Defense looks solid. Offense is mostly check downs and gimmicks, combined with awful defense on the other side. It was always going to be a tough game but it's pretty clear we are competitive too.
Gore just carved up the league's #1 rush D and Yeldon proved rather effective in the pass game. Singletary so far has looked stellar too. I don't think they are the reason Allen isn't checking down.
I agree on all counts except I think you're being hard on John Brown. I don't think he was given the opportunity to prove his #1 status. I saw him getting open against a top secondary and even in tight spots he made some beautiful catches - I recall an outstretched grab across the middle from Josh and then his one-armed snag from Barkley with Gilmore right there. Could we benefit from another strong WR? Of course. But I think John Brown has the goods to be our top guy.
Tennessee is the most puzzling team in the NFL, at least since Mariota has been their QB. They sometimes look tough and sometimes look awful. I think we should beat them, but who knows.
That's where I'm at. Maybe he wasn't head hunting, but it sure looked like it. Unnecessarily violent hit while his teammate was already on his way to wrapping him up.
