniel for letting Tua come back in in that 2022 game against the Bills Every coach in the NFL is going to put their QB back in if he "clears" protocol. It's that simple
  24. You're asking Joe Brady to throw on 1st down? That's a huge ask... I 100 percent agree with you
