  1. LOL of course this rumor was true. Well, Tyrod better be up for some shootouts.
  2. Still a bit Green though.
  3. Detroit Lions: http://deadspin.com/why-your-team-sucks-2016-detroit-lions-1785297993
  4. He'll be good depth. Still want Manny back for week 1 and still wanna see Striker and LorAx get some solid reps.
  5. Yeah, I was gonna make that point. Would have been pretty hilarious.
  6. A little catch-up reading for everyone: Oakland Raiders LA Rams
  7. They definitely plan to use Bush in that role, but they would use him more if (knock on wood) we suffer some injuries to the RB corps. He's good to have because he can be used in a specialist type role for the most part but be able to step up if there is a need. It helps save a spot on the 53. But if JWill looks solid he could stay on the roster all year too.
  8. If that is the case, I'm sure Kyle can teach him a few things.
  9. EJ gifted the Jags points, but he also brought the team back. A questionable PI call and a blown coverage gave the game back to them. It was a disaster to watch, but if we didn't let Jacksonville score on us that last time we'd be talking more about EJ's resiliency than his horrible first half.
  10. Agreed. Unless we get a too-good-to-pass-up offer from a team that ends up really needing a QB midway through the season, and Cardale shows more progress, EJ stays. I don't know if I'm ready to trust Cardale based on his single preseason performance agaisnt third and fourth stringers.
  11. It was an interesting remark and a fair one. He seemed OK tonight. Possibly good enough to stay as swing tackle again while we wait and see on Seantrel's recovery. Frankly I really didn't even know who the kid was before the game tonight. I know him from being listed above Striker on the depth chart, but he didn't make any plays that we particularly impressive. That said, Striker didn't really do anything either. Was kind of disappointed about that, but I'll give him a couple more games.
  12. I can't imagine they'd cut him just yet. Boom would be more likely to go because he hasn't shown anything even in practice. Think it's safe to say McCoy, Karlos, Bush and Gillislee are the top four. JWill may make the roster until Karlos gets back and then we stash him on PS unless he really tears it up.
  13. Yeah, I didn't see much from Boykin for most of his time out there, but it was a good TD.
  14. Mario Butler? Did I miss something? Thought he was OK, certainly better than Moore. Thought Seymour looked good too by the way.
  15. Caught most of the game thanks to the nifty stream. Let's talk about who looked good and who looked bad. Helped their case: 1) Walter Powell - Thought he looked really good tonight. Good hands, good routes, can return kicks (didn't have the best showing in that regard, but we know he's capable). 2) Cardale Jones - Looked remarkably comfortable and mostly accurate tonight. Good last drive, huge frame made him hard to take down. I was impressed. 3) Chris Gragg - Don't remember him being a part of special teams in years past, but he blocked that punt and caught that beautiful TD (shout out to EJ on that pass). Gragg always seemed to have more chemistry with EJ than our other QBs, but I think he's made a good case to stay on the roster. 4) Duke Williams - Had an awesome game. Hit hard, made plays on the ball. 5) Blake Annen - Couple nice receptions, didn't notice much in the way of blocking but I'm curious to know if anyone paid attention to that aspect of his game tonight. Hurt their case: 1) Leonard Hankerson - Pretty obvious, dropped several passes. 2) Randell Johnson - Like the guys athleticism, but didn't seem to make any positive plays, capping it off with a horrid personal foul near the end of the game. 3) Brandon Spikes - Definitely looked rusty out there. I'm glad to have him back, but he clearly needs some more time to learn this defense. Won't be cut of course, but I thought he had a bad game. 4) Sterling Moore - Gave up a big TD 5) James Wilder Jr (& Boom) - We all knew Boom wouldn't make the final 53, but with all the hype Wilder had from the media, He really looked lousy tonight. Plus he had some penalities in special teams. Who else made an impression on you guys one way or the other?
  16. Nicely done Jones!
  17. EJ ripped it up last preseason.
  18. Just wait for Striker to show us what he's got!
  19. Duke looking good out there! I'm tellin' y'all he was great at Nevada. Would love for him to put it together.
  20. All second half I bet.
  21. Hankerson is done.
  22. Hopefully a new 6th round pick will be dominating the AFCE.
  23. I think this is a new deal that voids the old deal. It would say "extension" otherwise, I think. Flippin' awesome!
