  1. I think it's a little bit of both for sure
  2. Ok. And that ranks where amongst linebackers or how does that stack up against an average linebacker who played a full season? And now you aren't going to include forced fumbles or fumble recoveries? Cause he had a goose egg there so the math wouldn't change on that one for him , but it would on any other reasonable linebacker
  3. Where's your link for the stat you said to me?
  4. There's no different hill buddy. what's the context of those plays? How does that stack up against other linebackers? and if you have that stat handy in which you said 12, please send it my way and link it here
  5. My point is he makes little to no impact plays. 0 sacks. 1 INT. 7 tackles for loss. 0 forced fumbles. 0 fumble recoveries. That 100 percent reflects what I'm saying . I don't even know how it's humanly possible to play that many snaps in the middle of the defence and have those numbers
  6. 12?? LOL how in the world has he made 12 impact plays by the metrics I used? So him breaking up a 3rd down stop when they are up 30 points, I'm guessing that would count as one then?😂
  7. What game changing plays does Edmunds make? Besides going off the theory "he takes away the middle passing lanes", with absolutely no quantifiable number to it or anything to back that up. I am saying impact plays- like tackle for losses on 3rd/4th downs. Sacks. Interceptions. Forced fumbles. Fumble recoveries. Key 3rd or 4th down break ups. The only play I can ever remember him making that was impact, was a 4th down tipped pass against the Bucs.
  8. I don't think I pivoted as I addressed your point saying that I agree that everyone had a bad game against the chiefs. But was making the point on top of it that Edmunds never makes game changing plays and gave the example of the Micah Hyde. But ya fair enough, we'll agree to disagree on Edmunds
  9. They all had a bad game. But the "all pro" safeties also made game changing impact plays all season. Just look at Micah Hyde's play against New England in the playoffs. Edmunds does nothing well. You are allowed to have responsibilities and make plays outside of those responsibilities... just look at basically any good player on defence for any team lol. Edmunds is just straight up not that guy
  10. Yep. And he gets manipulated by the quarterbacks eyes so easy in the pass game. Mahomes just toys with him
  11. The stats show he is not an impact player at all and the eye test reflects that perfectly. Watch the KC game and look at Mahomes deceive him with his eyes all game long. Nothing to do with individual stats there. (Except for the fact he couldn't make a game impact play of course)
  12. 0 sacks. 0 forced fumbles. 0 fumble recoveries. 1 int. 7 tackles for loss. And gets toyed with by the Qbs eyes in the pass game. Ya no thanks on the extension.
  13. He's a good to very good QB, but ya he's not elite yet. But remember he's only in year 2 and missed over half his rookie year with his acl tear. He will be a force to reckon with in the AFC for a long time IMO
  14. Little bit of both. the media for sure, but his outfits walking into the stadium? He was begging for the "joe cool" attention.
  15. I would have "liked your comment" but since you put a disagree on mine I think I'll refrain 😂 But ya I agree with you, it was a good game for sure
  16. I'm happy the bengals lost. Burrow was getting way too full of himself.
  17. I respectfully disagree. I don't see any traits in him that scare me. I guess we will see
  18. He's so "meh". Their defence was by far the main reason they went on a run. He played "ok" against a lot of bad teams. The one good team he faced during their run, (the Titans) he was horrendous and they got blown out
  19. Not regularly. But it's impossible to say if he hasn't taking over on some drives during the game.
  20. Again though, Mcd is a leader. When things go bad, he is going to take ownership. When things go good, he is going to give praise so his buddy can get the credit and potentially get a head coaching job. There certainly looked like times this year where Mcd was involved in the defence as he had the play call sheet in is hands. We never will really know, just like we never will really know what happened on the KC kickoff as his response was "we didn't execute".
  21. I think I know what game you're referring too, the 2018 home opener against the chargers as McDermott openly admitted it. But How do you know that MCD hasn't pulled the playbook from him more out of curiosity? I think with all the head coaching rumours swirling around Frazier the last couple years, I don't think MCD would openly say he pulled it from him again, as he is rooting for his friend to get a head coaching job. (Which would be a bad look on Frazier, if MCD said he pulled the playbook) Not saying you're wrong, I think it's just hard to tell. (unless you actually have proof, Which you may)
  22. This is kind of where I'm at. Or the defence , go make a stop in OT.... Bengals had no problem overcoming that
  23. I'm not sure of the other teams 7 round picks but I think it's fair to say bills draft class was a bit underwhelming. (It's still super early of course) Groot- Started off good then hit the rookie wall a bit Basham- Inactive half the time. Made some plays when he was in. Brown- Probably the most exciting. Lots of highs but definitely some lows Doyle- Found a bit of a role at the end of the year but ultimately didn't do a lot. Stevenson- Injured and then inactive for a lot of the time. Wildgoose- Plucked off the practice squad. Anderson- Plucked off the practice squad. So ultimately their rookies didn't contribute a lot. Brown probably had the most important role. I am optimistic about Groot and Brown for the future. For the others I'm not so sure
  24. Haha yep exactly. I was being sarcastic with my post. Definitely agree with you👍
  25. Yes sir, well said. Agreed 100 percent
