I was there today and close to the field on the Bills side. Watched warmups and sideline stuff. Josh is hurt. Throwing shoulder. You could see it during pregame warmups. During warmups before drives. How he grabbed his shoulder after missing on the first play of the game. How he missed his throws early and often. Great guts and execution to get us the win, but throwing a little less for a few weeks and having an extra day now he can get a little better, have a run first game against NE and be himself by Miami.
Diggs was also hurt on the first play, his neck, but also had a little limp jogging on and off the field. Two gamers who did enough for us to win and head home for a Merry Christmas.
That's interesting. Thanks for that insight on Josh as I didn't notice that myself

Apparently you can muff a kickoff now.
Haha on that fumble? Ya that was a bizarre play, don't think I've seen that before

Josh has got to start taking and completing the easy throws. He makes life a lot harder on himself. The throw to Diggs on 3rd down late in the game was such an incredibly difficult throw. Great to watch but man, such a hard throw.
You're right.
I think it all goes back to getting josh in a rhythm.
Hes not a QB who's going to be good "managing" the game with 20 pass attempts.Got to let him cook a bit

Great Bills win. Don't over analyze it.
Yep agreed. 3 turnovers to 0. Some lame penalties. Weird dynamics for travel schedule .
a win is a win

Bills simply didn't have a lot of plays on offense tonight. Kind of a weird game.
You're definitely right.
But it seemed like they leaned into a more heavy 12 personnel/run game plan when they did have the opportunity

Is that you Ken Dorsey?
Out of curiosity what would you like out of Josh Allen-
18 pass attempts for our 44 mil franchise QB and turn him into a game manager with 15-20 passes a game?

Agree on underutilization of Kincaid but also where were the throws to Cook out of the backfield. Not a great game plan today.
Yep agreed. And chargers weak point was their Lbs/safeties
This should have been a big game for cook receiving

I can’t remember the miss. Wasn’t it a block?
I think it was a block in that Tampa bay game

-3 Turnovers, and that 1 series with all the penalties, basically -4 in turnovers. Hard to get the pass going when you're coughing it up, Josh included. I still have no idea why he attempted that throw with an easy 4-5 yards right in front of him. Just keep the sticks moving bro! It's like they took the lead, and Josh said, you know what, let's attempt some high risk *****!
All fair points.
I just still think the pass/run ratio should have been a little more lopsided

Was Kincaid ever really a difference maker at any point this year?
He has been at times.
But they seem to get away from him.
Like he had a few big first half's against the jets/eagles/tampa, and then they don't target him much in the 2nd half

We are finding ways to win but I don't think we are getting to the Superbowl with diggs having 30 yards, kincaid 1 catch, Josh 1 passing TD etc ..
Need to get the passing game going. It looked bad for most of the game today.
Agreed. Since Knox has been back , Kincaid has disappeared. I don't like that at all and Brady needs to fix that

That play Allen made to Shakir while being blitzed was incredible. It won the game. Not many QB’s in history get that ball off.
100 percent agreed. Which goes back to
my original point, it's almost criminal they only gave Josh like 21 pass attempts to make special plays like this

Josh needed LESS pass attempts. When he's sucking the last thing you do is send him out there slinging it around trying to make things happen. That's how interceptions are born.
If Cook was having a bad game why not more Fournette and Murray?
He's a rhythm QB.
He needs 30 plus attempts a a game.
I still believe the reason he struggled tonight at times and even last week on his limited pass attempts, is because he operates much better with higher volume/spread offence. Basically what made him successful as an elite QB

I definitely haven’t loved the passing game, but I think Brady needs an offseason to instal his philosophy.
Agreed for sure.
But I just wish he would go back to the jets/eagles game plan.
More 11, spread offence

I don't disagree. It has always been the case with Josh. He wants the ball in his hands and plays best when it is a lot. That is what the "Josh centric" crowd miss. Josh is at his best and most dialled in when it is Josh centric.
The issue tonight though was just didn't have that many plays. We got dominated TOP because of the turnovers.
Well said. Agreed

Kincaid has disappeared as did the pass game to the backs
Yep. I still think the bills offence is
much better without Knox.
Simplify it- 11 personnel with Shakir/kincaid. Let Josh be Josh and mix in the run with cook

We went too far in our search for balance, which isn’t surprising with a first time coordinator. I need to see Josh get back to 300-4td before I’m comfy with Brady. If he can boomerang the offense back to that we might be sitting pretty
I think Knox being back has messed up Brady a bit
Just go back to the jets/eagles game.
11 personnel.
Mix in the run of course. Get cook involved in the passing game.
But more importantly let Josh get in a rhythm

I may get roasted for this so feel free too
Last week? Ok the run game went well so 15 passes was necessary.
But against one of the worst pass defences in the league and what, 21 passes or something tonight?
Not good enough in my opinion.
Josh Allen is a rhythm QB and he needs 30 plus throws a game.Got the W so that's all that matters, but it's time to let Josh unleash a bit more in my opinion

17 pass attempts by Josh Allen.
way to go Brady -

More rushes than throws again this week. That’s the way to press your advantage at QB, right?

He isn't good when you ask him to manage a game

Joe Brady is absolutely horrible this game.
You have a franchise QB and we have what, 20 passes today against the worst pass defence? -
Soft zone coverage against Stick..
Like what are we doing here????

Josh Allen Needs Way More Pass Attempts

Agreed. Simple is sometimes better.
When you have like 10 different personnel packages, It's just hard to get in a rhythm that way
