  1. Here is the scenario and you tell me what is more likely. Odds aside and results aside. 1. The Bills need 1 yard to convert the 4th and 1 on the Colts 40. If they get 1 yard, they need another 15-20 yards to kick a 37-42 yard field goal for basically the win. Or even say 25 more yards to make it an easier field goal try. 2. The Bills punt. Need to force Indi to punt without them picking up 2 first downs. If they get 2 or more first downs, the game ends in a tie or even a loss if Indi continues to march. And then assuming they stop them, they would start at their own 25-35 with their 3rd string quarterback, with awful weather conditions, and have to go about 50 yards with 2:30 and 0 timeouts... You are actually saying number 2 gave the Bills a better chance to win yesterday? Results aside, and odds aside. Because that was roughly the scenario Mcd was given when wondering if he should punt or go for it.
  2. And that's assuming the defence stops the Colts as well lol
  3. A tie is not a positive result. It's fair to assume I think they are going to lose in New England. If they tied that game yesterday and finished 8-7-1, that is not good enough for the playoffs. I can almost guarantee that. 9-7 might not even be good enough, but that's what they would have to be if they want even a shot at the playoffs. A tie would have pretty much ended their season unless they won at Foxboro which is almost an impossible task for the Bills.
  4. I agree, it would be better for the Pats to win. The winner of the Pats Steelers game next week is going to get home field throughout the playoffs, so even if NE loses tonight it really won't mean that much. Just makes more sense for the dolphins to lose
  5. I think I'm one of the few people who hate the dolphins worse than the Pats. I still despise the Pats and they are my 2nd most hated team, but just something about the dolphins and the history with Marino makes me hate them the most
  6. He's awful. The only one I think who's worse than him is hochuli
  7. That would be the luck of the bills eh. Finish 10 and 6, win at new england and still miss the playoffs lol
  8. And Tennessee probably has the other. Bills will have to win out, which means winning at New England
  9. Its true. Half the calls in this game shouldn't have been made. It just ruins the game
  10. This is why I enjoyed the snow game today. Minimal flags. Officials let them play. This game now is just awful
  11. Its so obvious collingsworth is going for the Steelers
  12. Shouldn't have been. Was a bad call like usual
  13. Seems like the AFC is getting stronger and stronger. Pats, Steelers are the obvious favourites. (More so the Pats) But now the chargers, Jaguars and ravens are playing lights out
  14. I honestly give up trying to convince people. Some people have it drilled in their mind that McD is a god and that it was a great decision to punt because they "won the game".
  15. Man everything wasn't riding on that one play lol. You are making it sound like it was 4th and 10 from their own 20. It was 4th and 1 from the Colts 40. If they don't get it, stop the colts and you still get the ball back at the 20 yard line with plenty of time... It really wasn't that big of a risk to go for it
  16. What do you mean don;t worry about the tie? You understand that if they tied, they would basically be eliminated. Right? That's the main thing I think you are missing here. If the tie helps them then yes punting is smart. But the tie is virtually the same as a loss
  17. Lol We'll agree to disagree. I think the bills lose or tie that game 75 percent of the time if he punts. Today, the 25 percent went their way. Doesn't mean it's the right decision to me. But like I said, we'll agree to disagree
  18. No. That was just an awful decision to start him against the chargers lol
  19. Possibly. He's a very conservative coach. And even if it is Brissett. That was the easiest pitch and catch ever. McD got very lucky today
  20. If Brissett hits a wide open Ty Hilton on 2nd and 10 would you be saying the same thing?
  21. Some people just can't understand that
  22. I'm well aware of the rules bud. You were so confident the defence was going to stop them after the punt, so if the bills got a field goal in that situation, I'm sure you would agree it would be almost impossible for the Colts to get 3 points back... Right?
  23. I don't. I think they got very very lucky on multiple plays. Getting one yard on 4th and 1 and then picking up another first down to set yourself up in field goal range seems a lot more realistic with less factors involved to win. Opposed to you know,.. stopping the other team and then completing a hail Mary with your 3rd string quarterback to 4th receiver in a massive Snow storm...
  24. Put it this way. I strongly disagree with the decision to punt. And that has nothing to do with the odds ESPN had or whatever. If you agree with it then that's your opinion and fair enough. But don't say it was the correct decision just because they won the game..
  25. You're missing the point bud. I'm saying just because they won the game, doesn't mean it was the correct decision
