If they don’t get it, that TD beats them. The D was praying for a turnover all day, otherwise Baltimore didn’t punt the whole day. They had to take the points after failing to get the TD on 3rd.
By kicking the field goal, McDermott is basically saying he's trusting his defence.
But it just contradicts his actions.
If they don't get it, he doesn't trust them to stop a 98 yard drive in 3 minutes?

If you turn the ball over are you really the better team?
The ravens shot themselves in the foot. If you want to make the argument that the ravens lost the game with mistakes , fine.

Disaster? Tie game with 1:30 left and two timeouts? You’re makin it sound like the ravens would’ve walked off on that 2 point conversion lol
It would have been a massive letdown if you let the ravens come back to tie it, when all you needed was 2 yards to ice the game

Not being obnoxious, what did Johnson's do today? I did not notice him like the other two. I am ok with being informed what I missed.
Might be an unpopular take - But I think Taron has had a pretty bad season . At least for his standards

The Ravens led for under 6 minutes in the first quarter and then never led again. You can't control the game when you are behind for 90% of it.
Semantics, you know what I mean. 416 yards to 273 Baltimore out gained them
If you came out of this game saying the bills were the better team and turnovers weren't the deciding factor, I don't know what to tell ya.
Im not complaining as im thrilled with the win. But let's call a spade a spade here-

I thought about a Crown and Coke for a post game celebratory drink. Went with Vodka and Tonic instead.
Haha you're a wild man, love it 💪
You were thinking crown royal - You Canadian as well, or just like that particular brand?

I edited the above post, so if you don't see that, and if you like rye, seek out Johnnie Walker High Rye. It's not blue label but much smoother and less smoky than black label, and should be in the $40 range (i found a case on closeout at $10 a bottle, like finding a winning lottery ticket)
Beauty, thanks buddy! I'll check that out for sure

But we were up 5 and a chip shot fg. Baltimore can only tie in that situation. They need to be perfect. TD and the 2 pt conversion. So not stopping them wasn't a death sentence. Especially up by 8.
Not getting it means Baltimore has to go the length for the field. Not easy. But their game plan changes. They would have likely played it so the clock didn't have much time left. And a TD puts them ahead by two. With Allen then needing to go the length of the field with little to no time left.
I know, I hear you.
Im not saying it's a horrific decision to kick the field goal.
I just would rather put the game in Josh's hands. If you don't get it, then make them go 98 yards.

Im not saying they kicked it hoping Andrews has a bad drop. Just saying it’s hard enough to get a TD, but now you’re making them get a TD and a 2 pt conversion. Puts Ravens in a position where not only do they have to do the hard work of getting a long TD, but also they have only one shot at a 2pt conversion leaving no room for error.
And we are at home with a defense that has already forced 3 turnovers.
For me at 2.5 yards out, it’s a no brainer you take the points there knowing that even if your D allows the score and conversion you are at worst looking at OT, but also likely going to still give Allen a chance to win it in OT on a FG.
Now that 3rd down call was atrocious by Brady though.
I'm not going to disagree with you too much as I definitely get the argument kicking the field goal.
I personally just would have put the game in Josh's hands.
If they don't get it- worst case scenario they have to go 98 yards in 3 minutes . And if they do somehow get a TD, Josh should still get another chance .
But you have a valid point- I'm just a bit more on the aggressive side, full disclosure

Love it! You Americans and our neighbours from the south have some awesome bourbons.
I Definitely have to try more of them

Cannot say that I have. Every one of my uncles was all about Canadian Blended though.
That does remind me of one of my favorite dad jokes though... a baby seal walks into a bar, the bartender says "What'll you have?" The baby seal says "anything except a Canadian Club on the rocks"
Hahahaha. CC normal whiskey is a bit rough. (I like it myself but I get why people don't)
The 100 percent rye is a game changer though . Definitely recommended -

Baltimore was moving the ball too well. Just too risky imo.
If you're worried about Baltimore's offence, then exactly my point- Go for it and win the game

Love it! Canadian club, 100 percent rye myself.
You ever try it?-

The Andrew’s drop is the entire point of taking the points there. You force them to be perfect needing a TD and 2 pt conversion. Worst case, Josh Allen still had 1:31 left to go win the game in regulation with a FGI can agree with your second point. But I'm not sure relying on an all pro tight end to drop a lay up pass wasn't just pure luck
I am not saying it's an outrageous call to kick the FG. But I would rather put the game in 17s hands and if you get two yards, it's over. If you don't, then Baltimore has to be perfect to drive 98 yards

That's all on Andrew's.
I realize how important it is for so many to bring Lamar down, but in no world is that not all on Andrews.
Plus his 4th quarter fumble. He had two massive blunders that cost them the game

The Bills could have potentially put on 40 points...They came up with 2 FGs in the 2nd half...It was enough to win...but if those are TDs then 40 points is there.
He said the bills would win by 40.
In no world should the bills have won by 40 tonight.
Im as thrilled as anyone- But it took 3 turnovers and a dropped Andrews pass to win the game by 2 points

Turnovers were the difference.
Objectively the ravens controlled the game for the most part.
But... The nfl is a matchup league and I don't think the bills match up well against Baltimore- So massive to get those key plays on defence.
On to Kansas city

Nah. The FG took the Bills dormie, as in there's no way they lose in regulation.
As it turned out, the ravens needed 88 yards after the kickoff and got it easily.
Andrews drops it after you fail on 4th down and now you're trailing 25-24 and need to drive to win the game.
It's was absolutely the correct game management move, and I have been one of the more strident critics of McD's game management.
You could have definitely lost it in regulation. (Or in overtime and we all know the bills overtime record)
Andrews catches the ball, and you go 3 and out on offence.
The bills played not to lose on that sequence, and got a huge break with the drop

That's fine for packages or even 50%+. But we backed KC off earlier in there year with a couple of explosives to Cooper early and that's what this offense was missing tonight imo.
Ya I gotta see the all 22 clips. But it definitely looked like Baltimore crowded the box in the 2nd half.
You think that there should have been a few shot plays to Cooper, but never saw it -

Exactly. Do this stupid stuff against kc and you lose. We beat kc this year because we went for it. If Andrews catches that 2 pointer and this easily could have been another blunder. Happy with the win. But you play to win. Bills narrowly avoided disaster. This goes to ot I think we are singing a different tune.
Ya I thought Brady and McDermott were too conservative tonight.
You can't play to lose against KC and put it in the hands of Mahomes/ the refs

Huge fan of Lamar- He stood up for Andrews.
Unlike Joe burrow who throws his teammates under the bus-

Lopsided Ravens - Bills Box scores

My overall point is the ravens outplayed them, and it took 3 turnovers to win the game by 2 points , and from a drop by Andrews.
I'm as thrilled as anyone with the win.
But Im getting crucified for saying the ravens were the better team lol- I thought pretty objectively they were as the yards were like 420 to 270.
They made a few massive mistakes. Bills did enough to hang on which is fantastic.
Now onto KC
